I purchased these and installed them in my 2004 Mustang. They pop at high volume. I have factory amps and a pioneer DEH-2100IB. Going to contact Crutchfeild tomorrow about this issue.

Installed these at the recomendation of Crutchfield staff....what a big surprise. My 2007 ford focus ses never sounded clearer...considering an amp to push these things...they want more...would not hesitate buying again.

these are just basic 2way speakers i am using them as the rear fill with alpine type r components in front . these speakers are great if you are shoping in the price range can you get better yes, but at a price, in my case these are not the main speakers so they will do just fine sitting in the back seat they sound very good for 100 dollars especially just being powered off the head unit not everybody will agree on one speaker as the best EVER it is personal preferance ive had alpine befor even the 5x7 that was 3 years ago and this new model is 100% improved highs are not scratchy or overpowering great drop in install

They speak

I am using these in a 1995 ford excort hatchback with the kenwood KDC-
MP438U and they are acceptable. I am not going to say they impressed
me in the least. I am not sure if it is the size fo the speakers that make
them so weak or what, but my unknown front speakers really just blow
them away. Overall, they were an improvement over my factory's but if i
hadn't got them on clearance I would expect more out of them.
