About the iSimple iPod® Adapter for Chrysler

Listen to your iPod® and keep it charged using your Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep factory stereo. The interface lets you control the music with your radio buttons — even with your steering wheel controls if you have them.

Listen to your iPod® and keep it charged using your Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep factory stereo. Just connect iSimple's iSCH73 interface to the back of your factory stereo via the included cable, then plug in your iPod and go. The interface lets you control the music with your radio buttons — even with your steering wheel controls if you have them.

If you prefer, you can use the iPod's Click Wheel instead of the radio buttons. You won't have to worry about sound quality in either case — the wired connection ensures the best possible fidelity from your music. The iPod interface will even charge your iPod while it's plugged in. This adapter kit works with all dockable iPods, including the iPhone®.

iSimple also includes a stereo RCA auxiliary input adapter cable, so you can add another source like a Dock & Play satellite radio or another brand of MP3 player. Warranty: 1 year.

Note: If you haven't already, please enter your vehicle information or call an Advisor at 1-888-955-6000 to find out if the included adapter cables will work with your vehicle.

Compatibility Note: Be sure to check "Details" for specific iPod model compatibility with this iPod adapter.

Q
I have installed the adapter. I have the iPhone 6 Plus. The Auxillary works and I bought an 30-pin adapter. With my iPhone plugged in, I can charge over the iPod cable, but I can't get sound through the stereo. I can't control it either. Is it the 30-pin adapter or something else?

The Apple Lightning to 30 pin adapter only support analogue audio. I do not know if the iSimple is looking for analogue or digital. I just still use my iPod touch for car music and my iPhone 6 for everything else.

I am not sure. I am using and old iPhone 4 I had laying around, just for music. I ran my cable into the glove box and just leave it in there. Every thing else works just fine. Sorry if I didn't answer your question.

I have a jeep commander. When I plug in my iPhone 5s I can scroll through the inputs to a satellite input that isn't their unless my phone is connected. I'd try that first then check the adaptor. It seems like only Apple adaptors work not aftermarket.

Hi! I'm not an expert by any means, but I'll try and help. Even though I Have an iPhone (older than yours), I use an iPod to store/play my music. When i first installed this device, I was having similar problems. I actually went went to a 300 forum (300cforums-dot-com) and searched for some information on the ISCH73 that helped. I don't recall the specific fix (it's been awhile), but I ended up going back over my install and double-checking what I did based upon what I read. I have a 2005 and there is 2 AUX settings (DVD1 and DVD2?) and after being bummed that I was getting zero sound, I found sound happiness when I selected the second AUX option. Good luck!

My question is in regards to another comment/ review of this product that stated the steering wheel button are reversed. Could you explain further please? Is it just the center buttons or the "whole" operation of the rocker switch? Also, is it this way all the time (ie.when listening to the radio or regular CD), or only when listen to iPod. Thank you

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: It doesn't appear that this is a common occurrence and most likely won't happen in many vehicles. There have been no common problems or reports of the buttons being reversed and that one review is the only instance we have of note. I would assume it would only affect the controls when listening to the iPod source but I am not sure. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.

Im trying to integrate a iPad in the vehicle. Will this still control the iPad over usb without being installed into the radio just the vehicle?

As far as I know this will only allow you to play audio through the car. I had this in an 07 charger and I would switch the input to the "VES" (vehicle entertainment system). From the factory this would of been a DVD player but since how I didn't have the DVD player I could hook this up to it to play my ipod/ipad. I could switch to the VES input and play music or videos on my ipad and only the sound would come through. Not sure how integrated you wish to make it. But I feel as though all it is is a aux plug for Apple products. (This unit also has a separate jack for a headphone output just like an aux cord). Hope this helps
