Product Research
Overview: The PAC Wireless Remote Control Interface (WRI-P) connects to the wired remote control input of select Pioneer navigation in-dash receivers and provides wireless remote capability. This interface connects into the Pioneer navigation in-dash receiver's 3.5mm wired remote control input and provides wireless remote control compatibility with select Pioneer IR remote controls.
Note: This product can be used in conjunction with the PAC SWI-PS steering wheel control interface (127SWIPS, sold separately).
Compatibility: The PAC Wireless Remote Control Interface (WRI-P) provides an IR emitter for Pioneer in-dash navigation head units that lack an IR receiver, but do have a 3.5 wired remote input, so you can use a compatible Pioneer wireless remote control for operation.
- Pioneer Navigation In-Dash Receivers: AVIC-F900BT, AVIC-F700BT, AVIC-X710BT, AVIC-X910BT, AVICX-920BT, AVIC-Z110BT, and AVIC-Z120BT
- Wireless Remote Control: CD-R510, CXC7555, and CXC9115
Note: Only the AVIC-Z110BT and the AVIC-X920BT will support the Voice Recognition function via wired remote input. Other Pioneer remotes may work, but some functions/buttons may not be supported.
Installation: The PAC Wireless Remote Control Interface (WRI-P) consists of a hide-away module with a 10" power/ground harness and a 39" IR emitter cable. The power/ground harness plugs into the molex plug on the WRI-P and into the 3.5mm wired-remote input on the back of your compatible Pioneer navigation head unit. The harness also has power and ground leads which need to be wired to your head unit's harness. The IR emitter cable plugs into the 3.5mm IR input on the WRI-P module and then needs to be mounted so there is direct line of sight between your IR remote and the emitter. There is an additional 3.5mm input for connecting the PAC SWI-PS steering wheel control interface adapter (sold separately).
