Alpine's BassLine subwoofers will add some serious rumble to your vehicle's sound system. You'll really feel the impact of bass lines and drum beats, so you can get into your music like you never have before. These subs also live up to Alpine's reputation for making subs that bass lovers want, but they don't cost so much that you end up actually living in your car.
The tough steel frame helps to keep your bass punchy and accurate.
Alpine's BassLine SWA-10S4 10” sub comes equipped with a rigid polypropylene/mica cone that won't flex under high volumes and cause distortion, while its poly-foam surround will last for years to come. The tough steel frame offers the stability you need to keep the bottom tight during intense bass sessions. This sub handles up to 250 watts RMS and its 4-ohm impedance makes it a great match for most amplifiers.
Need an amp for this sub? Check out this Crutchfield-approved bass package.
To drive this single subwoofer, we recommend a mono amplifier rated between 200 and 375 watts RMS at 4 ohms. For more information, please refer to our article on How to Match Subwoofers and Amplifiers.
Note: Sorry, Crutchfield cannot ship Alpine products to Guam or Puerto Rico.
A component sub is simply a speaker that's designed to reproduce bass once it's installed in a compatible enclosure. Think about the impact of a movie soundtrack in a big theater or even in your own home HDTV setup. A component sub can add the same kind of power to the music in your car. And a car sub is not all about the boom that you hear on a street corner (although that's cool too) - you can pair a component sub with your choice of enclosure to get bass just the way you like it, from tight and punchy to fat and loose. And once you experience music in your car with a well-tuned subwoofer, you'll never go back.
went from a 8 inch sub to this 10 inch sub,wow ,what a difference
Pros: inexpensive,quality built,quality sound
Good sub I replaced my 2 Sony xplods with two of these and they were almost the same thing the only difference was the Alpines looked better but they make a good starter sub
Pros: Nice sub
Cons: Could be louder
Great sub for what I am using it for which is little bass
They Sound darn good! Good sub! I have two of them in my ex-cab s-10! Have them hooked to a mono Orion24001! Great speaker and price thanks Alpine & Crutchfield! Get them!
Pros: Good bass! all around Great buy!
Really Clean Bass for my 4 Door Ek Sedan Only One 10 Inch with a not too powerful amp 300 watts still hits Clean on stock speakers
Pros: Really nice design on it
Cons: None yet
Great sub. Great sound quality and price. Very impressed with how low sub hits for a 10 inch. Hits hard at 80 .
Pros: Solid built. Eye appealing.
Cons: Deep mounting depth. Hard to fit in shallow area's like behind truck seat. Had to sacrifice some leg room.
I have 2 of these in a reg cab silverado behind the seat. Yes the box goes all the way across and is ported on one side. Am pushing them with the alpine mrv-m500. Amp is at a 2 ohm load so 500x1 is what's going to them. These things are very very loud and sound amazing. I listen to old school rap mostly from the 90's. So it's hard hitting bass notes for sure. I mean you can hear me coming from blocks away. Had the local stereo shop put their db meter on it and hit a sold 124.5 dbs. Not too bad for 2 10's in a reg cab behind the seat. So in other words I am very very impresses. Dont Be Scared To Buy These!
Pros: These are awesome and sound amazing.
These speakers are the best 10" subs i've ever had. My 89 chevy truck has the perfect sound system now. Nice, clean sounding bass.
Pros: Great sound, excellent quality, very reasonable price.
As far as subs are concerned, I have to admit that I'm far from being an expert! That is why I went to Crutchfield. I was attracted by the price special that was being offered at the time of purchase. I am glad that I decided to buy the Alpine's. They sound Great! I wanted solid but not overwhelming bass and that is what I have. I am happy! By the way, they were a suggestion from a rep at Crutchfield. Thanks fellas!
Pros: Solid sound, clean look, and confidence with the Alpine name for long lasting usage.
Cons: Honestly, just a tad bit concerned about the possible life of the speakers, but I am 44 years old, so I will not be pushing them hard at all.
Wasn't sure bout 10's but these speakers r really gd....probably buy 2 more for my other truck
Very good sub for the money. Have a pair of cerwin vega in another car that were about the same price, and the have more "punch". Can't really tell any difference on the deep bass though.
Pros: Very good value
I'm very pleased with these subs. I put them in a single box under the back seat of my 04' Silverado with a 900w amp, they pack plenty of punch for this truck. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
Sounds super clean, blew my old sub and bought this one. I have a 500w amp puts out about 250 and this is rated for 750w but its loud and really clear. Definitely recommended awesome deal
Pros: Deep sub Clear clean bass Great quality
Great sub for the price. Installed them and they sound great. No complaints.
Great sound quality and doesn't take up to much space.
Good sounding subwoofer for the price, get 2 and your whole vehicle will rattle. I have yet to crank these up past halfway and they are absolutely insane. Love them.
Pros: Sound quality, performance.
Cons: Speaker terminals are a little small.
They do what they suppose to do with out breaking the bank. Hooked up with Alpine MRX M55 amp gives it a more kick to it.
Pros: Price and Performance
Cons: Should have of got them sooner. Lol
This is a great 10 inch Sub especially for the price it hits hard and sounds way better than what you pay for. Granted it's no JL audio or Alpine Type R but gets the job done kind off reminds me of the old Kicker comps from the late 80s early nineties. They don't need a ton of power and hit hard. I haven't pushed them to hard but only have alpine mrp f300 bridged pushing 150 watts to each speaker but enough bass for me in my ex cab chevy s-10 pioneer cde 8600 HU kenwood p709ps components polk dxi461 4x6 in dash running off alpine mrx f35.
Pros: 2 Alpine 10 subs buy one the other half price and free shipping. Two good 10 inch subs under $100 made by a quality trusted brand. No Brainer.
It's works really great I love it thanks again
Pros: Very powerful with the right amplifier
Cons: None for right now
They bang I bought two of them have them in a f150 mad bass people can hear it a couple blocks away
Pros: Bass almost sound like 12s
Cons: They can go hard but just need to fix your equilizers and they will sound perfect
Love the sound quality
Pros: Compact with big sound
Not a 5 star sub woofer. However, for the price it's the best one to get! Installed on my 03 Mini Cooper. More than enough for the size of the car.
Hooked up with the Kenwood Excelon X500-1Mono subwoofer amplifier, which puts out 300 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms. So I'm definitely pushing the limits of the sub woofer, and it's handling it really good. Sound quality is good even at higher volumes.
Pros: - Excellent buy for the price. - Great sound quality. - Easily fits in smaller cars
I do not have one complaint with this sub. Great low rumble bass and good punchy bass
great bang for the bucks
Pros: see above
i chose these 10's over my usual brand cause my brands was out of stock an these alpines were at a nice price and reviews were great too.got them 2 days after orders date installed them and they hit just as hard and sound like any high priced Sub on the market....2 thumbs up!!!!
Pros: Price, build quality everything on them are high quality. hard hitting bass-lines
Cons: only made in 10" an 12" wish they made 15" an only in 4ohm svc
I've had this for about 2 weeks now and it seems to be a decent sub. I have 2 running at 250 watts each in a sealed SO box. Good quality sound and decent thump, but if you're looking for something to make your heart skip a few beats, this isn't for you. The swa's provide nice, clean lows but I think it may be better in a vented enclosure.
Pros: Clean, classic looks Quality sound
You get what you pay for. Sounds great for an inexpensive sub. Bought some Alpine 6 1/2s and got the buy one get one half off deal. Sounds good but also I have a Kenwood 10 that is similar in price and sounds better.
Pros: Fantastic Price, booms at low frequencies.
Cons: Muddy at higher frequencies. A great sub for dance and hip hop but not so good for rock.
these subwoofer's are great. i just got them hooked up a couple days ago, got them tuned today and they sound amazing. i bought to alpine type R 12"s when i has my suburban and fell in love with them. now i have s chevy sonic and couldnt have that much bass, so i built a new system and decided to try Alpine again. GREAT CHOICE! i would recommend these to anyone who likes a good amount of bass in a small space and sound good while doing so.
Pros: sound quality, performance (I'm running 500 watts RMS a piece, and they handle it like a champ)!, they look perfect in my car, and fit perfect in my car.
Cons: i don't have any cons. you get a great subwoofer for a great price.
These speakers put out a lot of punch for the price. I installed these speakers in my 2002 gmc Sierra ext. cab. I am very pleased with them I'm running a 600 x1 alpine mono amp and a cde-133bt alpine head unit.
Pros: Great price and sounds awesome
BASE LINE AWESOME
Sounds good for a 10" subwoofer, but the design should have been more durable. Sturdy cone covers should have been included with longer, double coated screws. Having to buy a separate Alpine subwoofer control for the dash area and the cone cover makes this not the greatest deal. I would suggest offering quality made universal subwoofer control knobs at discounted prices or include them as a package deal when buying a subwoofer.
Pros: Good Alpine quality sound !! Competitive price, albeit no cone cover or control knob
Cons: No cone cover included, non double coated shorter screws, no subwoofer control included, like my Infinity Bass Link.
Great sub tons of low end reminds me of the old audiobahn subs
I just purchased these subs...WOOOW!! They are worth the purchase, very clean bass that rattles everything in your ride. I'm pushing them with the Alpine MRV-M500 & they act like they want more power!! Cheap in price but high in quality, I recommend these to anyone that want some serious bass that doesn't take up a lot of space...."LET THE ALPINES BUMP!!!!!!!!" I think I need to check to see if I've got some bolts that need tightened on my 06 GMC Sierra Ext Cab.......LOL!!!!!!!
This product is cheap and worth it.
Pros: Easy to use.
Great sound quality and doesn't take up to much space. Helps give the Denali the surround sound it needed.
Pros: Deep bass in a small package that's easy to hook up
I was pretty skeptical of these subs at first. I didn't find anything on YouTube or anywhere else about these and they were also cheap and fairly low powered at 250 rms. I slapped two of these in a sealed enclosure in the back of my Jeep and was I surprised when they first hit. I've had them for about three months and I haven't been gentle with them. These things shake the entire Jeep. The roof flexes, the rear windows flex, and mirrors are completely useless when these things are thumping. All in all, these are an amazing deal.
Pros: Hit hard Cheap Don't require a massive and expensive amp Look cool Work with relatively small enclosures
Bought two of these, I am impressed. They fill my grand marquis with sound quite well paired with the MRV-M500 amp at 2 ohms.
Pros: Plenty of bang for the buck
Cons: No screens in magnet opening to keep debris or bugs out.
I purchased 2 of these subs for my gmc crew cab i was blown away by the sound and quality of these. I have them on a mrp-m500 amp and i think they want more power!
Sounds good hits hard
Pros: Buy one get one half off. Will use alpine again
Cons: Non so far
Ordered 2 of these and have them in a sealed box powered by a alpine mrp-m1000 amp running @ 2 ohms and these subs rock. Sounds clean and looks great. For the money you can't go wrong. I ordered 2 more for my other car after hearing them.
Pros: Affordable speakers that sounds good. Trusted brand
Just put a set of two of these in my truck and they hit pretty hard. I have them wired in parallel to a alpine mrp-500 at 2 ohms so each sub has 250 watts. They sound great! I reccommend them!
GREAT entry level sub... hits hard without distorsion using inside a Bassworx ported box- that is about .1 foot shy of minimum factory recommendations but still sounded great during first song tuning of The Eagles- "Hotel California". Great Buy!
Pros: Great Entry Level Sub.
Cons: 1) A mounting template from Alpine would have been nice to ease the installation. 2) WHY does an Alpine grill cost almost as much as the Sub?!?!
I seen they were fairly cheep I got 2 of them because my old ones was broke around the foam piece, put them in my car and they sound amazing with a kenwood thousand wat amp
I've had these for about a week and I'm completely impressed. I'm running them with a Alpine MRP-M1000 with the gain at about 3/4 and these subs handle it just fine. 2 10 inch subs in a custom Silverado box under back seat .80 cu ft per side non-ported. These things pound!
Pros: Cost effective, quality built, great for smaller enclosures as well as larger ported ones.
Cons: none so far
Just installed 2 of these 10" Bassline subs in my 2001 Ford Escape along with pioneer speakers, 1100W Sony Amp and a Pioneer head unit. This setup sounds amazing. These subs have the power I needed for my car, they shake my whole car when I play electro and the bass is very clear, not distorted at all. I definitely think these are a good buy for anyone looking to add a ton of bass to their car without breaking the bank.
Excellent sub ...got it in a 1.cf sealed box in my 02' Silverado ext cab ...on a jl/250/1 mono sounds excellent still pushing air at 10hz ..suggest you look at the cone its laddered down..wasn't crazy bout the ripples i like the idea of a a nice round symetrical cone but i stuck some hard base too it.Then tortured it with base tests .I don't care what shape it is anymore its bad a** ...buy this sub better get some extra dynamat this sub will take the door panels off and spit on your 6-and-halves
Pros: Good price ...hit hard and and low .but not on your wallet ..this is not a value speaker..its purely engineering genius /good material
Cons: I only have room for one ...

Alpine's BassLine subwoofers will add some serious rumble to your vehicle's sound system, but they won't break your budget. These subs also live up to Alpine's reputation for making subs that bass...
It most certainly will. I have 2 alpine bass line subs in my 06 GMC Sierra with an alpine 500 watt sub amp. The feel & the clear bass from those subs are well worth the money. I highly recommend them if you're looking for some good clean solid bass. I wish I had got the 12's now but those 10's pack one heck of a punch!!???????? [ DON Aug 21, 2015 ]
Yes, they are very durable and very accurate. [ RICKY Aug 18, 2015 ]

AFTER A FEW MONTHS MY ALPINE BLEW WITH A ALPINE MRV 500 AMP SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION NO [ keith Aug 17, 2015 ]
Yes it should handle it with ease. I have approx. 700 watts going to one of mine with no problem at all [ JUSTIN Aug 17, 2015 ]
I am using a sealed box. I only have one 10" and I'm using a 200 watt MTX amp. I have it installed in my GMC Denali. Nice clean sounds and not over bearing. [ PERRY Jan 17, 2015 ]
250 watt rms per sub. Go by that. I put a 250 watt amp to 2 of these n it works pretty good be better with a 500 watt n I have a sealed box. [ JOSHUA S Jan 15, 2015 ]
Sealed is definitely the appropriate enclosure for this sub. I run 2 in a custom built box in an F150 Supercrew using an Alpine MRV 500 bridged to 2 ohm and it produces plenty of bass for the cabin of my truck. [ RYAN M Jan 15, 2015 ]
My daughter has them in a sealed medium size generic box in the trunk of a newer Ford Focus. Powered by alpine mrp 500 mono amp. They beat pretty good [ LANE Jan 15, 2015 ]
You can go either sealed or ported, but make sure you follow the specs for both. I'm personally running 2 of these 10 inch in a sealed box under the back seat of my 07 Silverado LT and they sound great. I was quite impressed with them. I'm powering them with an Alpine MRP-M500 and it seems to do just fine. [ JOE Jan 15, 2015 ]
