About the P.I.E. iPod® adapter for Pioneer

This P.I.E. adapter allows you to connect an iPod to your Pioneer changer-controlling receiver (with IP-Bus input). One end of the adapter has an iPod dock connector, and the other end plugs into your Pioneer receiver's IP-Bus input. You'll also need to connect a 12-volt positive power lead and a ground cable.

You will continue to control your iPod's music from your iPod's clickwheel or touchscreen.

Note: Be sure to check "Details" for specific iPod model compatibility with this adapter.

Note: When the PIO/P-POD adapter is hooked up to the IP-Bus input, a Pioneer CD changer cannot be connected to the receiver.

Features

Overview: The PIE PIO/P-POD digital iPod interface converts the Pioneer IP-Bus CD-changer port to an iPod dock connector. The PIO/P-POD digital iPod interface allows audio playback and charging of your iPod through your compatible IP-Bus Pioneer in-dash head unit. You will continue to control your iPod's music and view song information from your iPod's clickwheel or touchscreen.

Note: The PIE PIO/P-POD does not support metadata transfer or control. It is not compatible with iPhone.

Pioneer Head Unit Compatibility: The PIE PIO/P-POD is compatible with select in-dash Pioneer head unit's which are equipped with a IP-Bus CD-changer port.

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change functionality results. If you download a newer software version, you may need to reset the head unit and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality. If this doesn't work, you may need to wait until a newer software update is available.

Connections: Measuring approximately 6', the iPod interface cable has a Pioneer IP-Bus connector, which connects to the CD-changer port of your compatible Pioneer in-dash head unit. At the other end of the cable is a male iPod dock connector, which connects to the bottom of your compatible iPod.
