Alpine Authorized Online Dealer

V-Power amplifiers deliver the sound quality that made Alpine famous. Highly efficient power supplies housed in sleek black casings guarantee that these amps stand out in performance and appearance. The thermal management system dissipates heat and saves power, so your V-Power amp will run reliably for years to come.

The MRP-F300 4-channel amplifier sends 50 watts RMS to each of your front and rear speakers, or switches to 2-channel mode to power a pair of subwoofers. You can also switch to 3-channel mode, then power a subwoofer with 150 watts RMS while the other two channels power a pair of full-range speakers.

High- and low-pass filters put you in command of the frequencies that reach your speakers, while the bass boost is armed with plenty of low-end punch. Preamp- and speaker-level inputs allow you to connect this amp in almost any vehicle. Let a V-Power amplifier transform the sound of your car's audio system.

My system has plenty of power. Who needs an amp?

You might think you don't need an amp because you have a 400-watt system in your car, or because your new stereo puts out 50 watts a channel. But those are peak wattage ratings, which may boil down to 15 or 20 watts per channel, using the more realistic RMS rating. An amp sends your speakers the power they need to deliver your music with clarity and impact, whether you're using factory speakers or high-performance components. And low-frequency reproduction requires lots of power, so an amp is an absolute must if you're adding a sub to your system.

Features

Power Supply: The MRP-F300 amplifier's power supply uses MOSFETs to convert DC battery voltage to the higher DC voltages needed for high power. It supplies positive and negative voltages around 0V, rather than around 6V as with conventional single-polarity power supplies. The result is higher power levels and a dynamic range wider by as much as 10dB.

Inputs: The amplifier offers both line-level and speaker-level inputs for 4 channels. The supplied speaker-level input harness allows you to connect this amplifier to a receiver without preamp outputs; aftermarket or factory.

Line Outputs: This amplifier has a pair of non-fading stereo RCA line outputs. You can use these outputs to daisy-chain another amplifier without having to run additional signal cables from the receiver.

Terminal Covers: The amp comes with two plastic covers that protect and insulate the RCA, power, and speaker connections. Four supplied machine screws attach the covers to the amplifier.

Controls

Gain Controls: This amp has independent front and rear channel gain controls.

Crossovers: Both front and rear channels have independent high-pass and low-pass crossovers. The crossover points are continuously variable from 50-400 Hz and the slope of both is 12dB/octave. Each set of channels has a high-pass/low-pass/off switch.

Subsonic Filter: This amp utilizes a subsonic filter at 15Hz to eliminate super low frequencies that can rob power and damage speakers. The subsonic filter operates at all times; it cannot be turned off.

Bass EQ: The Bass EQ circuit provides a fixed boost of 12dB at 50 Hz for the rear channels only. The Bass EQ can be turned off and does not function when the amp's rear-channel crossover is set to high-pass operation.

Connections

Left Side Of Amplifier:

  • GND (ground): gold-plated screw terminal, 0.33" wide
  • Battery: gold-plated screw terminal, 0.33" wide
  • Remote: gold-plated screw terminal, 0.33" wide
  • Speaker Outputs: gold-plated screw terminals (8), 0.33" wide

Note: Alpine recommends 8 gauge power and ground wire (minimum).

Right Side Of Amplifier:

  • Line Inputs: 2 pair of gold-plated stereo RCA jacks
  • Line Output: 1 pair of gold-plated stereo RCA jacks
  • Speaker Level Input: Molex plug input for supplied 4-pin harness

Alpine MRP-F300 4 channel amp

Written By ATKAV, Boise on Tuesday, August 05, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This was my first time purchasing from Crutchfield's outlet. This Alpine "Dent/scratch" item was in perfect condition. I installed it running @ 8ohms 50w x4 RMS to a pair of full range Infinity Reference 4x6" & pair of 6 1/2" 3-way full range speakers. It's now controlled by a Pioneer double din BT audio head unit to replace the stock base stereo. I now look forward to running down to the gas station now just so I may listen to the highs and lows and make my ears bleed! It's awesome.

The only con to this amp is that it requires two pre-amp RCA lines running from the front and rear channels off the head unit if you want fading capability. So my fix for that was to run the pre-amp out off the amp to the rear channel input on the amp. No worries, I just don't have a rear fading channel. When I install a sub, I'll run another preamp line from the head unit and fix it.

Pros: Awesome clarity, old school wire terminals - I like that. Cost- a ton of power for less than $100

Cons: Separate front &rear channel line inputs. (Changed in later model Alpine Amplifiers.

If you are just powering door speakers, this is a very good amp. Sound Quality is excellent. It does not do a very good job with a single 10" JL Audio sub, however.

clean and clear 4 channel amp

Written By Willy, queens N.Y. on Tuesday, June 03, 2014

I bought this amp considering it had speaker level inputs and preamp output to connect to another clarion mono amp. I have infinity reference 6.5 components and coaxial in rear. The sound is very precise and clear. This amp makes these speakers loud and I wasn't expecting it. Great bang for the buck.

Pros: Clean and clear, size, versatile, nice blue light when powers on.

Cons: Mounting tabs broke cause its plastic, gets a bit hot.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This amp powers all 4 of my alpine speakers without any problems. I have no issues with the amp running hot, and I have plenty of power to run my speakers at high volumes. Alpine is definitely a brand to trust. Be careful when mounting the amp; the brackets can break. So far I have not had any issues with the amp mounted to my rear seat.

Pros: Great product especially for the price.

Cons: The mounting brackets are a little flimsy.

A solid reliable choice in power, great price

Written By flyguy, TN on Wednesday, April 09, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have always had a crush on the smaller Alpine amps. I have used these through the years in a lot of my systems. The key to this or any amp performance is a quality installation with quality wires. I bought this amp b/c it has H/L x-overs on both the front and rear channels. This amp does feature a bass boost function on channels 3 & 4. After some tuning, I decided not to use bass boost on the amp on the kicker 6x9's and use the more adjustable audio functions in the radio, and set the x-overs on the amp as back up if the radio ever got reset. The end caps hide/protect the connections on both sides of the amp. This amp was a good size , but easily fit under the pass seat of my 04 Ram quad cab.

Pros: Reliable Alpine quality, great features for the price. the gains came preset at 50%. After getting the new radio, amp & speakers installed, i tweaked on it for a while and decided to turn off the bass boost in the amp, and set the gains at 50%. This should be plenty of power for most 4 channel mids/highs set up. This amp could provide a reasonable amount of power in a 3 channel setup, (small sub, a pair of separates)

Cons: Be careful when installing them on a uneven truck floor through carpet etc, one of my screws was too short, thus breaking the little plastic mounting tab on one corner of the amp. no big deal, you never know it because of the end caps covering up the mounting screws and connections.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have Alpine SPS 610 C component speakers in the front doors and Alpine SPS 610 Coaxial speakers in the rear of my 1996 Tacoma pickup. The speakers are rated 80 Watts RMS. My 22 Watt RMS Kenwood head unit was just not up to the task of bringing out the best in these speakers. I decided to look for an Amp to help these speakers sing. I talked to several of the extremely helpful CSRs at Crutchfiled before making my choice. Some of them suggested the the Alpine MRP-F300. My biggest concern was that the Amp have enough power to push the 80 Watt RMS Alpine speakers. I am not talking about blowing out my neighbors but giving me strong, clear sound. I was not sure the Alpine MRP-F300 at 50 Watts RMS would have enough UUUMPH. I finally talked to Marshall who listened very intently to what I wanted. After a thorough discussion of my system and what I was trying to accomplish both now and as I add a sub he agreed the Alpine MRP-F300 Amp was a good fit. So I tore everything out of my truck cab and wired it for the amp with great anticipation. The moment of truth came when I fired up my system with Joe Walsh's Funk #49. I was BLOWN AWAY! I have been listening to this song since it was first cut and I was now hearing nuisances I had never heard before, not just loud but clear. Are you serious? I would have never thought that this 50 Watt Amp would make these 80 Watt speakers sing so beautifully. But it overwhelmingly does. Get one of these amps while they are still available!

Pros: Strong, Clear sound. Well built. It's an Alpine...

Cons: Are you serious?

I drive a 50 year old car as my daily driver. It's a 1963 VW Beetle. From the factory it had a radio delete plate, and I didn't want to change the dash or have to listen to commercials or dj chatter .... So I bought this little amp and was able to hide it and the speakers and just plug it up to my Iphone when I'm in the car.... Works great..!!! If your going for some record breaking db level, this may not be the amp for you...., but it's plenty loud for me. My wife and kids all keep telling me to turn it down... This amp small = great Plenty of power = great Since I've been running it it's been cool or warm to the touch, not hot at all...= great Price = great I could not be happier !!!!

Pros: Small, cheap, Quality brand, works great,

Cons: I have nothing bad to say about this amp or the service from Crutchfield....

Within all honesty alpine has blown me away with this one. They are able to pack so much power into such a small amp thats its amazing. I was running a r300-4 by rockford and let me tell you this one beats it out of the water. This thing took 6 hours of abuse and still ran pretty cool. This is a bargain for the price!

Pros: Compact design. Really puts out stated power. Price is unbeatable.

Mighty Amp, Small Size

Written By DayGuy J, Washington, DC on Tuesday, February 25, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this amp to replace an aging Orion 5 channel that had served it's purpose after 10 years and two different cars. I was replacing the complete sound system and wanted a reliable amp to power my separates front and rear. My old amp was monster in size, and always ran hot. I know of Alpine's reputation as a leader in this field. I reviewed the amp extensively at a local vendor and read review after review before making a final decision. I ordered it and had free 2 day shipping, giving me enough time to prep my vehicle for the install. Install was a breeze, setting it up alongside the 2 Alpine MRV-M500 amps for my subs.

Overall I am very satisfied with my experience with Crutchfield, prices are competitive. They are very knowledgeable in providing full details of products.

As for the amp, I am currently waiting on sound deadening for my car, and going to do a similar install on my brother' car in the coming week(end).

Pros: Price, size, performance

Cons: None noted

Recommended by the Crutchfield staff. Absolutely no clue how to upgrade my sound. Kept my factory HU, upgraded door speakers and added a mono amp/sub. Powers my speakers amazingly. Max volume before speakers, 33. I can actually surpass that volume at 15. A very noticeable cleaner and more quality sound. Would recommend to any person wanting to add power to their speakers at a very reasonable price.

Pros: Price, Quality, Size

Well built unit would have come with a 5 star rating if there had been a wiring kit available mainly a 70 amp fuse, a remote cable and grounding strap

Pros: Excellent value. discount on manufacturers retail price , excellent customer service which then recommended a full price replacement. Not really in my budget so will have to wait and see if the recommended unit goes on sale or the customer service will discount the recommended replacement.

Cons: Too big for my application wish all dimensions were displayed on the website and no available wiring kit

This amp is clean with no noise no pops or thumps of any kind. I can crank it further than what my ears can handle. It also fit Nicole under my driver seat of my tacoma access cab with no trouble at all and isn't even visible. I was nervous about buying this amp due to the cheap price but man am I glad I did.

This has been a great amp. I installed it in my wifes 2012 Hyundai Elantra to run some Infinity Reference series components in the front doors and Kicker coaxials in the rear. Sound is loud and clear. My wife listens to it pretty loud during her 45 minute commute and even during scorching summer temperatures it has never overheated.

Pros: Great amp for the price range, looks really good with end caps to conceal wiring.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

One of my door speakers blew in my 2002 Mustang GT with the Mach 460, so I just decided to replace the whole system since you can't find OEM replacement parts for the Mach 460 anymore. I replaced the 2 factory amps with just one of these amps and WOW did it really help wake up all 4 speakers. I also replaced all 4 speakers with Kicker CS68 speakers, and I also replaced the stock head unit with an Alpine HD137BT head unit. This amp went great with all the other new components. All the other 4 channel amps that I looked at were more expensive and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Don't ever hesitate to buy anything Alpine, they're always #1 to me when choosing car audio products. My system now sounds 100 times better than the original Mach 460.

Pros: Provides great power to all 4 speakers. Adds much more bass to all Speakers. Blends in well with the carpet in my trunk.

Cons: NONE!

powering 4 JBL GTO 6.5 speakers

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I recently updated my stock HU with a Kenwood and replaced my stock speakers with 4 JBL GTO 6.5 3-way speakers. They sounded really nice without the amp powering them, but WOW...when I installed the amp to all 4 speakers the sound really increased in quality. Everything is crystal clear and even the bass is much improved with the smaller speakers I don't think I'll put in any kind of sub. My speakers are 2 ohm so these actually put out 75 watts RMS to 2 ohm speakers which is perfect for the speakers that I have.

Great History

Written By Chris L, Richmond, VA on Wednesday, December 18, 2013

This is a great little amp and for the price is a steal! I purchased my first one a few years ago and had it driving two Alpine type R 12's in a 96 Landcruiser. It was waaay more than I needed but I didn't find myself downsizing the system. That same amp is driving 4 10" JL Subs now in the same vehicle driven and listened to everyday by my brother. Reliable.

This purchase was for my 4Runner and driving a 2-ohm JL W3 10" sub. It's a perfect match for power, small footprint and easy to tune. It would be nice if it had a parametric adjustment to the boost but that's pretty picky in the price range.

Pros: Price, size, ease of installation, clean look - ALPINE

Cons: None

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great amp for the money. Delivers more than enough power to my 4 Boston Acoustics 6x8's (each rated at 50 watts rms). The beauty in this amp is the ability to play at 75 watts x4 (2 ohms) or bridge it and get more power. High and low pass filters mean you get exactly the sound you want coming from each speaker. Cranking the gain results in crazy volumes, at least in my speakers. This amp makes me question whether or not my speakers can really handle 160 watts peak. I have to put the gain down a lot to be able to use the full volume range of my head unit without distortion. I ended up raising the gain and only using volumes 1-30 on the unit (goes to 50). Other than the great power, this amp transfers great quality as well. It also looks good, and is small enough to fit under a seat or anywhere else, really. Installation was a little tricky, considering i had to use connectors on every wire (may have been my fault for using too thick of speaker wire, though.

Pros: Great power, clean signal, great look, small size, filters, bass eq, plenty of gain control, barely heats up

Cons: installation was tricky, small wire terminals, can probably blow my speakers easily (not really a con, probably my own fault, again)

Perfect!

Finally my speakers and amps are installed. I'm running 4 Polk 571's and 2 1001's through the MRP-F300 at 2 ohms. Infinity BassLink completes the ensemble. The Alpine powers those speakers with no issues. I'll spare any boring details as those that know Alpine, know quality. If your running speakers off just the head unit, the Alpine will provide quite a surprise in the boost of sound quality. The professional I had install the system had nothing but positive comments. Special thanks to CRUTCHFIELD for many hours of patience in answering ALL of my questions and providing advice on having a solid setup without breaking the bank. MY SYSTEM RIPS.

Pros: No disappointments.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have this amp installed in a 2012 ford f-150 super crew. Its mounted under my front passenger seat powering 4 memphis m-class 5x7" coax. speakers ( with the external crossovers). It is running off of my factory deck so i used some PAC line converters. This amp make my speakers scream clarity. The speakers are rated for 50w rms and that is what the amp pushes. I could not ask for better. There is not much room under my seats to mount an amp but it def. fit with a piece of painted black 3/4" mdf board that the amp is screwed down to (had to lift the amp a little for the speaker terminals to clear the seat mounts on the floor). Installs clean and neat. I also have a mrp-m500 pushing one 10" phoenix gold in a custom ported box that is under the driverside rear seat. There was just enough room to mount the amp on the passenger side under the rear seat. All in all the whole package is awsome. Oh and just to help, so you do not have a head ache if you decide to install an aftermarket amp on a factory deck, go and get yourself what is called add a circuit or add a fuse and install that inplace of a fuse in you panel that works with the ignition. There is a wire that comes off it that can be hooked up to the remote wire to turn that amp on and off, and you stab you previous fuse into that and if you would like you can install another fuse for the remote wire there are two slots. Thanks Crutchfield for that tip it helped out!!!

Pros: sounds awsome, small size, plenty of power

Cons: does not accept 4ga. power and ground wire you will have to somehow find some connectors or clip back the wire to fit in the terminal

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this on sale. I wasn't even going to buy an amp because I was just going to upgrade my stock deck to a low end Kenwood and run off deck power, but the deal was too good to pass up, so I bought them both. I initially just used this as a 4 channel amp to power four 6 1/2" Eclipse speakers that came with the car when I bought it. I only turned the gain knob up maybe an 1/8 of the way before it was too much power to the speakers, but the sound quality and volume was 100% better than the stock deck. Out of curiosity, and the search for just a little more low end, I picked up a pawn shop Kenwood 10" sub for $30. I put all four 6 1/2s on channels 1 and 2, and bridged the sub on to 3 and 4(after a call to Crutchfield to check and see if technically could, of course). WOW! The Eclipse speakers, that sounded like they were blown with the stock deck, got even clearer and louder and the sub pumps! I think this is the clearest, most balanced system I have ever put together in 20 years. Not the loudest, but for a total of $260 (deck, amp, sub), I could not be happier.

Pros: Incredible value, easy install, crossovers and gain adjustments work wonderfully

Cons: none yet

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

If you are looking for a solid 4-channel amp, then the Alpine MRP-F300 is it. Don't be fooled by 50 watts RMS, the Alpine MRP-F300, tuned correctly, can max-out any set of speakers' dBs, mids and tweets, and turn'em into a gut wrenching, eardrum piercing experience. The adjustment features are perhaps one of the best things about the Alpine MRP-F300, with total control of filters, crossovers, and gain, there is no reason why you can't get the exact sound you're looking for, plus, spec-for-spec, you can't beat the price of this 4-channal amp. Need proof, take it from me, I ought to know, this is the second Alpine MRP-F300 I've purchased.

Pros: clean, clear, and loud!

Cons: nada!

This is a great little amp that fit nicely tucked away in my trunk. I am running 2 Pioneer 6x9s and 2 Pioneer 61/2s in my Honda Accord coupe and it sounds like I have a full blown system. This amp really pushes my speakers hard with clear powerful highs and rumbling lows that shake my rear view mirror like a sub is in the trunk. I would definitely recommend this amp to someone that wants to upgrade their stock system to something that really rocks.

Pros: Small size that fits anywhere. Powerful clean sound.

Cons: Small connection points make it difficult to connect lower gauge wires.

its been along time since i bought a amp i am 40 years young now had lots of amps when i was in high school but since i only always upgraded speakers an head units an they sound ok mutch better than stock and when i do somthing i do it right, this amp amazed me for the money! i have a 2012 suzuki equater crew cab truck (nissian frontier with zuk badging). installed a kenwood kdc-hd545u head unit got from crutchfield a few years ago great unit 4 single din. installed mtx 6 9 in front doors that i also had for about 7 years (was installed in my old honda suprised they were in as good cond as they were) also installed new polk audio dxi 650 in rear door got all mounting instructions and panel tool with order. instalation was a treamendous help would have never been able to do it as neat or as easy without crutchfields help. now when i first fired the amp up i was extreamly impressed then after i got the amps gain settings set WoW the clairity i was just amazed even when i faded rear new polks out and just listened to old setup with just amp installed was amazed and alot more punch than i expected for just 50 w per channel, with the polks sounded even better filled the cab with full sound but they a have little trouble handelin bass at loud volumes mtx 6 9 are a bassy speaker so works good for me till i can get a sub. not running crossover settings yet but did play with them they work very well alot better than the stuff i remember back in 90"s next step is getting a 10 sub.

Pros: love the amp. amazing clarity!!!! best little amp 4 the money looked at alot of amps an and did alot of compairing could not come close to it unless i spent twice the money.also gonna get matching mrp-500. alpines 500 watt mono amp if it is as good as this one it will be all i need for my small truck. caint wait till i get rest of system in place will sound great thanks crutchfield for all the help...

Cons: only thing i can say is i read some reviews the plastic monting feet seem to break off i had no problems yet but you got to be careful when mounting and can not hammer mechanic it.:) they seem durable to me and i screwed it right to the floor under rear seat and it was not a real flat surface just b careful i was easy on the mounting did not over torq but i can see why people might have problems . mine is very sturdy dont move or vibrate

After installing a Clarion 501 CD Reciever, a pair of Polk Db651s in the doors, and a pair of Polk Dxi460p plates in the pillars on my 2004 silverado, I was a little disappionted with the lack of depth and lack of volume of the music.I'm not one to write reviews but after installing the Alpine MRP-F300 to the system - WOW! - What a difference! The sound is much warmer and depth & detail is much improved along with more volume than I will ever need.If you are considering upgrading your system with a new mid-power amp, (50watts rms x4)I highly recommend this one.I plan on adding a sub later and this amp has a pair of line outputs to daisy chain another amp.

Pros: Alpine quality build, solid sound

Alpine MRP-F300 - Watch out for stuck switches!

Written By FRECHA, Dallas, Texas on Monday, February 11, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Sound output from this amp is good. it was easy to install but was disappointed that the covers were made of plastic instead of metal like the rest of the unit. Directions were easy to use. Only gripe I have with this unit is that I found the HARD way that the switches that control the channels for the front and back can sometimes get stuck. I tested the unit and was puzzled why sound was coming out only on one side of the vehicle. I thought the problem was wire based so i proceeded to troubleshoot the wiring and after an hour of going through the wiring and rechecking connections it ended up being a stuck switch setting that controlled the front 2 channels. The settings were set properly from the beginning but for some reason when the switch was set it didnt go all the way. This was after i had to call tech support for assistance. The person that assisted me told me that sometimes this happens to this unit and to always play with the switches to make sure they set to the right setting. Wish i knew that ahead of time....

Pros: Great sound - no interference detected. Nothing but clean crispy producing sound. Supports various setups.

Cons: Switches used to dial in settings are not dependable. Size of unit is also large and plastic housng cover was cheap looking.

Sounds great!

Just installed this amp in my 2007 Tundra along with 4 Polk speakers. I usually don't take the time to post reviews on products but i like this amp so much I had to voice my opinion. This amp rocks! It may be only putting out 50W per channel but i can't even crank it half-way without my ears bleeding. Crisp clear sound even at high volume levels. I also installed a new Pioneer AVH 3500 which contributes to the high quality sound. Can't say enough about how pleased I am with this amp.

This amp made a world of a difference in sound, but the mounting feet are made of thin plastic and two of them broke off when screwing them down using very little pressure, but I was able to gorilla glue them back on stronger than ever.

Pros: Very nice sound quality, I think you can mount the f500 mono amp on top of this one to save space.

Cons: Frequency dials seem to be a little off, cheap plastic mounting feet, difficult to connect power and ground if you're using anything lower than 8 gauge.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased my 2012 Mazda5 Grand Touring last September and first thing I noticed was that the stock speakers sounded horrible. Thinking it was lacking bass, I installed a Kicker CVT 10" sub with JL JX250/1 mono amp. I had difficult time trying to find the right setting for the amp. Then realized that the car was too noisy on the highway so started to Dynamat the car. I then purchased the Focal Access speakers (component up front and 2 way in the rear); during which I discovered that the tweeters were basically bridged to the existing door speakers. I the replaced the factory speaker wires with Monster XP. Though it sounds okay after that with bass sounding much better but was now overpowering the mids as power was lacking. I then started looking and found the Alpine MRP-F300 both economical and attractive. On top of that, it had rave reviews on Crutchfield.com. So I went ahead and ordered the "Open Box" unit (which I trust Crutchfield wholeheartedly) which was delivered two days ago. This morning, I started the installation of the amp -- which I sort of knew that it would a lot of work -- and it was. Hardest part was trying to get to the wiring harness on back of the radio. But I endured and after about 6 hours later, I finished the install. I fiddled around with the settings on the amp played Vivaldi's Four Season by Janine Jensen. I was literally blown away, it was so clear, so punchy, and bass was there but no longer overpowering. I'd have to say, money well spend!

Pros: Clean, punchy, compact, quality assembly throughout.

Cons: None

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Right after I purchased this amp I started thinking maybe I should of spent more, maybe 50 watts per channel would not be enough power to push my 2 Polk Audio MM5x7 and 2 Infinity Kappa 6x9's effectively. After installing this amp with the JVC Arsenal deck my worries were put to rest. This amp provides a lot of clean power. Enough to wreck your ear drums with Zero distortion. To the folks that say this amp doesn't provide enough power or bass to your 6x9's, get a good quality wire kit, make sure you have a good ground connection and turn off the bass boost unless you are running subs, it will make your bass sound horrible. This is a great amp.

Pros: Great power and sound quality.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I'm giving this a 3 star review because I feel it does it's job fairly well. I used to really be into car stereo equipment. I spend a lot of time in the car, so decided it was time to update my system. I had an Alpine head unit, and added an old school RF Punch 75HD for the front, and another for the rear speakers. Bass was awesome with my 6x9s! For some reason, I decided to swap out the old school amps in favor of a single 4 channel, then hook up one of the RFs to my old school Kicker Competition 12s. I figured a NEWer 4 channel amp would be better than my 20 year old RFs. Boy was I wrong! I lost practically all of my bass(6x9s). (I do not have the Kickers hooked up because I didn't want to lose the trunk space.) The volume is no where near what I was getting out of the RFs, but I figured that would be the case since the RFs really pumped the power out. This thing still was louder than the stock Alpine unit, but again, no where near the RFs Bass output. I tried the different options for bass boost, but still nothing. The low end just falls off. I have since sold the RFs(my bad), and am considering buying a new one to replace this amp. I have read reviews on other amps, and just as others say, you get what you pay for. Bottom-of-the-line sucks, no matter what brand.

Pros: 4-channel amp that does it's job.

Cons: lacking bass response
