Love the clarity.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
I've been testing the unit for a couple days and overall it's really impressive. The sound is crisp and clear, with expressive detail in the audio production. I have tested both BT and Aux inputs from a Samsung Galaxy Note 7. BT is adequate, certainly great for BT 2.0. I would like to have aptX in the unit with BT 4+. But, the Aux input works as well. To my ears, the bass and treble seems clearer when using the Aux input, from the Note 7 via USB-C and an AudioQuest Dragonfly. In that configuration I can hear a lot of detail and punch in my music and podcast voices are very listenable. I like to listen to podcasts at 2x speed, so clarity is important and this unit fits the bill as well as my other Harmon Kardon unit, and it's much better than the factory unit in my Toyota. Pandora, Alpine Tuning, and general phone integration seem fine so far. HD radio is also fine but doesn't seem to get as many stations as I would expect, but I hardly listen to radio anymore so it doesn't really matter. Volume seems really good compared to my other cars, easily goes really loud. Bass is a little weak, I'm having a sub installed soon.
Pros: - Fantastic clarity. - Phone integration is working well. - Like the color change options. - Really easy to setup. - Companion TuneIt app seems to work well, with lots of settings from the community.
Cons: - Lack of BT HD / aptX audio. Alpine should spend $5 and add this to all models. (-1 star) - You'll probably need to reboot your devices to get everything from phone to deck talking.
