Overview: The DICE Electronics MediaBridge Multimedia
Vehicle Interface Kit (MB 1500-Toyota) is an entertainment and information connectivity device
which provides connectivity for Bluetooth hands-free & music streaming, USB
digital connection for iPod & iPhone, direct connection for USB Flash based
mass storage devices, and the aftermarket Sirius Satellite Radio tuner, as well
as other portable Sirius Satellite radios to select 2003-2011 Toyota/Scion/Lexus
vehicles. The DICE MediaBridge's audio circuitry is designed to meet or exceed the sound
quality of any premium audio system.
Vehicle Compatibility: The DICE Electronic MediaBridge Multimedia
Vehicle Interface Kit (MB 1500-Toyota) is compatible with select 2003-2001
Toyota, Scion, and Lexus vehicles.

Song & Artist Display: The MediaBridge will display the song, artist,
album, and playlist titles of your music on your vehicle's factory radio display
so you know who and what song you are listening to. This also makes navigating
through your songs a simple task, using only the controls on your radio.
Playback Control: With the MediaBridge all of the connectable devices
can be controlled from your factory radio or vehicle's steering wheel controls.
The DICE MediaBridge lets you use your vehicle's factory radio or steering wheel
controls to navigate through your music from your connected devices. The
MediaBridge will either emulate the factory radio's MP3, CD, or SAT controls
(whichever applicable and based on dip switch settings).
Music Announcer Technology (MAT): The MediaBridge offers Music Announcer Technology (MAT) which announces song
title and artist information over your vehicle's factory speakers, allowing for
a safer driving experience.
Digital USB Audio: The DICE MediaBridge features a USB type-A port and
comes with a 13' USB type-A extension cable to connect your portable flash-drive, MP3 player,
or portable USB card reader for playback of music files. The MediaBridge
supports playback of MP3, WMA, and AAC (M4A) music files formatted in
FAT16 or FAT32. The unit will support up to 8 levels per folder, 200 folders,
and 1000 files per folder. You can browse folders and songs using the factory
radio or steering wheel controls. Artist and song title information will be
shown on your factory radio's display. The MediaBridge provides digital USB audio with level matched
audio output to your vehicle's factory radio. This means that the MediaBridge
will provide the best sounding connection possible for your USB connected
portable devices.
Note: This unit does not support DRM encryption audio
files. The unit's USB connector is not compatible with USB hard drives, USB
hubs, computers or
digital cameras.
iPod/iPhone Compatible: The DICE Electronics MediaBridge is
"Made for iPod" and "Works with iPhone"
compliant allowing a full featured iPod/iPhone experience over a USB connection
in the vehicle. Your iPod or iPhone simply plugs into the MediaBridge's USB port
using the Apple Dock Connector-to-USB cable that came with your iPod or iPhone.
The MediaBridge offers audio playback, music navigation, information display,
and charging of your iPod or iPhone. The MediaBridge lets you browse your
iPod/iPhone's music by song, playlist (unlimited), album, or artist. The artist
and song title will be shown on your factory radio's display. You can also
choose to control your iPod/iPhone from its own clickwheel or touchscreen. The
MediaBridge supports the following iPod/iPhone functions (as of July 2011).

Note: Set the iPod/iPhone "Hold" feature to the On
position to fully control the iPod/iPhone from your factory radio (your
iPod/iPhone will be locked). Set the iPod/iPhone "Hold" feature to the
Off position to control your iPod/iPhone from its clickwheel or
touchscreen (factory radio controls will be limited). Changing the hold
switch on your iPod/iPhone to the On/Off position must be done prior to
connecting the dock cable to the MediaBridge. Apple iPod/iPhone software
updates may change functionality results. You may need to reset your
iPod/iPhone if you download a newer software version to regain
functionality.
Built-in Bluetooth: The
DICE MediaBridge supports Bluetooth hands-free communication and audio streaming
for your Bluetooth enabled cell-phone and MP3 player.
- Hands-Free Communication: The MediaBridge lets you use your vehicle's speakers and the included
external microphone (with visor-clip) for an integrated hands-free cell
phone experience. You can answer, terminate, or reject an incoming call from
your factory radio. To make an outgoing call, you must still dial from your
cell-phone like you would normally.
- Audio Streaming: The
MediaBridge lets you stream music from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone
or MP3 player to your vehicle's factory audio system. You can also control
music playback functions of your Bluetooth enabled device.
Note: Your Bluetooth
enabled device must first be paired with the MediaBridge prior to hands-free
operation. This unit may not work with all Bluetooth devices.
Sirius Satellite Radio Ready: The DICE Electronics MediaBridge
supports Sirius Satellite Radio through either the SiriusConnect Vehicle Tuner (607SCC1,
sold separately)
or SiriusConnect Vehicle Dock (607SCVDOC1,
sold separately).
- SiriusConnect Vehicle Tuner: By adding the SiriusConnect SC-C1
Vehicle Tuner you are able to listen to Sirius Satellite Radio through your
vehicle's factory system. The SiriusConnect Vehicle Tuner allows audio
playback, control, and information display from your factory radio.
- SiriusConnect Vehicle Kit: The SiriusConnect SCVDOC1 Vehicle
Docking Kit turns your Sirius Dock & Play or Portable radio into a dedicated
tuner, allowing your to listen to Sirius Satellite Radio from your vehicle's
factory audio system. The SiriusConnect Vehicle Kit allows your Sirius Dock
& Play or Sirius Portable radios with universal docking capability to be
connected to and controlled by your factory radio.
Note: A subscription is also required to receive
satellite radio programming from SIRIUS. SIRIUS Satellite Radio
features more than 120 streams of original programming beamed
coast-to-coast, including 65 streams of commercial-free, digital-quality
music, and news, talk, sports, entertainment, and children's programming.
Auxiliary Input: The MediaBridge features a minijack (3.5mm) port to
connect any portable music player which features an audio output or headphone
output.
Dip Switches: The DICE MediaBridge (MB 1500) features two dip switches
to configure the module for your compatible Toyota, Scion, or Lexus vehicle.
Vehicle Harness: The included vehicle harness connects to the small
connector on back of your Toyota, Scion, or Lexus factory radio. If a factory
harness is present, disconnect it from the factory radio and plug the
MediaBridge's vehicle harness in its place. Then plug your vehicle's factory
harness into the cable receptacle on the MediaBridge's vehicle harness.
Installation Note: DICE Electronics recommends that the module be
installed in an easily accessible place (not placed behind the factory radio).
This allows for easier connection and disconnection of your external audio
devices, as well as future firmware upgrades.
Firmware Updates: There is a mini-USB type-B port on one side of the
MediaBridge module to connect to your computer for firmware updates. Please
