Power Series amplifiers actively monitor their speakers' performance using Rockford Fosgate's Constant Power technology. A speaker's impedance naturally fluctuates as it performs. So, just like your cruise control increases the engine's RPM to maintain your car's speed uphill, Constant Power maintains this amp's output by increasing its internal voltage and current when the speaker's impedance rises. This results in up to a 25% increase in the amp's total power output, especially in the crucial range below 50 Hz where a sub amp really has to shine.
Rockford Fosgate builds each Power Series mono amplifier with heavy-duty, state-of-the-art components. The award-winning Dynamic Thermal Management design manages the temperature of the internal components, distributing heat evenly for higher efficiency and lower distortion. The unique heat sink allows the heat to escape more readily so the high-power output transistors stay cooler and last longer.
The T1000-1bdCP mono sub amp uses an efficient Class bd design to deliver up to 1,000 watts to your subwoofer system from a remarkably compact chassis. You might think you don't need an amp because you have a 400-watt system in your car, or because your new stereo puts out 50 watts a channel. But those are peak wattage ratings, which may boil down to 15 or 20 watts per channel, using the more realistic RMS rating. An amp sends your speakers the power they need to deliver your music with clarity and impact, whether you're using factory speakers or high-performance components. And low-frequency reproduction requires lots of power, so an amp is an absolute must if you're adding a sub to your system.
i have this amp pushing 2 rockford fosgate punch3 15 2ohm dvc, this amp replaced 2 jl audio 500/1 and the size of this new amp is the same as my old amp, this amp has 1554w on 2 ohm load as the birthsheet says. very underrated, best thing this made the 15s more louder, loud enough to get the vibration feel through the throat. so far my friends says its making their ears ring and hair shake. now i have a matching set of rockford power amps, my system consist of t600-2, t400-2, and this t1000. i have switched over from jl audio 300/2s and 500/1s and these power amps makes my focals sing.
Pros: same size as my jl audio amps, about 3 times the power with the same footprint, easy to hide back in my hidden amp rack.
Cons: wish this had the bass eq like the jl audio amps. might need to use an audiocontrol epic center to do the processing.

I purchased a rockford fosgate Power T- 1000BD CP amplifier and all i can say is WOW! I have it Paired with a Rockford Fosgate Power 12 inch TO subwoofer in a custom sealed enclosure made to the subwoofers Specs. This is a perfect match. Crutchfield did the install and i was smiling This amplifier pushes this subwoofer so Hard, nice and clean it is running in 4 ohms with a little over 700 watts RMS. You will not go wrong buying anything Rockford Fosgate i have been using them for years.
Pros: Plenty of power rather your running two subwoofers or just one. Endless possibilities
Cons: The amplifier has gone in thermal protect mode on long trips but once it cools your back To rocking hard bass again.

Well i must say, i am very VERY impressed with RF qualtiy, power, and design and creativity in the many uses with amps for all types of systems. The t1000 is rated 1505 watts @ 1 ohm and 1495 @ 2 ohms. But using the wire calculation on the RF website i am running around 1379 watts @ 1 ohm with 12.5 volts. Wish you could do 1/0 gauge so you can gay way more then the 1300 watts. You could get closer to the 1450 range. Anyways, i run 2 Alpine Type R 12 in a bandpass and it absolutely amazes me, im not even running these Alpines at full capacity. Gain is at 5 for now and LPF is about 1/4 of the way as well. All's i need to do is do the Big 3 Upgrade, and get a good battery up front. Rockford always exceeds and impresses. Love it!!!

this amp is amazing. i have been searching for a good amp for quite some time, i have found IT. i have it wired for 2ohm, it says 1000wrms@2ohms, but it's actually 1,344wrms@2ohms. i have it on a mb quart pwe354, that's a 15inch sub. this amp makes that sub sing, the sub is rated at 800wrms@2ohms, so i have tons of headroom. the sub breaths, the bass is articulate, deep, strong, clear, and did i say deep? this team makes bass the way it was meant to be. rockford knocked it out of the park with this. a little pricey but worth it. i remember back in the day when you to $1/watt, so this would have been about $1300-1400, it does the latter at 1ohm. glad i got it.

After alot of searching, I chose the T1000-1bdCP to drive 2-12'' Fosgate DVC P3's in a sealed enclosure. Having never wrote a review on any product, I wanted to, for anyone that was researching amplifiers to purchase like I was. In my opinion, this amp delivers. Even though its stable at 1ohm, I wired it into a 4 ohm load, and really see no reason to go to a 1ohm load, due to the fact it sounds terrific the way it is,& has plenty of power on tap. If your looking into amps in this power range, i would very much consider taking a good look at any of the POWER series from RF. Its very small,has a great 24dB/octave crossover,super efficient, never gets hot,nor goes into any protect mode while driving it at high levels for long periods of time. I am very please with its performance,style,& power.
I picked this amp after I tried the Alpine M-1000! I was not satisfied with the alpine and knew I could not go wrong with Rockford Fosgate! I've had it hooked up a few days now and the amp hits hard!!!!! I have it powering two 12 inch kicker comp that were recommended by Crutchfield. It cost a little more than the Alpine but you get what you pay for! This amp will have your trunk and rear view mirrors vibrating!!!!!

Overview: With its super efficient Class-BD circuit topology and Constant Power configuration, the Rockford Fosgate Power T1000-1bdCP assures maximum power output. Due to its dedicated low frequency response, this amplifier is optimized for mid-bass speakers or subwoofers only. The amplifier is 1-ohm stable (1,000 watts x 1) and will drive a pair of 4-ohm DVC subwoofers or quad-configuration of 2-ohm DVC subwoofers with ease.
Class bd Design: Rockford Fosgate bd topology is a revolutionary patented design, integrating a technology that is more efficient than typical class AB and has lower distortion than class D designs. Power bd amplifiers are 75-80% efficient vs. 20-60% efficient class ab amplifiers. This means, more power from your amplifier with less drain on your vehicles electrical and charging system.
Constant Power: Its proprietary "Constant Power" configuration provides the ability to instantaneously deliver maximum output power to speakers without regard to its varying impedance while maintaining high-efficiency and thermal performance. Music and speakers have a dynamic relationship. So your listening experience is cleaner, louder and more impressive than ever before.
Cast Aluminum Heatsink: The cast aluminum heatsink dissipates heat generated by the amplifier's circuitry. The inherent advantage of casting provides a 30% improvement of cooling over conventional extrusion heatsink designs.
Dynamic Thermal Management (DTM): DTM Evenly distributes excess heat across entire amplifier heatsink.
DSM (Discrete Surface Mount): DSM utilize 1% tight-tolerances improving efficiency of the circuit, decreases cross-talk from other discrete components and lowers operating temperature. An industry-leading manufacturing process, DSM utilizes high-speed robotics, high-quality 1% tight-tolerance parts and large board traces. The discrete components are laser etched to meet a particular value and a very low tolerance. This lower tolerance improves the efficiency of the circuit, decreases cross-talk from other discrete components and lowers operating temperature.
TO-247 MOSFETs: The Rockford Fosgate amplifier use custom TO-247 MOSFETs. These have 60% more metal tab area for more power capacity, lower impedance and improved heat dissipation over traditional TO-220 MOSFETs found in many other amplifier. The MOSFET transistor is the best type of device to use when building a high quality mobile amplifier. The TO-247 has 60% more metal tab area and its unique, fully encapsulated design is capable of housing a silicon die (the heart of the MOSFET) twice as large as the TO-220. The larger die provides more power handling capacity. Additionally, the extra metal tab area ensures that no matter what size silicon die is inside, the thermal impedance will always be lower than in the TO-220 due to improved heat dissipation.
MEHSA3: MEHSA3 reduces MOSFET temperatures, lowers distortion, increases durability and prolongs the output device life span. MEHSA3 (Maximum Efficiency Heat Sink Application - gen. 3) is a proprietary process that yields up to five times better heat transfer than traditional FET mounting techniques, using the exact same components. A multi-layer insulated metal substrate operating with minimal thermal resistance spreads heat both downward and outward to quickly dissipate heat from each device across the heatsink. This process combined with Rockford's optimized heatsink designs, DSM (Discrete Surface Mount) technology and MOSFET devices, allows the amplifier to squeeze more watts per cubic inch from every output device as well as provide consistent thermal stability. The 3rd generation creates a dielectric layer between the ceramic topside and the aluminum base that retains all of the electrical isolation and capacitive coupling of the original MEHSA material increasing it's thermal conductivity. The higher power handling results in a 20% reduction in thermal impedance.
NOMAD (NOn-Multiplying Advanced Decision): NOMAD is an intelligent protection circuit that uses an analog computer to make real time decisions regarding temperature, voltage, current and impedance. The unit is protected without limiting sound output unless needed.
Power and Protection LEDs: The LEDs are located on top of the amplifier. A blue Power LED illuminates when the amplifier is turned on. A red Thermal LED illuminates if the amplifier overheats. The yellow Protect LED illuminates if a short circuit or too low an impedance is detected at the speaker connections. When any of the protection circuits engage, the amp automatically shuts down until the problem is corrected.
Internal Crossover: The amplifier features a built-in 24dB/octave Butterworth low-pass filter with a variable crossover point from 35Hz to 250Hz.
Punch EQ2: The Punch EQ on-board equalization circuit helps correct for acoustical deficiencies in the listening environment. This control is a narrow band adjustment variable from 0dB to +18dB at 45Hz with a Gyrator based Punch EQ that eliminates frequency shift with boost.
Infrasonic Filter: This 28Hz high-pass filter (12dB/octave Butterworth) is designed to prevent frequencies below the audio range from being applied to the subwoofer from the amplifier. This infrasonic filter improves your subwoofer performance and power handling, particularly in vented enclosures.
Power Connections: The power and ground terminals are nickel-plated captive c-clamp wire connectors and will accommodate up to 4-gauge wire. An external 150-amp fuse (not included) must be installed on the power wire. If a wiring kit is used which includes a fuse with a value other than 150-amps, the original should be replaced with a 150-amp fuse. The remote turn-on terminal will accept wire sizes of 12- to 24-gauge. A Phillips-head or slotted screwdriver (not supplied) is required to tighten/loosen the terminals.
Dual Speaker Terminals: The Power mono-amplifier features two pair of speaker output terminals so you can easily connect two 4-ohm speakers to the amplifier in a 2-ohm load configuration. The two pair of nickel-plated clamp wire connectors will accept 8-gauge to 18-gauge wire. A Phillips-head or slotted screwdriver (not supplied) is required to tighten/loosen the terminals.
Differential Input RCA Inputs: The amplifier features a pair of differential RCA input jacks for easy connection of signal level input. Differential input circuitry measures the voltage of both the positive (+) and negative (-) portions of the input signal, subtracting the voltage common to both conductors (noise); resulting in a cleaner signal. Reducing the noise on the input then improves the sound quality of the output. The RCA input jacks are nickel-plated to resist signal degradation caused by corrosion.
RCA Outputs: The amplifier also features a pair of RCA "Pass-Thru" jacks which provide a convenient source for daisy-chaining an additional amplifier without running an extra set of RCA cables from the front of the vehicle to the rear amplifier location. The RCA output jacks are nickel-plated to resist signal degradation caused by corrosion.
Remote Punch EQ (PEQ) Connection: An RJ-45 jack is provided for connecting an optional remote PEQ control (575ROCKPEQ, sold separately). If you use the remote PEQ, the Punch EQ control on the amp is disabled, and replaced by the remote.
Note: Previous model Punch Bass and Para-Punch remotes will not work with this amp.
