Add Apple Lightning device playback and charging to any FM stereo

Hard-wired FM modulator with on/off switch

The main modulator box connects to the antenna input on the back of your factory radio. You'll need to wire up the TranzIt LINK modulator box for power and ground, which includes incorporating an on/off switch that mounts discreetly on your dash or console. Once you've got everything wired up, stow the modulator box away in your glove compartment or some other spot where it's out of view but provides easy access, as you'll need to choose a dedicated FM station to receive music from your Apple device.

Just connect your device to one cable and go

You can listen to your Apple device through your car stereo simply by connecting the TranzIt LINK's Lightning connector cable to your iPod, iPhone, or iPad. The cable connects to the main modulator box which you've placed out of sight. You can enjoy your favorite music on the go and keep your newer Apple device charged as you drive. You'll be able to enjoy your favorite music apps and turn-by-turn navigation directions from the Apple device through your car's speakers, too.

The TranzIt LINK's onboard 18-bit dual-channel digital-to-analog converter ensures you'll enjoy excellent sound quality from your Apple device, without annoying interference or static. You can adjust the gain on the main modulator box to get the sound output level you desire.

Note: The TranzIt LINK does not provide device control or information display through your car's receiver.

Please call an Advisor at 1-888-955-6000 or enter your vehicle information to see if any antenna adapters or tools are needed to install this FM modulator.

Features

TranzIt Link: The TranzIt Link provides connectivity for the Apple iPod, iPhone, or iPad (with Lightning-connector) to any factory or aftermarket audio system's FM radio. You'll be able to listen to audio from stored music, music apps, and navigation apps on your compatible Apple device through your factory or aftermarket car stereo system's FM radio; all while charging your device.

Connections: The TranzIt Link comes with an interface module that features a 6' length Apple Lightning-connector cable on one end to dock your Apple iPod nano (7th gen), iPod touch (5th gen), iPhone (5/5C/5S), or iPad (4/mini/air) with Lightning-connector; and an 18" stereo RCA cable on the other end which plugs into the included FM radio interface. The TranzIt Link's FM radio interface is then plugged in between your in-dash radio's antenna jack and your factory antenna cable. There is also an 39" power/ground wire which needs to be hardwired to your vehicle's electrical system.

Note: Some factory radio's may require an antenna adapter (sold separately).

Audio Playback: The audio from the attached Apple Lightning connector device will pass through the TranzIt Link to your FM radio; select FM tuner and the appropriate station (87.9 or 88.3) on your radio. You'll be able to listen to audio from stored music, music apps, navigation apps, and other applications on your Apple device through your factory or aftermarket audio system's FM radio.

Controls: There is a switch on the FM radio interface which allows you to select 87.9 or 88.3 as your FM station. A gain control knob lets you adjust the incoming signal of your device. There is also an external toggle switch that turns the TranzIt Link on/off.

2.4 Amp Charging: The TranzIt Link will charge the battery of your Apple iPod nano (7th gen), iPod touch (5th gen), iPhone (5/5C/5S), or iPad (4/mini/air) while its connected and your vehicle's radio is turned on.
