The KCM-123B allows you to connect 1 audio auxiliary source (with a mini-jack output) to any Alpine Versatile-Link™-ready M-bus head unit (model number will contain an "M," as in CDM-9821). Once connected, you can select the AUX source on your receiver and utilize the Bass Engine® sound-shaping functions to personalize the playback. (When using the KCM-123B cable, a CD changer cannot be connected to the receiver.) Warranty: 1 year.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
I have CDM-9803 headunit and thought this cable would be the greatest for my MP3 player!! I was wrong, it didn't work. I had doubts and thought maybe my head unit was busted. Nope I plugged in my buddies changer that worked perfect. So I definitely don't recommend this official Alpine wire.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Did research on both the adapter and my Head unit at Alpine.com. I have the older model 7893, and the owners manual stated I had the V-link function. Still, i didnt have the M in my model name. I gambled, and lost. Didnt fit. I have a AUX input for my CD-player, but not the right interface. Nice product though, wish it worked.

Not for 1998 Integra

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
This adaptor plugs right in to my factory Alpine radio (Acura Integra GS-R 1998), but the plug has 5 pins. The socket expects 8 pins. Regardless, it does not work.
Granted, my factory radio displays nothing on it that claims "M-bus" as the description states.
