Lightning Audio's L-4300 4-channel amplifier can put out 50 watts RMS to each of your front and rear speakers, adding impact and clarity to your music. If you're running just front speakers and a subwoofer, you can set up this amp to send 50 watts RMS to each of the two full-range speakers, with 150 watts RMS going to the sub. Or, for you bassheads, you can use the L-4300 in 2-channel mode to run a couple of subwoofers with 150 watts RMS each, 300 watts total.
Versatile connections and controls
This amp can take its input via RCA cables from an aftermarket receiver or from your vehicle's speaker wiring, so it can work with almost any vehicle's system. Separate gains, high- and low-pass filters, and bass boosts for the front and rear channels let you set up your L-4300 like two separate amplifiers, each running speakers or subs adjusted individually for optimal tone and efficiency.

Features
Overview: The Lightning Audio L-4300 is part of the LA series of amps are designed for moderately sized mobile audio systems. The L-4300 is a Class AB 4-channel amplifier that outputs 50 watts per channel RMS at 4 ohms, 75 watts per channel at 2 ohms, and 150 watts x 2 channels at 4 ohms bridged. It comes with a high-level input harness, extra fuses, and mounting hardware.
Front / Rear Controls: The L-4300 is essentially two 2-channel amplifiers, one for the front channels and one for the rear channels, in a single chassis. The amp has separate controls for the front and rear channels.
Gain Control: The amplifier has independent gain controls for front and rear channels to match the amp to the preamp output voltage of the connected head unit. The input sensitivity is variable from 150mV to 4V (low level) and 300mV to 8V (high level).
Crossover: The L-4300 is equipped with variable 50Hz - 250 Hz Butterworth crossovers with a 12dB per octave slope. A 3-way switch lets you select High Pass (HP), Low Pass (LP), or All Pass (AP). The crossover frequency control can be adjusted with a small screwdriver, and has markings at 50Hz, 75Hz, 100Hz, 175Hz, 225Hz, and 250Hz. The crossover sets the upper frequency limit of the amplifier output.
Bass Boost: The L-4300 includes selectable bass boost controls for front and rear channels. These controls allow you to increase the bass response by 0dB, +6dB or +12dB. The bass boost is centered at 45Hz.
Connections: The Lightning Audio L-4300 features nickel-plated screw-down terminals for power and speaker connections. The screws can be tightened/loosened with a slotted or Phillips screwdriver (not included). The amp terminals are as follows:
- Power/Ground: The power and ground connections use screw terminals that are 1/2" wide, and accept up to 4-gauge wire. Based on the 50A fuse rating of the amplifier, an 8-gauge amplifier wiring kit is recommended. A 50A fuse should be placed on the power wire no more than 18" from the battery.
- Fuse: The amplifier has two 25A ATO (blade-type) fuses installed. Two spare 25A fuses are included with the amp.
- Remote Turn-on: The screw terminal for the remote turn-on lead is 0.33" wide. You can use 18-gauge or 16-gauge wire for the turn-on lead.
- Speaker Terminals: Four pairs of screw terminals are provided, allowing you to connect a two pairs of speakers to the amplifier. The terminals are marked for left and right, front and rear, and for bridging the amplifier. The screw terminals for the speakers are 0.33" in diameter, allowing you to use up to 10-gauge speaker wire.
- Line Level Input: Two pairs of stereo RCA jacks are provided for the input signal for the front and rear channels. These RCA jacks are mounted on the "control" side of the amplifier.
- High Level Input: Two 4-pin Molex connectors are provided for plugging in the supplied high level input harnesses. These harnesses allow you to connect a factory head unit, or an aftermarket stereo without RCA jacks. The source unit's speaker wires should be spliced to the high level input harnesses.
