Thinking about adding bass to your vehicle, but not sure where to start? Lightning Audio simplifies the process for you. This convenient bass package combines an amplifier and amp wiring kit with a slim profile, enclosed subwoofer—all you add is speaker wire.

The package features Lightning Audio's 2-channel B3.150.2 amplifier, which fires off 150 watts RMS at 4 ohms in bridged mode. This amp offers convenient connections for wiring your system, plus a Juice Boost bass switch to ramp up bass response.

10" subwoofer
The sealed sub enclosure provides strong low end with its formidable 10" woofer. The subwoofer's polypropylene cone joins with the chrome-plated basket and a rubber surround for strong performance, while the 40-ounce magnet anchors the motor structure for precise, reliable movement.

Sealed truck-style enclosure
The truck-style box provides a solid home for your sub with medium-density fiberboard construction and hardy gray carpet covering, while a stylish grille enhances the enclosure's look. This enclosure offers a slender profile (only 7-1/8" deep), so it'll fit into tight spots in pickups and smaller vehicles.

10-gauge wiring kit
A 10-gauge amplifier power and signal wiring kit from Lightning Audio completes the combo. The oxygen-free twisted pair copper wire cables keep noise from your car's electrical system to a minimum while maintaining clean signal transfer.

This system is great. i put it in my 2000 chevy s10 zr2 and its got more then enough power for me. The kit makes it very easy to install, it took me about an hour to set the whole thing up. great buy!

This bass package is excellent. I added this to my 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid; this is a great compliment to the factory speakers in conjunction to my Alpine 9857. I must say I was very surprised how clear the bass is, plenty of power for any vehicle. Unless you want to have the vehicle with the loudest, most unbalanced, and distorted glass shattering bass, then this is a great deal. My other vehicle has a custom $1400 speaker system with a kicker L5, and this simple but yet cheap set-up still sounds good in comparison. I also bought the streetwire 14 gauge speaker cable, this stuff in the install kit is ok, but when not spend and extra $7 to ensure a quality signal.

Great deal!!

This setup works great in my 03 F150. I kept my factory head unit and used the speaker-level inputs. Had no problems with the install, and the tech support helped me determine which wire I had to splice into behind the head unit. After it was all set up, it sounds great. I could use a little more bass, but hey, who couldn't? For the price, it's a great deal! Recommended to anyone looking to add some bass into their factory system!

Cheap but good

Gives me all the bass I need in the trunk of my old Ford Contour sedan without taking up much trunk space. My little 4 cylinder engine with stock alternator easily handles the load. Comes with complete installation kit. Does not have a remote control. By maxing out the controls on the unit I can get all the control I want using the equalizer and subwoofer fader on the CD/radio. Before you get a bigger unit be sure you want to give up the trunk space and can spare the extra power from your electrical system.

this system is good for small vehicles that is missing bass. dont expect low end freq with this system, its an add-on for stock systems. i added this to an 08 rabbit with an old 2 line output converter to the stock hu. the low profile sub enclosure is small enough that it doesnt take up too much space. hopefully i will get 1-2 few years out of this setup.

First, if you are looking for the best bass in the neighborhood, Stay away from this. However, if your are looking to have great bass inside your car as I was, this is a great product. Very clear bass. I added this to my kenwood receiver along with 4'' infinity door speakers and 6x9 sony speakers in the rear. I have a 2004 pontiac grand am. This is no competion system but it sounds great. Just what I wanted. Thanks Crutchfield team for helping me set up something that sounds great and is low budget!!!

I just put this sub package in my 95 F150. Very easy to install, took me like 30 minutes, and the sound is great. I have it connected to my Kenwood system and the bass is just right. It replaced my old bazooka tube, and I think it actually provides better overall bass and sound. Great product, and a great buy!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I wanted to improve the sound of the stock system in my 2006 Toyota TUNDRA Access Cab, and I added a pair of tweeters to the back speakers, which helped the sound clarity a lot. Now I needed some serious bass and I picked the Lightning system. All I can say is WOW ~!! Very clear and powerful bass with amazing THUMP and easy to install and adjust. The variable Cross Over, Filter and Boost are necessary and provide easy tuning of whatever music you like. From classical to hard rock that subwoofer kicks butt !

I'll second that

If you want to add a little bass to your factory stereo on a budget this system will work for you. Turn the low pass on, boost on and turn the gain up about half way with the amp bridged of course, and you are ready to go. It won't shake your rear view mirror off of your car, but it will create some good bass to fill in the void found in most factory car stereos. I paired mine with a CD player with auxillary input on the front and 4 6x9's and had a great sounding system for under 400 bucks.

This product is great. I put it in my toyota camry and I was very pleased how well in sounded. Your not going have the loudest subs in town but it fills the lows very nicely. It took me and a friend two hours to get it in. He was very impressed. Don't ignore it just becuase it's not one of the big name brands. If you don't want to spend a lot of money and get some good clean bass, but not shake your car apart this product is for you. Thanks Crutchfield for your service and fast free shipping!
