Keep your factory look and controls

This Restyle kit lets you install an oversized Alpine receiver in your Ford while keeping your factory look. The package contains a dash kit that's been specially designed to make the big Alpine 8" screen look right at home in your F-150.

Plug it in and go

You'll need to hardwire your new Alpine to the car's parking brake, but the rest is easy. The included wiring adapter plugs directly from the Alpine receiver into your vehicle's factory wiring harness — no extra splicing or soldering needed. The package also includes a steering wheel audio control interface — no programming necessary, just plug it in and go. Warranty: 1 year.

Note: This Restyle package will allow you to control the Alpine receiver with the steering wheel audio controls in your vehicle. It will not retain the factory Bluetooth functionality on your steering wheel, including SYNC and hands-free phone calls. It will not work with factory Sirius and XM satellite radio tuners.

Features

In-Dash Restyle Systems: The Alpine in-dash navigation receivers with an 8" LCD touchscreen will not fit a standard Single-DIN or Double-DIN dash opening. To accommodate this large screen in your vehicle's dash, Alpine offers a line of In-Dash Restyle System packages specifically for these receivers. Alpine's In-Dash Restyle System installation packages allow the Alpine navigation receiver with 8" LCD touchscreen to fit seamlessly into select vehicle dashes. In-Dash Restyle Systems are designed to cosmetically match the shape, color and texture of the vehicle's interior.

Compatibility: The Alpine KTX-FPU8 In-Dash Restyle System installation package allows seamless integration of the Alpine 8" LCD touchscreen navigation head unit in select 2009-up Ford F-150s (excludes Lariat edition and trucks with factory navigation). This In-Dash Restyle System will not retain the factory SYNC system, factory Bluetooth functionality, or factory SiriusXM satellite radio tuners. As always, please consult Crutchfield's Outfit My Car to verify fit with your vehicle.

OEM-Like Appearance: The KTX-FPU8 In-Dash Restyle System has been specifically fitted and engineered to fit select 2009-up Ford F-150s perfectly. It comes with a specially formed OEM-grade, high quality/high strength ABS plastic radio housing that is color matched to the dash. This allows the unit to precisely fit not only the vehicle, but also the Alpine 8" LCD touchscreen navigation receiver. In addition, extra care is taken to match the factory dash's shape, texture, and color ensuring a more OEM-like appearance. Unlike traditional universal dash kits, the Alpine In-Dash Restyle System packages include direct fit OEM-like brackets to ensure sturdy support and accurate positioning of the radio in your vehicle's dash.

Vehicle+Radio Harness: This In-Dash Restyle System comes with a vehicle+radio harness for simple installation between the Alpine 8" LCD touchscreen receiver and your 2009-up Ford F-150. You get all the necessary harnesses and adapters in the box to install the Alpine 8" LCD touchscreen navigation receiver in your 2009-up Ford F-150.

Note: The vehicle+radio harness contains three Molex connectors which plug into your Ford F-150's factory radio harness. On the same end of the harness is a 10-pin connector which plugs into the included Ford stereo replacement interface module (KCX-SRMFD). On the other end of the harness is a 16-pin Alpine radio connector which plugs into the radio connector port on the back of the Alpine 8" LCD touchscreen navigation receiver. There is also a mono-sub RCA connector and stereo AUX input connector which plugs into the corresponding ports on the Alpine 8" LCD touchscreen. In addition, you will need to make two hardwired connections between the supplied vehicle+radio harness and your vehicle's Parking brake (Yellow/blue) and Foot brake (Yellow/black). There is a remote turn-on lead (Blue/white) to connect an aftermarket amplifier.

Steering Wheel Controls: The In-Dash Restyle System also includes steering wheel remote interface cable (KCX-SWCFD). For 2009-up Ford F-150 trucks with factory steering wheel audio controls, the KTX-FPU8 retains the capability to control the Alpine 8" LCD touchscreen navigation receiver's volume, source, and playback controls. There is no additional programming required, simply plug & play. The 3.5mm connector of the steering wheel remote interface cable plugs into the 3.5mm remote input of the Alpine 8" LCD touchscreen receiver.

Note: Steering wheel controls not compatible with 2011-2012 Ford F-150s.

Q
Will this wiring kit work with other radios like a Jenson or only alpine?

A
The Alpine KTX-FPU8 In-Dash Restyle System installation package is only compatible with select Alpine head units. It wouldn't work with any other manufacturer other than Alpine. I hope that helps! My bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=159

As far as I know your going to be limited to a few colors. They do carry a wood grain but, a lighter pine is not one of you options. Hope this helped
