Rockford Fosgate's P3-1X12 ported enclosure offers the extra power handling and advanced heat dissipation of a Punch P3 12" sub, so you'll hear impressive, crowd-drawing bass that just won't quit.
The enclosure houses a Punch P3 12" sub, with a rigid anodized aluminum cone that holds its shape through heavy play, while staying light and responsive. The aluminum cone acts as a giant heat sink, and works alongside advanced cooling vents to direct heat away from the copper-clad aluminum voice coils. These innovative cooling techniques, plus a heavy-duty motor assembly, let this sub handle up to 600 watts RMS without flinching. The sub's dual voice coils are wired for a 1-ohm total impedance, so make sure your amp can power this enclosure safely.
Rugged 5/8" medium-density fiberboard construction means this enclosure will hold strong for fat, heavy bass. Industrial-grade black carpet provides a clean, finished look, and protects your trunk from nicks and scratches. The spring terminals will accept bare wire, pin connectors, or banana plugs. This enclosure uses an advanced port design that promotes generous air movement, while reducing distortion-causing port noise, so you hear louder, deeper bass. Add an amp and some wiring, and feel the thick low end this enclosure adds to your ride.
An enclosed subwoofer is a box with a subwoofer already installed. The advantage to buying an enclosed sub is that the manufacturer made the sub, then designed and built the box as a perfect match, so you'll get the best possible performance. Every enclosed sub has a maximum RMS power handling rating, so pair it with an amp with a similar RMS power rating to get the best performance.
I love heavy bass and setting car alarms off and you definitely get your bang for you buck with this sub/box combo. Tuning the sub for electronic music will work well with this. I can pretty much listen to it at 8 and still hear the bass then when I barely crank it up it thumps. I currently have 300rms going to it now I can only imagine when I put it to its true potential with the 600rms amp.
Pros: Tons of bass. Price is worth it. For a older sub it still plays very hard. It's a top of the line subwoofer.
Cons: Pretty big box. Does not come with grill for the speaker
I recently had one of these installed in my 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 and let me just say it sounded above my expectations, I was looking for a little bump and what I got was pounding clean bass. If you are looking for a sub take a listen to this. The rest of the speakers are all stock running off a Eonon (china) 8 inch double din that sounded great till I put this sub coupled with a RF T-3002 and 1F cap and now it just blows you away.
This sub hits hard!! Rockford Fosgate never fails to disappoint. Box seems to be put together very well and seems very sturdy. This is my first RF sub and I would recommend them and will be buying them in the future. This sub was an upgrade from a kicker solo baric 10in. I have this sub in the trunk of a honda civic. Have it running off a kicker 500 watt amp at 1ohm, this amp has a bass remote as well (very convinient if you listen to lots of different kinds of music). paired with 6 1/2 kicker front speakers and 6x9 kicker speakers in the rear deck, the speakers are not amplified just running off a kenwood head unit. If you want a sub that hits hard and delivers tons of low bass this is the sub for you.
Pros: -Hard hitting bass that doesn't quit -looks cool -great sub for the price
Cons: Girlfriend won't like how loud it is
Amazing sound in a stylish enclosure that fit perfectly in my vehicle.
Pros: Great sound quality
this system is one of the more powerful speakers that i have owned and let me tell you this thing hits HARD, i have it in a mazdaspeed 3 which is a hatchback and i love it i couldnt ask for a better set up or maybe having two of these but that would be way to much bass but im one of those people who can never have enough, if your looking for a hard hitting sub this is it even better then some of the jl audio subs i have heard
Pros: hard hitting, tons of power, massive bass
Cons: none yet

Punch Woofer: The enclosure houses one front-firing Rockford Fosgate Punch P3D2-12 12" subwoofer. The dual 2-ohm voice coils are internally wired in parallel to present a 1-ohm load. I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: If you have all the wiring needs, you'll just need the line output converter to use it with your factory radio. I'd go with the AudioControl LC2i and you can check it out here: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_161LC2I/AudioControl-LC2i.html If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.
