Well, I spent a total of 20 minutes putting in both speakers. The sound quality is phenomenal. No, they don't sound like 10" subs, but I am not disappointed in them. For such a small speaker, they are very nice. I am pleasantly impressed. I would buy them for the rear deck, but the tweeters stick up too high, and would hit the cover. Not worth the modifications, although very feasible to be done.

Good low, and amazing mids and highs.

You could possibly add a sub, but personally I don't think I'll even need it. Maybe if you listen to a lot of hip-hop.

My Pioneer DEH-4900IB powers it perfectly and produces enough power so I do not need an amp.

These speakers were used in my first ever stereo installation project. The
speakers are awsome. They just blow away the factory speakers. They
sounded so good, I decided to also replace the HU with a Pioneer DEH-
P7000BT so that I could play MP3 files and HD radio. The new HU really
made a great improvement in the sound of these speakers. I only had a
couple of installation questions that the service folks at Crutchfield were
able to immediately answer. Installation went well for a first-timer.
Instructions were complete and clear. The success of this project has led
me to decide to replace the speakers and probably the HU in my wife's
Civic. If you have never done an install before, don't shy away from the
task. You can do it easily with the supplied instructions and kits provided
by Crutchfield.

I installed these speakers in my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd., Front and Rear with the baffles and left the factory Stereo intact. These speakers produce excellent sound and rock solid performance.

When I be rollin hard down Whittier Blvd. trolling, bumpin George Clinton with these fine Alpizzines, everybody be gawkin.
The speakers are a huge improvement to the stock stereo. The highs are crisp and clear. And to my suprise the bass has an excellent amount of bump for such a small full range speaker. It's a huge improvement for a small price. Listening to music, clean, clear and undistorted, is much more enjoyable now.
Installation was easy. They fit into the factory locations like a glove. Also with the adaptors provided by Crutchfield installation time was short.
If you want your whip to sound like it's the bomb, get these Alpizzine SPS-17C2s! G-G-G-G Unit!

Got 2 serts of these for my 07 PT. Pair'd up with two type e subs, this system is truly the best ive had so far. I can turn the bass as loud as my stereo will go with the volume all the way up and get No distorted sounds, no crackling, nothing! Just pure 100% clear mewzich! Its great.

I highly recomend these speakers for anyone within the budget.

Wow, I am glad I waited to submit a review for these until I got my amp installed...

Okay, so I've had these for about a month. Immediately, with only the head unit, these were an enormous improvement over my Sony X-plods that I removed. I backed them with Dynamat to get the most out of them. But at the same time, I purchaged a Rockford Fosgate P400-4 amp that matched the rms. After one month of running on the head unit (which is only about 16 or 18 watts rms) I just had the amp installed today. WOW!!! They are now runnig at their full 50 watts rms. My ears hurt!!! These are the best speakers I have found in this price range. And believe me, I shopped around A LOT. I played all kinds of music from them today on my 1 and 1/2 hour drive home from the amp install; Breaking Benjamin, Tricky, Tool, Sublime, Filter, even Buddy Guy. These hold up well with heavy rock when they are being flooded with lows, mids and highs at the same time. And for the first time I could listen to Tricky loud and still hear it clearly. I am totally amazed...
