Concentrated power for a full system
Alpine managed to pack more power per square inch into their PDR-V75 5-channel Power Density Reference amplifier than almost any other amp in its class. The PDR-V75 can put out 75 watts RMS per channel to your four full-range speakers, plus up to 350 watts RMS to a subwoofer, and it'll fit into many of the tight spaces you find in many cars and trucks these days. You can also use this versatile amp in 3-channel mode, driving a pair of high-performance speakers with 200 watts each, while still sending 350 watts RMS to a sub.
Tone control
Alpine included the tone controls you'll need to tune your system so your speakers and sub sound their best. You can use the high-pass filters to remove the extreme low bass from your full-range speakers, so they'll play more efficiently. You can adjust the subwoofer channel's low-pass filter, subsonic filter, and bass boost to get just the right bass tone, and you can add the optional RUX-KNOB.2 remote bass knob to control your bass from the dash.

All the electrical connections are located on one side, for more convenient and neat installations. Speaker-level inputs allow you to use this amp in almost any system, even one with a factory radio. Features
Channel Design: The Alpine PDR-V75 can be configured as a 5-channel amplifier for powering two pairs of speakers and a subwoofer. It can also be configured as a 4-channel or 3-channel amplifier. The amplifier is stable to 2-ohms in stereo, 4-ohms when bridged.
CEA-2006 Compliant: CEA-2006 is a system of testing and measurement for mobile audio amplifiers. This voluntary standard advocates a uniform method for measuring an amplifier's RMS power output and signal-to-noise ratio. The criteria for measuring power uses a DC input voltage of 14.4 volts and the RMS power output is measured into a 4Ω load, with 1% or less Total Harmonic Distortion plus noise (THD+N), and over a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz (for full range amplifiers). Signal-to-Noise ratio is measured in weighted absolute decibels (dBA) at a reference of 1 watt into 4Ω. CEA-2006 standards allow consumers to compare car amplifiers and receivers under the same conditions (apples to apples). Using CEA-2006 criteria, the Alpine PDR-V75 is rated at 75 watts RMS x 4 channels and 250 watts RMS x 1 channel with an 87 dBA signal to noise ratio. The signal to noise ratio at the rated power output (not CEA-2006 conditions) is 105 dB for the full range channels and 110 dB for the subwoofer channel.
LED: The top mounted LED Power indicator glows blue when the amplifier is turned on and changes to red when the protection circuit is engaged.
Speaker Level Inputs: The RCA inputs will accept either speaker-level or line level signals from your car's head unit. A speaker level signal is connected to the RCA inputs using a speaker wire to RCA adapter (sold separately).
Auto Turn-on: When using a speaker level input, the amp will turn on automatically when it senses the input signal.
Verification Certificate: The amplifier comes with a certificate that lists the RMS power output of the specific amplifier. It also lists the model number, serial number, test date, and the test conditions (14.4 volts, 2 ohms).
Controls
Hidden Controls: The amplifier's controls are hidden under a cover plate. The plate is removed by unscrewing two machine screws with the supplied 2mm Allen wrench.
Independent Controls: There are independent controls and crossovers for Channels 1&2, Channels 3&4, and the Subwoofer channel:
- Gain Controls: The rotary gain controls, for matching the amp's input sensitivity to the connected head unit, are continuously variable from 0.2 to 4.0 volts for the full range channels, and 0.1 to 4.0 volts for the Subwoofer channel. You'll need a small screwdriver (not included) for setting the gain.
- Crossover: The full range channels (1&2 and 3&4) each have a -12 db/octave high-pass filter that can be turned on or off. The cutoff frequency can be set between 50Hz and 400Hz. The Subwoofer channel has a -24 dB/octave low-pass filter that cannot be turned off. The cutoff frequency can be set between 50Hz and 400Hz. The Sub channel's -24 dB/octave Subsonic filter can be set between 8Hz and 40Hz. It cuts ultra-low frequencies from the input signal before being amplified to protect the speakers and to minimize wasted power.
- Input Channel: The two-position input switches configure the inputs. For the full-range channels, you can set the inputs to "1/2" (signal from inputs 1 and 2 are sent to channels 3 and 4--no Y-adapter necessary) or "3/4" (Channels 1&2 and 3&4 are independent--a 4-channel source is required). For the Subwoofer channel, you can set the inputs to "1+2+3+4" (signals from the full-range channels are mixed and sent to the SubW channel) or "SubW" (Left/Right signals from the SubW input are present).
- Bass EQ: The Bass EQ circuit provides a variable 0 dB to +12 dB signal boost, centered at 50 Hz to the Subwoofer channel.
Remote Bass Control: Alpine's RUX-KNOB wired remote control (sold separately) plugs into the RJ-25 Remote Bass Control terminal, giving you attenuation control of the sub(s) from anywhere in the car (0 to -20 dB).
Connections
Terminal Layout: For wiring convenience, all of the inputs and outputs on the amplifier are on one side.
Power Input: Two set-screw terminals are provided for connecting the power and ground cables. The terminals accept up to 4-gauge wire (a 4-gauge wiring kit is recommended). The set screws are tightened/loosened with the included 3mm Allen wrench.
Remote Turn-on: The remote turn-on set screw terminal will accept up to 12-gauge wire. The set screw is tightened/loosened with the included 2mm Allen wrench.
Speaker Outputs: The five pairs of speaker outputs set-screw terminals will accept up to 12-gauge wire. The set screws are tightened/loosened with the included 2mm Allen wrench.
Signal Input: The Alpine PDR-V75 is equipped with three pairs of female RCA jack inputs: Channel 1(L)/2(R), Channel 3(L)/4(R), and SubW(L)/SubW(R). The RCA inputs will accept either speaker-level or line level signals from your car's head unit. A speaker level signal is connected to the RCA inputs using a speaker wire to RCA adapter (sold separately).
Remote Bass Control: An RJ-25 jack is provided for the optional RUX-KNOB wired remote control.
Fuses: The amp is protected with two 40-amp ATO fuses.

This amp is awesome. I have it powering 2 JL C2 components in the front doors, 2 JL C2 coaxials in the back doors, and two JL 12w1 subs. It is loud, clean, and distortion free, and like others are saying, it puts out more power than it's rated at, and it doesn't even get hot in my trunk.
