About the Alpine SV-H300U
Your head is the subwoofer
Your head is the subwoofer
Transducers are built into the headband of the Alpine SV-H300U headphones for extra bass (shown in Onyx black).
If you like bass (and who doesn't?), wait until you hear this — the Alpine SV-H300U headphones have transducers built into the headband. That's right, hit the powered bass mode button and you don't just hear the low end from your hip-hop, rock, or EDM mixes, you FEEL it. If reading that makes you want to grab some headache powder, you shouldn't. I wasn't sure I could handle it either, until I tried them out. Alpine made sure the experience is powerful and satisfying — not overbearing.
One thing that helps is that these futuristic-looking 'phones fit comfortably. The diamond-shaped ear pads are oversized and well-cushioned, and that "powered" headband feels extra soft. I bumped A Tribe Called Quest's classic album The Low End Theory (of course!), and bass sounded full and deep throughout. Vibrant percussion and horns from the track "Butter" had my head nodding into the laid-back rhythm of "Verses from the Abstract." The headband's transducers reinforced the bottom end, massaging my skull with each thump.
Control calls and music with your iPhone®
Usually listen to music from your iPhone? Alpine gives you control of your phone with the remote and microphone built into the detachable cable. You'll have the ability to answer phone calls — even when your phone's in your pocket. Plus the cable is extra-durable and lined with cloth, so it can withstand listening on the go.
With any compatible Apple device, like an iPad® or iPod®, you can control music playback, skip songs, and bump the volume up or down with the in-line remote.
Alpine's app spruces up your iPhone's playlists
Your mood and the time of day often dictate what type of music you want to hear. Maybe an up-tempo mix helps kick-start your morning, while the lazy afternoon calls for a more chill playlist. Download Alpine's Level Play app for Apple devices, and you can sort your music based on the energy level of the songs. The Level Play app will create playlists based on beats-per-minute — fast or slow — and lets you share those playlists with friends.

Features
Overview: The Alpine SV-H300U headphones feature an over-ear design to reduce ambient noise, so you hear more of your music. With Alpine's patented TKR3 Full Frequency Immersion technology, you can actually feel the sound as well as hear it, much like you do in a live music performance. The SV-H300Us come with an audio cable, a USB charging cable, and a soft cloth carry bag.
Tuned Kinetic Resonance 3: Typical headphone drivers are not large enough to move enough air to create immersive bass. Alpine's TKR3 technology enhances your music by adding acoustic low frequencies to blend with the headphones' tuned 40mm drivers. By utilizing the headband structure and the built-in amplifier, additional low frequency vibrations simulate the experience of listening to live music. The TKR3 feature is powered by a built-in Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery, which provides approximately 10 hours of use on a single charge. A 59" Micro USB charging cable is included. The TKR3 effect can be turned on or off as desired. Its Auto Off feature turns the power off automatically after 45 seconds of no audio.
In-line Remote: The SV-H300U headphones come with a 44" audio cable with an Apple-compatible in-line remote and microphone. The 3-button remote can control volume, play/pause, next/previous track, and fast forward/rewind. It also lets you answer or end phone calls. The remote/mic is Made for iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPod with video, and iPod nano (6th/7th gen).
Folding Design: The earcups rotate 90° so you can store them flat in the supplied cloth storage pouch.
Level Play App: The Alpine Level Play app is a downloadable music player for iPhones. Level Play can organize the music in your device by artist, album, or playlist. The Level Play feature creates a dynamic playlist designed on the energy level of songs in your library. You can rate the likability of each song and update the order of your playlist. The Card Flow screen allows you to tag your songs to share your songs with your friends and set Favorites. You can even tag in a specific spot in the song, and begin playback from that location. The Level Play app is downloadable from iTunes, and is compatible with iOS 7.0 or later.
Sound Tuning App: The Alpine Sound Tuning app is exclusively for use with the SV-H300U headphones. The app lets you customize the sound of the headphones using a 5-band graphic equalizer. Once you have adjusted the sound to your liking, the settings are transmitted to your device via Bluetooth Low Energy. Sound Tuning is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, and requires iOS 7.0 or later.

Amazing sound and head rattling base. I will admit some songs you need to turn the extra base off but 90% of what I listen to it is truly amazing. I have listened to all kinds of headphones. From Beats to B&W, these Alpines Rock! Glad I made the purchase. I would recommend to anyone.
