The Automatic Imaging function automatically adjusts the picture for maximum intelligibility in different lighting conditions. The package includes RCA extension cables, so this camera will work with almost any receiver with composite video inputs. Once connected, you can use the dash-mount switch to select from three different views: panorama, ground view, and split left/right view. The camera comes with its own mounting bracket, but you can pair it with Alpine's KTX-C10LP license plate mounting kit, for a handy and stealthy installation solution. Warranty: 1 year.

Note: A rear-view camera provides an additional view when reversing your vehicle. It is intended to be used in conjuction with your rear- and side-view mirrors to give a fuller picture of what's behind you. It is not intended as a replacement for your mirrors.

Q
If not using an Alpine head unit, what monitor do you recommend pairing with this?
paul  Mar 08, 2017

A
any head unit that have an video rca input or monitor.
bradley  Mar 09, 2017
Q
I like this idea, but can the Alpine front and rear cameras be connected to a DVR for recording?
carl  Mar 22, 2016
1 answer
A
This camera offers a standard composite video (RCA) connection so, if you wanted to add some third-party DVR recording device that offered the composite video input, it's possible. None of the aftermarket stereos models offer a built-in DVR feature though. If you really want to record video while you drive, a dedicated dash camera with built-in memory is the far better solution: http://www.crutchfield.com/g_428250/Dash-Cameras.html?tp=65802 I hope that helps!
