Looking for a lot more from your factory stereo, but don't want to buy a whole new receiver? Or maybe it's not so easy to change the stereo in your newer car. Just install DICE Electronics' MediaBridge, and suddenly your boring factory stereo gives you iPod control, hands-free calling and music streaming, an auxiliary input, and a connection for a satellite radio tuner.
Browse your playlists with your factory radio
Just mount the compact hideaway box in a hidden location in your vehicle, and connect the included 40" harness to your factory stereo. You can plug your iPod or iPhone® into the USB input on the MediaBridge, then browse your music library by album, artist, or playlist right from the radio or with your steering wheel audio controls. The direct connection to your stereo gives you superior sound, and your iPod will stay charged while you drive. You can also plug in a USB thumb drive loaded with MP3, WMA, and AAC files.
Bluetooth functionality and more
Pair up your compatible phone, and you can make and receive hands-free calls. You'll hear your caller over your speakers, letting you keep your hands on the wheel when an important call comes in. Once you experience this feature, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it. Add an optional SIRIUS tuner, and you can tap into the wealth of entertainment satellite radio provides. Last of all, a mini-jack input lets your friends plug in their MP3 players or dock-and-play satellite radios.

Why would I need an iPod® adapter?
An iPod adapter allows you to connect your iPod to your car stereo, then access your playlists with your stereo's controls - a great idea for several reasons. One, you can scroll through your song titles on your stereo's larger display, instead of squinting down at your iPod. Two, you can route the adapter cable to your glove compartment or center console, so your iPod stays safely out of sight. Three, the iPod adapter keeps your iPod fully charged, so it's ready to rock when you leave your car. And last of all, some adapters bypass your iPod's internal digital-to-analog converter, using your stereo's superior DAC to turn your files back into music.
DICE MediaBridge for Toyota Reviews
Average Customer Review:
Great Product and excellent package
2007 Toyota Prius
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Crutchfield includes a free detailed mastersheet for my vehicle, and saves me hours of time for install this product. Mediabridge is very cool product, easy to use, lot of mode (USB, AUX, Bluetooth, SAT connection), and for anyone has a Bluetooth smartphone, use the BT mode and all you need: listen music, pickup incoming call, phone voice navigation (e.g. iphone ios6.0), and what the best part is all of those functions can be controlled by buttons on my driving-wheel. And also I can use "Scan" button to invoke Siri! that rocks!
Pros: easy to use, lots of functions, up-gradable firmware,BT hands-free and music,
Cons: There is no Stop (pause) button to pause a playing music, I have to stop it directly from my phone or turned off the audio.
Great add on to stock radio!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Although a bit complicated to operate, once you understand the nuances; it is an awesome upgrade to a stock radio withou SIRIUS\XM tuner, AUX input, USB input, & Bluetooth.
Pros: Adds all capabilities of new radios.
Cons: Complicated to operate.
DICE MediaBridge in Toyota RAV4
2006 Toyota RAV4
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
The idea of a device that provides for a wide variety of connections (e.g., phone, Sirius receiver, iPod, etc.) including BlueTooth has great appeal. I only wish that it did so with greater success. Installation was straight forward with Crutchfield's excellent guidance, but performance suffers. Navigation of the iPod using the head unit buttons is confusing, inconsistent and frustrating. The unit arrived needing a firmware update but there is no provision for doing so with an iMac. Given the popularity of Apple products, this is a serious oversight. I can hear occasional static and what I think is ignition noise from both the satellite receiver and the iPod. A trouble ticket to DICE has, so far, gone unanswered. DICE documentation is thin and of minimal help.
Decent, but not worth the price

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Picked this up as a Valentine's gift for the lady, mainly for the Bluetooth so she could have hands-free while driving. A much-desired secondary function was the iPod control, which would replace a previous aftermarket adapter which didn't leave us terribly impressed. I was hoping this upgrade would be an end-all solution for our hands-free and iPod.
The install was fairly simple after breezing through the firmware update. Once everything was in place I gave everything a try, and it worked well. Pairing a phone with Bluetooth was a snap, and performed beautifully. The auxiliary port had no problems, and I did like the built-in EQ settings. However, not all was perfect.
My biggest gripe with the MediaBridge is how unintuitive it is with managing your iPod. It's very laggy when getting track/playlist/artist info, so scrolling through your library in any mode is painfully slow. Also, I still have yet to figure out how to find what music I'm looking for using this interface. You can choose between Playlist/Song/Artist/Album modes, but they don't operate the way they do on the iPod. So unless you happen to stumble upon whatever you wanted to hear, you're going to spend a lot of time needlessly fumbling with the controls -- not something you want to do behind the wheel.
I wanted to be happy with this unit, I really did. And I probably would have if it had been cheaper, not this much. For that price, I feel it should handle iPods much better than this.
2005 Toyota Avalon w/JBL Synthesis & Navigation
Dice tech support assured me that this would work in a 2005 Avalon with JBL Synthesis stereo and navigation, and would integrate seamlessly with the factory steering wheel controls/navigation display and it does exactly that. The install in this vehicle took 30 minutes using the supplied factory harness plug-in. Controls are simple to use and the quality of USB playback and Bluetooth handsfree are both excellent. In my opinion, it would be nice to have the factory navigation michrophone used for the hands-free function. Dice stated that this is being looked at for future models.
Update 01/2012: Unit became erratic after a few weeks and Dice exchanged twice with the same results. Bear in mind this was a non-standard install that neither Dice nor Crutchfield was certain would work. In the end, Dice fully refunded the cost after 6 months of working with me on this which is highly commendable.
