Ah, exploring the country on the open road in your RV there's nothing quite like it, right? You've got all the conveniences of home, anywhere you roam. And since convenience is a priority, the guidance pros at Magellan teamed up with the RV enthusiasts at The Good Sam Club to make the ideal travel partner for you and your RV. The RoadMate Pro 9165T portable navigator has a big 7" display for easy viewing, plus special features like free traffic updates in most metropolitan areas to make your excursions more enjoyable.
Take a look
The nice big windshield on your RV is great for taking in the view, but it's not always the most convenient spot for your portable navigator. The RoadMate Pro 9165T's Heavy Duty Extension Mount makes it easy to secure your navigator on the dash or windshield, and it gives you an extension arm so you can maneuver the 7" touchscreen into the optimum position.
Find your way
The RoadMate Pro 9165T features maps of the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico, plus 6 million points of interest so you can find nearby RV parking, services, and accommodations. Enter your vehicle's height, width, weight, and Hazmat type, and this navigator will find the best possible routes, avoiding narrow bridges tunnels, and other potential trouble spots. You can follow the action on the 7" display, or listen to the voice prompts that eliminate confusion by announcing actual street names at turns.
More RV fun
Magellan makes it especially easy to find stops near highway exits, so you don't waste time on a long trip. Lane guidance in the contiguous 48 states also saves you from last-second maneuvering when you need to make an important turn. The RoadMate Pro 9165T also includes U.S. and Canada campground information from Trailer Life Directory along with Good Sam Club discount locations if you're a Good Sam Club member, you'll know if you can enjoy your discounts before pulling off the road. You'll also get info on Wi-Fi® availability, pet friendliness, and customer ratings.
More extras like Bluetooth®
It's dangerous fumbling for your phone while you're driving, but you can make and receive hands-free calls with your compatible phone through the RoadMate Pro 9165T. And you'll find that route optimization takes the hassle out of running errands by showing you the most efficient way to hit multiple spots on the same excursion. Magellan's OneTouch menu lets you save your favorite destinations and searches so you can pull them up without scrolling through multiple screens.
You can connect a rear-view camera to the 9165T through its built-in A/V input and use the navigator as a screen. Magellan does not include a connection cable for the A/V input.

this is not updated to all the roads, i am very dissatisfid
I've been using a Magellan Roadmate Pro 9165T for two months on an extended RV trip throughout Canada's Maritimes and New England. I've owned two Tom Tom GPS units previously, and as soon as I return home I'm going to dump the Magellan and get another Tom Tom. I purchased the Maggie based on its embedded Trailer Life POIs and the recommendation by Good Sam and TL, but it is one of the worst electronic investments I've ever made. Three times, using the Trailer Life POI to route me to a campground, the GPS gave me serious errors. The first was to send me to the wrong side of a marsh with no entrance to the campground. The second was to provide an incorrect address, and the third was to send me to a different campground than the one I selected, 15 miles away. In addition, the Magellan voice commands use street names when most major roadway signs show route numbers. This has resulted in unnecessary confusion when approaching complex intersections and the street name isn't listed on any of the direction signs. In addition, Magellan tech support has been virtually impossible to reach, either on line or by phone. An e-mail I sent on their tech support web site three months ago has yet to be answered. I am well-aware that all GPS units have issues -- roads and POIs do change -- but based on my experience with my Tom Toms, I am extremely disappointed in the Magellan, especially after paying a premium price for the unit.
Pros: Large screen, Trailer Life POIs.
Cons: Too many errors on mapping and audio directions, poor customer support,
Very happy with the unit, does just as advertised, easy to see & understand.
not bad for first of its series,it locks up now and then and is slow at times but over all it is a good gps with good info.do not leave in cold car as it takes forever to warn up.i think there is still nobody has come close to magellan gps
Cons: locks up,need to take out of car when cold
