The Jensen Heavy Duty JHD1630B receiver will hold up in the tough conditions you encounter at job sites and on the road. It'll handle vibrations, temperature fluctuations, and extreme humidity with ease, while its front panel features a protective covering that keeps out the dust and grime you encounter when taking on dirty jobs. And if you're a trucker who takes your stereo out of the rig when you're off the job, the receiver's built-in memory will keep all your presets and other settings for 30 days.
Anyone who drives a lot knows the pain of finding a great radio station, only to have it fade away. You can add a SiriusXM satellite radio tuner to the JHD13630B, and gain access to coast-to-coast reception of some of the most entertaining radio around. Of course, the built-in AM/FM tuner lets you keep up with favorite local radio stations, and the Weather Band tuner has automatic NOAA weather alerts so you won't be caught by surprise by severe weather. The Radio Broadcast Data Service (RBDS) alerts you to traffic conditions in select areas.
Plug your your iPod® or iPhone® into the front-panel USB port, and you'll be able to access your playlists through the receiver's controls, as well as view song information on the display. If you want some other options, you can plug other audio devices into the front minijack or the rear RCA auxiliary inputs. For workplace communications, add an optional microphone and external speaker and let 'em hear you with the PA function.
This digital media receiver will not play CDs. If you want to play CDs in your vehicle, we offer a wide selection of CD receivers.
Two good reasons - sound quality and cool features. A new car stereo offers power that's superior to most factory radios, along with more sophisticated tone controls. And most car stereos offer built-in or optional features that add safety and fun to life in your car, including inputs for your iPod or MP3 player, Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free cell phone calls, satellite radio or HD Radio reception, and connections for building an audio system in your car.
There are a lot of other options out there. I think the price I paid is expensive but I'm hoping it proves to be worth it regarding heat and rattling. Tuning the radio is annoying because you can't hold the button down to change station you just have to keep pushing it. Wish it had a tune knob for that. I put it in my XJ and there is no clear easy way to attach the rear support bracket., so i used the metra 99-6000 to support it. I wish it had a removable face, because thieves still exist. The wiring diagram is a bit confusing but I figured it out. The din chassis or whatever is called isn't that tight. Basically I think car stereos really lack when it comes to tight tolerances I wish a company would just nail it.
Pros: nice style, weather band, good sound,
Cons: price, not great instructions,
I put this in my 98 Jeep Wrangler and I absolutely love it. The clarity is unbelievable compared to my factory stereo. Tons of presets for stations although I mainly use the usb port with my favorite music on a thumb drive. Be careful with the mounting screw on the back,I removed the nut to attach the ground strap and the bolt ended up falling inside the unit, I had to open up the unit to get it back in the hole, but that gave me the opportunity to see the coated board on the inside,I was impressed. This thing is truly heavy duty.
Pros: Sounds great,easy installation
Cons: None so far.
I put this in a John Deere 3720 with a cab. Plugged right in, and the cab came with speakers even though I ordered it without a radio. Fit in and sounds good even with factory speakers. I'll probably upgrade those speakers next. It plays my USB drive with my music. Also plays radio stations clearly. Pretty good radio for the environment it's in (lots of vibrations, bumps, etc.)
Pros: Easy to install, great sound, USB drive
Cons: Instructions not the clearest. More close up diagrams would have helped.
This product was far better then I expected , had a problem understanding how to wire it, called and was connected right away. The gentleman I spoke with went over it with me and had me knowing how to wire it in my sleep. The sound is awesome , installation was a snap as the parts were made to fit and they did. Great people, best service and a BIG thank you.
Pros: Every thing.
Cons: None on the equipment only the instructions. They should be larger and more details.
This stereo was a great upgrade to my 1991 Chevy k1500. The install note says modified fit but that isnt the case. Pull the three screws for the original stereo support/stop and it fits with no modifications besides the supplied dash filler panels. This stereo is perfect for a work truck, heavy duty, simple operation, weather band, usb and aux.
Pros: Heavy duty construction, weather band, front aux and usb.

Normal size. I used it to replace the existing radio in our Mccormick XTX 185 ag tractor. The old radio came out and this one fit right in. [ Michael Jul 14, 2015 ]
this is only the 3rd stereo I've ever replaced, so I can't say how the size is compared to other radios, but it fit with no issue when replacing the stock unit in my jeep wrangler. I don't recall there being any fit issues whatsoever. it's been a good unit and I haven't had any issues out of it. [ ROBERT DIRK Jul 13, 2015 ]
I didn't measure it before I put it in my tractor, but it seemed to fit a standard hole. [ Jay Jul 13, 2015 ]
ITS normal size. It fit perfectly where my last radio was [ John Jul 13, 2015 ]
