You'll be the commander of your system with Alpine's MC10 wireless remote, as you control your receiver, along with an iPod® and a SIRIUS satellite radio, from anywhere on your boat. Two-way communication allows the MC10's big, bright LCD display to show you everything that's on the receiver's screen (except album art), giving you full control of your iPod and advanced functionality for your SIRIUS radio.

The MC10 works with Alpine's CDA-9886M and iDA-X100M marine CD receivers. Alpine has tested the MC10 rigorously to ensure it'll work even in the wet areas of your boat, so you can mount it anywhere.

Note: Sorry, Crutchfield cannot ship Alpine products to Guam or Puerto Rico.

Features

Overview: The Alpine MC10 wireless remote commander kit gives you multi-zone control over all your Alpine marine sources. In addition to control over your Alpine marine head unit, you get full control over additional sources like iPod, HD Radio, and Satellite Radio. The MC10 offers a full dot matrix LCD display with backlighting so you can view song/artist/album info plus volume levels and sub levels.

Marine Rated: The Alpine MC10 is has been marine tested and features an IPx6 waterproof/iPx6 High Pressure WJ design so you can mount it almost anywhere on your boat. The MC10 wireless remote is also Salt/Fog (ASTM B117) certified, and UV (ASTM G154/D4329) certified.

Compatibility: The MC10 wireless remote control is compatible with all Alpine marine head units that feature a wired-remote input and display connector. The MC10 is also compatible with the Alpine RUE-M1RF remote control kit.

RF Design: The Alpine MC10 wireless remote control kit includes an RF wireless remote control and RF wireless transceiver. The wireless transceiver plugs into the back of your compatible Alpine marine head unit using the wired-remote input and display input; while the wireless remote commander can be installed up to 30 feet away. The RF wireless transceiver allows the wireless remote commander and your Alpine marine head unit to communicate over a 2.4GHz frequency.

Note: Both the wireless remote commander and the wireless transceiver requires a power and ground connection. When the transceiver is connected to the head unit, the infrared pickup on the head unit becomes inoperative.

Installation: The remote commander features an integrated bracket system allowing you to mount the remote in an accessible location. The required installation measurements are approximately:

  • Cutout Diameter: 2-1/16"
  • Mounting Depth: 2-5/16"
  • Overall Diameter: 3-13/16"
  • Mounting Height: 3/4"

LCD Display: The Alpine MC 10 features a high contrast display designed to work in direct sunlight so you can view song information and audio functions.

Expandability: You can add additional RF remote commanders (MC1, sold separately) to allow system control from multiple locations like the swim step, open bow, or passenger area of your boat. You can program as many as eight remotes to work with the same Alpine head unit.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The MC-10 was the final piece in my boat installation. Since my new Alpine CDA-118M head unit is in the glove box on the passenger side, I installed the MC-10 next to the steering wheel now I have full control over the stereo from the driver seat. And the MC-10 actually shows MORE song/artist info than the head unit, and faster! The networked Alpine system is awesome: when I turn on the MC-10, it automatically turns on the CDA-118M, which automatically turns on the Stratus 6 via the Alpine network. And it all sounds great through the Alpine speakers. The two calls to Crutchfield tech support were promptly remedied. Thank you Crutchfield and Alpine!

Must have for your boat

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I installed the MC-10 and a new Alpine and now I wish I would've done so earlier. Being able to see all of the information that the radio displays is great. Switching from the CD changer, FM radio, Ipod and Sirius is a breeze. Another great product from Alpine.

You can easily see the information even in direct sunlight.
