Designed to replace the air box, filter, and inlet tract in compact sports cars, aluminum Typhoon intakes improve performance by increasing airflow to your engine. Three types are available:
- short-ram intakes (pulls air from inside the engine compartment);

- complete cold-air intake systems (can be changed from cold air to short ram use for the winter months).
This Typhoon short-ram intake is engineered to replace the factory air box of your 2001-02 Honda Civic with a 1.7 liter engine (manual or automatic transmission). The Filtercharger® (its washable, reusable filter element) allows for the virtually unrestricted flow of cooler air to your engine. This results in improved performance — performance you can feel every time you step on the accelerator. The fluid, dynamic design also smooths out and straightens airflow — air moving in a straight line is more easily assimilated by your engine than the turbulent air typically sent by factory systems.
