Two, you can route the adapter cable to your glove compartment or center console, so your iPod stays safely out of sight. The sound quality is amazing and so clear. I used my wife's iPhone 4, it was like listening to a CD directly from the disc player. There was no muffled sounds like the one's I get from my USB.
