This product has very serious longevity problems. In the time I've had this component in my system I've had to replace the MC2/MC20 more than 4 times-some under warranty and some not. The specific problems seem centered around the MC2 display -the display will go blank but the system will continue to operate but not respond to any input from the Mc20.Also the up and down control buttons on the display will suddenly start going off on their own;the volume will go up and down on its own

Pros: the ease of use with the mc20 is nice but far outweighed by the 'constant' need to replace the display unit.

Cons: This issue,in my opinion, degrades the whole Alpine line

IT works ok once hooked up and is fine for the radio presets and cd. For use with an ipod its tedious and really impossible to find a song unless you create your playlist on the ipod. The scrolling takes forever.

The wireless transceiver plugs into the back of your compatible Alpine marine head unit using the Steering Wheel remote input and display input; while the wireless remote commander can be installed up to 30 feet away. The RF wireless transceiver allows the wireless remote commander and your Alpine marine head unit to communicate over a 2.4GHz frequency.
