Features

Overview: The PIE FRDN-DVD is a Ford connector DVD retention harness. The FRDN-DVD will allow you to replace your Ford factory head-unit and retain the audio and power to your OEM DVD player. With the FRDN-DVD, the audio from the Ford OEM DVD player can be connected to the auxiliary input (if equipped) of your aftermarket radio to allow the DVD audio to be heard over the vehicle's audio system. (Infrared headphones will no longer work with this system.) The FRDN-DVD harness consists of a molex-plug on one end which connects to your vehicle's factory plug, and stereo RCA audio male connectors on the other end (requires audio cable) which connect to your aftermarket head unit's rear-panel AUX input . There is also a red, 12-volt accessory wire which must be hardwired.

Note: If the aftermarket head unit is only equipped with a front-panel auxiliary input, then you will need a minijack-to-RCA adapter cable (sold separately).

Compatibility: The FRDN-DVD is designed for select 2003 vehicles with 20-pin "World" style connectors. Compatibility for the FRDN-DVD includes the following vehicles.

  • 2003 Ford Expedition (Excluding Navigation)
  • 2003 Lincoln Navigator
