You need a good pair of speakers on a boat to cut through the noise of the wind, waves, and motor. Utilizing a tested design, Alpine's SPR-M700 7" marine speakers add vibrancy and detail to all your music.

Alpine equips its speakers for high power handling, so they'll play your music loud and clear. The stiff 7" polymica woofers won't falter as they broadcast powerful, accurate bass, and the titanium dome tweeters supply plenty of high-frequency detail. You can swivel the tweeters to direct the high frequencies toward your listening area. The built-in crossovers deliver the appropriate frequencies to the tweeters and woofers for optimal performance.

Alpine knows what makes great marine speakers, so they constructed the SPR-M700 speakers to withstand the grueling environmental conditions of life on the water. The speakers sport silver UV-resistant grilles and high-temperature custom frames to withstand direct exposure to the sun, while Santoprene rubber surrounds resist damage from moisture, heat, and motor oil. Your speakers won't turn yellow or lose any musical zip.

I used these speakers in two different music cooler builds. They are very well built and produce a surprising amount of bass for their size. Being Marine grade speakers, they are built to withstand the elements and the grill protects the speaker cone as well as they look good too. Mainly though, the sound they produce is really good, but you need to have a good amp to drive them.

Pros: small, compact size, well built, quality sounding speakers

Cons: none

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I built a little bench in between my back seats of the boat to fit these. I turned on the deck and immediately impressed! The highs are nice and clear and the bass is really impressive for a 7" speaker. My wife can hear me coming to our camping spot a from ways away. So far I just have 2 of these powered by a JBL 20 wart RMS deck. Planning on an amp and 2 more next year to be making waves in the lake from these impressive speakers.

Pros: Small size with big sound

Cons: None so far

I bought a pair of these a year ago for my boat. These speakers made me th DJ of party cove lol. My system will over sound anyone else's on the water. Cannot believe the sound and how loud they can get.

Pros: Sound quality at high volume Ability to hear at a distance clear ( off the boat and in the water many boats away) Cost

Cons: Haven't found any yet!

These speakers are incredible. People think we have a subwoofer in our boat because the bass is so powerful. They blow away our 8" pioneers in the highs and lows. I am running these speakers and JL marine tweeters with a CDE-9845 receiver and no amp. A+++++

Features

Woofers: Each speaker has a 7" poly-mica woofer cone and Santoprene rubber surround to handle the marine environment.

Tweeters: Each speaker uses a 1" titanium dome tweeter. The tweeter swivels so you can direct the high frequencies toward the listeners, optimizing the image. A built-in circuit helps protect the tweeter from being overdriven.

Grille/Basket: Centrex 813-coated grilles and high-strength, non-resonant, high-temperature ABS frames provide durability in fresh or salt water, and UV protection against yellowing. The grilles are not removable. A removable trim ring covers the mounting screws.

Customer Q&A

Crutchfield asked
Why did you buy this?

2 Stock speakers were shot on our boat. Used these as replacements, sound way better, unfortunately the holes in the fiberglass were too large in the front, so we used them in the back. [ MICHAEL  Apr 03, 2016 ]
