Protection
Circuits: This amp has three types of
protection circuits: DC offset, short circuit, and thermal protection. The
Power/Protection LED on the left side of the amplifier will glow red to indicate
that the amplifier has gone into protection.
Low-pass
Filter: The low-pass filter can be adjusted from 50 to 250 Hz and has a
slope of 12 dB per octave.
Bass Boost: For added low
frequency performance, this amplifier has a selectable bass boost centered at 45
Hz. The boost can be set to 0, 6, or 12 dB.
Subsonic Filter: The subsonic
filter allows the amplifier to block ultra-low frequencies that your subs can't
reproduce, improving the efficiency of your speaker system. The filter is
adjustable from 20 to 50 Hz and has a slope of 12 dB per octave.
Phase Control:
This control allows you the adjust the phase of
the subwoofer's output signal from 0 to 180° to correct for any possible
mismatch and resulting cancellation between the subwoofer and other speakers in
your system.
Line Outputs: The amp includes
a pair of RCA line outputs for sending an unfiltered signal to another amplifier
or component without splitting the signal.
High-level Input:
The HA700M is equipped
with a high (speaker) level input, allowing you to connect the amplifier to a
receiver or factory radio without RCA preamp outputs.
Inputs and Outputs Notes
Gold-plated Terminals: The
HA700M features gold-plated speaker and power terminals and RCA jacks for
maximum signal transfer and corrosion resistance.
Set Screw Terminals: The power,
ground, remote turn-on, and speaker output connections feature set-screw
terminals. The power and ground terminals are 0.431" wide, while the remote
turn-on and speaker terminals are 0.311" wide.
Remote Turn-on: In addition to
turning on and turning off the amplifier via the head unit's remote output, the
remote turn-on also operates the reset circuit for the amplifier's protection
system. The remote turn-on lead must be connected to the head unit in order to
reset the protection circuits.
High-level Input: This 5-pin
jack allows you to use the supplied speaker-level input harness.
