The flush-mount tweeter allows this speaker to fit in more locations and provides a more focused image.
Whether you're building your first system or replacing some burned-out factory speakers, Rockford Fosgate's Prime Series R1525X2 5-1/4" speakers offer clean, powerful performance that'll keep you and your friends rockin' as you drive. Plus, Prime speakers are a great way to get Rockford Fosgate sound quality without destroying your bank account.
Each 5-1/4" speaker sports a stiff polypropylene woofer cone that delivers strong drums and bass, along with clean reproduction of the midrange frequencies. Rockford Fosgate mounts the silk dome tweeter flush with the woofer so it'll fit in more vehicles while adding the excitement of strong high-frequency response. The built-in crossover network divides the frequencies going to each driver, so all your music plays faithfully. Grilles are included.
The speakers that originally came in your car were made from inexpensive materials, designed to create acceptable sound at the lowest possible cost to the manufacturer. If you love music, you deserve better. Name-brand aftermarket speakers deliver fuller, richer sound with considerably more detail and nuance, and they're capable of playing louder and cleaner than factory speakers. Connect new speakers to your factory radio and you'll get the best possible sound from your dealer-equipped system. Pair them up with a new car stereo for a level of enjoyment that can rival a high-fidelity home audio experience.
These speakers are quick and easy to install with good sound.
Pros: Costs less than 50 bucks! Good sound quality.
Cons: Some distortion after about 20w rms, smaller cone doesn't handle bass as well.
Great sound from a smaller sized speaker.
Pros: Small Loud
Cons: None so far
Great for highs and vocals factory speakers had more bass would recommend going to the 6" speaker.
Pros: Good vocals and instrumental
Cons: Have to push hard for bass
Great sound for the price.
Mine are brand new with only about an hour on them. I have 4 in a small single cab Dodge Dakota. They sound great already but once "broken in" I'm sure the bass will get deeper bass and rock my little truck!
Pros: Clean look Easy install Rockford Fosgate reliability and quality
Cons: Don't seem to respond well to lows yet. Crutchfield advised me of a "break in" period that allows the speaker the stretch and allow for better sound. I can't wait for them to sound even better!
Coming into buying aftermarket speakers, I had no clue in what I was doing. A friend recommended this brand and all I can say is I am impressed! Five stars for sure!
Picked these up to replace the 18 year old speakers in my '98 Grand Prix GTP. Big difference in quality and sound when compared to the factory speakers. Great value for the price. You won't be setting any noise records, but they work perfectly for quality upgrades.
Pros: Clean look, great sound, and incredible price.
Great bang for the buck, buy the adapter from Crutchfield and install is a breeze, no mods for a 2010 Tundra!
They are good. There is a big difference between top of the line and lower end. These are definitely at the lower end for sound quality. No Low End, mid range is pretty reserved. Tweeters work well, but nothing to balance. Spend a little more and get something that will hit a little harder.
Pros: Ease of install. Good feel, decent magnet weight.
Cons: Sound. Not worth $40.
These speakers sound great! Easy install thanks to crutchfiekd sending all th ed wires, connectors and brackets FREE. Fast shipping and very well packaged
Pros: Crystal clear sound Great value Easy install
Easy install in my 2011 Toyota Tundra - Crutchfield gives you everything you need for a quick install
these are great for the price i bought 2 set for a honda with a radio and really improved the sound
Rating them five stars because of the quality and sound for the money. I mounted these as factory speaker replacements in the rear passenger doors of my 2011 Toyota 4Runner. They do a great job complimenting the two sets of RF Prime R165-S I also installed in the back and the front of my 4Runner. I don't know how you could ask for more from a very inexpensive set of speakers. The improvement over stock is very noticeable.
Pros: Inexpensive, good quality and sound.
Cons: None so far
Using these as filler speakers in the rear side panels of my 1989 BMW 325i convertible as they were the only speakers that would fit. Clarity is great as Rockford never ceases to impress me. These speakers are a good replacement over stock speakers, just don't expect bass as these are midrange speakers. still good though
Pros: Clarity, quality
Cons: Not very powerful , good as filler speaker
Sount great, came with extra wires and tip for easy connection to the speaker. Much easier then soldering or taping. I also purchased infinity primos 6.5" and the sound of these blow it away. Great for high to mid range
Pros: Comes with extra wiring which helps for short factory wires and working in tight places.
Crutchfield recommended this speaker to replace a larger pioneer factory speaker. It doesn't nearly have as much base as the 6', and I guess I should have expected as much considering the smaller size. Build quality is good. Be sure your door speaker wiring doesn't interfere with the car windows!
Pros: With included kit, fits with minor alterations Clear, powerful mids and highs
Cons: Lacks bass of factory door speaker Cost (price)
They work great!
Pros: Sound great
These are excellent speakers for the price point. I am running these without an amp with a Pioneer AppRadio 4 head unit.
These have great sound, my only complaint is I have to turn the volume up to mid level to get the bass to come through. I don't know if this is because I am not running an amp, how the head unit is designed, or by design. Once the bass comes in, it is great, not boomy or sloppy. Nice crisp, low sound. It is enough to make me consider NOT adding a subwoofer.
Pros: Great sound, great value.
Cons: Bass doesn't come through on low volume. This may not be the speakers fault however.
Good set of speakers for the price, perfect for the 96 Accord.
I installed these in the back of my 2005 Sienna. They are just filler speakers so they do their job well.
Pros: Great part players in a total system.
These worked well for my 2000 jetta. Took no time at all to put in after getting the provided bracket in. It was a great fit and sound great. I was worried about the size since they are slightly smaller than other options, but I think they do the job well.
Pros: Great fit and took no time to put in my 2000 jetta
I like these speakers. The best value of the speakers of the same price. Should last the life of the vehicle.
Pros: price, sound
Cons: none noticed
I bought these speakers to fit in the factory locations on my 63 Impala. It fit great in the dash location!
Pros: Good sound for the price!
Great sound!!! Very very small modification to install in my E30 bmw. Took 15 mins to install all four of them. Very happy with products and customer service, very nice ppl and plan on buying from them again !!!
Replacement for Jeep Wrangler rear roll bar speakers. Absolutely a steal at this price. Deep bass and LOUD. Strongly recommend this speaker set!
Pros: loud, strong bass, exceptional value for terrific speaker
These speakers blew me away really I was gonna spend over 100 on the 2 speakers but saved some money got 2-5.25s and 2-4s for $109 came with speaker wire long enough to wire a van great product would recommend to anybody who's not going wild with a system although these speakers do compare to my friends expensive Boston acoustics
Pros: Great speaker Very clean and attractive
Decent speaker for the money
Cons: Nothing really for the price
I purchased these speakers to replace my tired front 6 3/4" factory speakers in my '95 Camaro. I initially ordered the 6 3/4" version based on the Crutchfield fitment guide stating they would fit. Although they would have fit after modification of the OEM speaker bracket, i did not want to go through the hassle of cutting/drilling, so I returned the larger size and got the 5 1/4". They are a great replacement to factory speakers. They seem to be a solid improvement versus what was originally installed, and seem to have good response, with decent mid and high clarity. Dont expect stunning lows, as these are only a 5 1/4" 2 way speaker. I realize these are not high end speakers, but for the money, I am happy. Using the supplied brackets allowed for a few simple, straightforward install with no hacking or rigging something up in my vehicle, which i greatly appreciate.
Pros: Perfect fit using supplied brackets Excellent upgrade vs. OEM Good sensitivity, mids, and highs
Speakers buzzed from day 1. I have factory stereo which doesn't have a lot of power. Speakers were defective out of the box. Installation is brutal on my car so I just left them in. Don't buy!
Cons: Bad out of the boxCrutchfield response on August 5, 2015 Whenever you encounter a problem with anything you purchase from Crutchfield, especially a situation like this, please contact our tech support team right away. Great sounds. Buy these
Although this speakers were smaller than the junk factory speakers they were an immediate improvement. I opened them up pretty loud and the clean sound held up well. With the Scosche SAC-656 Speaker Mounting Brackets and Crutchfield directions, installation was a breeze.
Pros: Good sound for the price
Cons: Can't think of anything
Good crisp sound from a small package. Crutchfield install kit once again made the process simple
Pretty good. I just wish the tweeter had a little more kick like you get from a proper component system. Still they're quite clear for coaxial speakers. There isn't punch, but I don't expect any from 5.25". I would buy again.
Pros: Good clarity Look nice
Cons: Could use sharper highs
Hard to beat for the price construction and sound are both good
Sounds good at high volume. Installed easily in a 2002 Blazer pushed by a Pioneer head unit.
awesome upgrade crisp clean sound great price plus everything you need to install thanks to crutchfield
Pros: sound quality
These speakers are a great value for the buck. Like the ad said, It replaces the stock speakers without breaking your bank account.
Pros: Sounds decent for the price.
Cons: I was hoping the magnets were a little bit larger.
Marked improvement over stock jeep tj speakers
Considering they were only $60, these speakers were a great upgrade over the crappy stock ones that came in my Subaru. I had already installed an aftermarket head unit and the clarity is definitely better. I listen mainly to rock (classic rock, hard rock, metal) but occasionally put pop on when my GF is in the car. The bass is good as long as there's not too much else going on in the music. If there's a lot of layers the bass kinda gets drowned out which is why I'm currently looking for underseat subs.
Pros: great price, clear highs, great mids, fit well in smaller spaces
Cons: not much bass
Bought to replace factory speakers. Kept factory head unit and wanted speakers that would work with system output! These speakers are perfect. Much better sound quality and decent bass. Nailed it!
Pros: Much better sound!
Cons: Door panel removal
Sound great good bass and quality
Pros: Great quality
Great sounding speakers and easy install
Speakers fit the small shallow area I have. They sound as cheep as they cost.
Pros: They fit in shallow tight spots. Look good with nice covers.
Cons: Sound cheep and tinny.
I installed these on my 98 Jeep Cherokee and they went in easily. It took me a total of 15 minutes to install them completely. They are a great replacement for my factory installed ones. If you're looking for super high performance speakers, these aren't it. You will be pleased with the quality you get for the price.
Pros: Easy to install Direct factory replacement Good sound in the mids and highs
Cons: Doesn't quite hit the bass like you want it to
These speakers produced more music than I expected for price. For speakers in this price range, definite good selection.
Pros: Clean frequency response and nice tweets.
Cons: Not a lot of bass reproduced.
We bought these to replace the factory jeep speakers. They sound so much better than the stock ones. We also added a Alpine power pak for a little more power to them. Made a difference!
Pros: Great value and sound.
Got these hooked up today in the dash of my completely new 1979 CJ-5! They sound great and I installed the enclosures for the back of the speakers for more base. Powered through a Retro 2 knob OEM replacement radio with mp3 and wav reading capability off a small hard drive. Everything fit perfectly. *****
Pros: Easy install, great sound for limited sizing capabilities in dash.
Great speakers for the price. Nice highs and great sound for every application.
Pros: Price to sound ratio
Very pleased with product and value. Having the instructions and all hardware supplied made for a very quick and professional installation.
Pros: Great product and having all hardware and instructions supplied made for a very professional installation.
Handles the bass and mid range, but clips out at high volumes. Good for personal listening. Bad for showing off, annoying people, and calling unwanted attention to yourself from the cops.
Pros: pleasant sound at reasonable volumes, reasonable price
Cons: I cannot handle loud!
The sound quality has a great change that it was before in a factory installed speaker.
Pros: Fits very well with its original location
Cons: It doesn't sound little louder so front speaker is much more louder than the rear installed speaker.
Excellent speakers. Had to drill some new holes in my door panels, but the sound great. The mounting brackets didn't fit right up with the stock holes, so I had to make some adjustments.
Nice sound, good mids, bass is noticeably better than factory
These were not the speakers I was expecting. They were advertised as "great replacements for your stock speakers". I didn't find them to be that exactly. The mids and highs are nice but they have ABSOLUTELY NO bass drive at all. I bought a powered subwoofer to go with them and I'm not completely satisfied with it. I got what I paid for though.
Pros: Good mids and highs. Easy installation.
Cons: No bass whatsoever, even on the highest bass adjustment.
Rockford Fosgate has been around for awhile, it's still around ! The point is the quality, price, and sound these products offer you is amazing. Growing up this is all my father had in his vehicle and now it's reputation has been passed on to me. I will then pass it on to my children. Overall great product.
Pros: The build of the speaker is remarkable from the easy installment to the way it's packaged in the box. The clarity is untouchable and the thump I get from it gives people chills.
Cons: N/A in my own opinion.
Installed these speakers in about an hour in our Honda Odyssey. My family immediately noticed how much clearer the mid-range vocals were and and how crisp the high end music sounded. The mid-bass ended up being less than the originals due to a smaller sized speaker and the speakers most likely needing more wattage than the original stereo has available. The wife and kids are very happy with the much better sound so we're very happy with the end result. They were an excellent recommendation from the Crutchfield advisor.
Pros: Clearer high notes and vocals/mid-range. Excellent sound
Cons: Mid-bass was less than originals due to smaller speaker size and the low wattage from factory stereo.
The quality of sound is phenomenal compared to the stock speakers in my 98 Corolla.
Pros: Sound quality is nice, provides great mid to high range. The mounting brackets made fitting it not as much of a custom fabrication affair.
Cons: Now this is why I couldn't give it the full 5 stars, the speed clips they include have absolutely no use in my car, the clips are maybe a half inch long and wide, and the mounting holes are 2-3" in from the edge of the mounting hole, I did not have a small enough pliers to try and hold them behind the mounting holes so I had to go and get bolts and lock nuts from my hardware store. Not the biggest of deals but it made installation a chore.
These speakers were extremely easy to install in my 1994 Cadillac DeVille. The sound quality is fantastic, and the highs/mids were perfect in conjunction with the factory tweeters. I highly recommend these if you are looking for an inexpensive upgrade or replacement to factory speakers.
Pros: Good, clear sound. Excellent mid-range. No distortion even at high volume when ran from the factory head unit.
Cons: None noted.
The punch on these speakers took me by surprise. Excellent mid and high range. The bass is decent, won't knock your socks off but then again, I wasn't expecting it to do so in this price range.
Pros: Midrange and highs
I wanted to replace the speakers in my wife's 2007 VW Rabbit. Crutchfield recommended these R1525 2-way speakers. The 2007 VW Rabbit has component speakers i.e. a 6.75 woofer, a 5.25 mid range, and a 1in tweeter in the doors. It has a 6.5 woofer and a 1in tweeter on each side in the rear. Somebody please explain to me where 2-way speakers fit into this picture!
Pros: The master sheet directions on how to get to the speakers were very good. However, nowhere does it say you have to buy a special tool, only used by the Germans to get the rear seat out!
Cons: Crutchfield recommended a pair of 5.25in 2-way speakers and a pair of 4in 2-way speakers for the 2007 VW Rabbit. Bill, somebody dropped the ball big time on this one!Crutchfield response on May 27, 2014 All of the tools needed for stereo and speaker removal are listed on the first page of our MasterSheet instructions, including specialty tools like in this case. As for speaker replacement, it's a common practice for people to replace factory component speakers with better 2-way speakers. That's why we offer that as an option in our vehicle-fit tool. Our tech support team reached out to the customer to explore his options and offer their assistance with the installation. Lifetime tech support is included with every Crutchfield purchase.
Clear sound, much better mids and definition that stock Toyota speakers but woefully short on low end, much lower than we was replaced. Also not as loud as I would have wanted, even with the ability to handle what the head unit is pushing (Kenwood DPX 500BT).
Pros: Clear definition, mids
Cons: Low end, ability to move real air.
This speaker are not what I expected to performed. If you are planning to upgrade your stock speakers I would suggest to get a much better brand.
Pros: Clear sound
Cons: Low bass performance is average.
I bought 4 of these Rockford fosgate speakers to install in my 2003 Acura tl-s. The Acura had Bose speakers from the factory and I was doubtful these would even come close to matching performance, but I was entirely wrong! Much clearer sound, and they can take some serious pounding. Amazing speakers for the money. I would recommend them to anybody on a budget who wants amazing sound for a great price! These 5 1/4 speakers blew me away and sound almost as good as the kicker 6x9s in my second vehicle.
Pros: Awesome sound, easy installation.
Cons: Same price as the same family Rockford 6 1/2 inch speakers with less power handling.
Very good sounding speaker I can't compare it to stock since they were blown when I bought my 2005 gmc cannyon, but I can tell you these speakers sound very good. Not much bass but I expected that .crutchfield is awesome my speakers came with mounting brackets and wiring harnesses I'd most certainly buy from them again, great support team great company thanks guys!
Pros: Came with brackets and wiring harnesses free!!!
Cons: Wasn't able to hear speakers before buying but read lots of reviews.
fantastic speakers and even better service
Pros: Great value and fantastic sound
Needs to be higher watts not much mid range bass that comes out without piping sound. So This speaker has to be used with a cross over.
Sound quality is good, installation instructions were helpful and the price was perfect
Pros: Easy to install, great sound, came with everything I needed
Not bad less bass though
Pros: Clear sound
Cons: Less bass
Decent speaker. Sounds clean and clear, not a lot of bass. Highs aren't sharp, more on the mellow side. Mounts easy., looks nice. Good speaker for the money
Pros: Cheap, mounts easy, nice entry level RF speaker
Cons: Not a lot of volume, little bass
Love the speakers. Good clear crisp sound. I highly recommend these speakers. Thanks to the Crutchfield team.
Bought this for our 2004 Honda Odyssey and was extremely hesitant of sound quality. To my surprise, these sound wonderful in both high and mids. Even more surprising was the great lows! Highly recommended.
Pros: Crystal clear highs Great mids A lot of lows for a speaker this small
Bought these to replace the stock speakers in my 2004 honda civic. The sound quality is very good but not alot of bass.
Pros: easy to install
I was looking for good quality speakers to replace my stock 1998 Altima ones with. The installation was easy with the included adapters for my car and the included instructions. They're louder and punchier than my old ones, I'm very happy with them!
Pros: Easy to install,Nice clear sound, nice punch
AS ALWAYS GREAT SERVICE, AND THE PRODUCT IS TOP OF THE LINE
Pros: PERFECT FIT AND SOUNDS GREAT
Great replacement for factory speakers. Warm, round sound. great delivery of mids and highs, good bass for front speakers. Easy to install with the provided, car specific Crutchfield bracket.
Pros: warm, round sound. great for front door. good bass.
It was very difficult to find speakers for the doors of my son's Subaru. There is not much clearance in the doors. My son really wanted a matched set front and rear and the Rockfords were one of the few choices that had a speaker to fit both doors. They are a big improvement over the factory speakers and have very nice sound for the price. We will think about putting a small amp in place in the future but for now he is very happy with the purchase. I think there are better overall speakers out there in this size but these were clearly "the best that would fit" for our application.
Pros: They actually fit!
Cons: Not as efficient as some other models so will probably want to add a small amp in the future as opposed to running just off the deck.
These are not your usual quality Rockford Fosgate speakers. I bought these to replace the factory front speakers in a 2004 Toyota Corolla. I thought the sound of the stock system was pretty sub-par. It's even worse with these. Theses replacements are all upper end and no mid or bass. Not that I expect a lot of bass from a 5 1/4" speaker, but it should perform down into the low 800-1000 HZ range. I don't think it performs below about 3000Hz. Really disappointed.
Pros: Comes in a nice looking box and seems well made
Cons: Sound quality is quite sub-par for a small speaker.
Great full spectrum of sound.
Great sound and quick installation at a great price!
Pros: Great upgrade from factory
A++ good quality speakers
Pros: Good quality speaker for good price
Very simple and straightforward installation in the back doors of the Tacoma. The Crutchfield instructions, brackets, and wiring harness made it very easy. The sound on these are a little on the harsher side, but good enough for fill using the factory head unit. And they sound 100 times better than the factory speakers.
Pros: Easy installation.
Cons: Clean sound but a little on the harsh side.
These little speakers give life to my 99' Jeep grand Cherokee, when I turn the balance to the rear it plays every high and mid note. Bass is okay but I was looking for sound Clarity and I did get that with these. Crutchfield delivered these within 2 days which made the wait very tolerable and they always do a good job with sending instruction sheets as well as hardware to help speed to process along. Truly great place to go for anything for car audio.
Pros: Clear, loud Mids and Highs easy installation and can handle any frequencies you throw at em
These really sound great on mid-high range. Good volume. As to the installation, they mount easily & they come with pre-crimped spade terminal that needs to be butt-spliced onto the existing speaker wires. Its quite easy to do.
Pros: Exellent clarity, volume, & installation
Cons: None really
I bought these to replace the stock read deck speakers on my '02 Civic. The design of the Civic made installation more complex that I expected, but that's my issue with Honda, not RF. The speakers sound great!
Pros: Clean sound, good price.
these speakers will give you bass in a good application and will hit as hard as you want them to. I have bought my whole sound system through Crutchfield and they give you every key piece you need for a good installation. The prime speakers are amazing with the wide range of sound you can get out of them.
Pros: The sound and clarity.
Cons: The wattage rating RMS could be a little higher for better apllications
These speakers really add to the clarity of my music. They don't provide much bass, but that isn't what I got them for. The highs and mids are very clear and pleasant. My stereo doesn't have to be blaring to hear the highs and mids while the windows are down. I am very pleased.
Pros: Clarity Price
Cons: Didn't fit the factory hole very well. Needed modification.
Good product and easy to install.
Great sounding speakers that fit perfect in the application. Super fast shipping. A pleasure to do business with.
Pros: Perfect fit,great sound.
Wow, incredible crisp clean sound even in my tacoma pickup with the stock cd player. Strange to feel bass all of sudden. Next step is upgrading the stereo and I can't wait. I highly recommend Rockford Fosgate.
Pros: Hard to believe the resonable price for these speakers. The sound quality is amazing.
Cons: None whatsoever
I bought these to replace my factory speakers in my Honda Civic. Although they sound clear, there is zero bass. Now I am forced to take them out, or get a sub and an amp. Not excited.
Pros: Clear sound
Cons: No bass
Installed these in the rear deck of a 2004 Honda Civic. The sound is not amazing, but they are better than the 6 1/2" Polks I put in the front doors. Good mids and highs. The bass is what you should expect from 5 1/4" speaker. Audible but far from booming.
Pros: Price with included installation hardware
Awesome speakers for a cheap price. Rockford Fosgate once again lives up to its name of being a reliable system. Super easy to install, took me approximately 3 minutes per speaker in my '98 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
Pros: Easy to install Great price Awesome sound
Great speakers with a decent price, had to use the mounting bracket, and they were a little smaller than the factory speakers but no comparison in sound.
Exceptional product. Rockford Fosgate is just the best you can get hands down.
Replaced old Kenwoods in my Jeep with these. I knew the Kenwood speakers that were in there were about 10 years old, but still thought they sounded decent. Put these in and was impressed at how crisp and clean these sounded compared to the Kenwoods.
Pros: Price, sound, good looking grill
Cons: Little bass (not surprising since they are 5 1/4 speakers)
I love this speakers. Even without the amp still provided you rich sound. I installed this on the back of my civic 2004 and in the front with polk db5251 component speakers with power from the amps. Excellent Speakers from Rockford.I'm always a big fan of RF.....
I purchased these speakers to replace my stock speakers on a 2013 Honda Accord LX. The openings on the LX are 6.5 inches. These 5.25 inch speakers do not completely fill in the opening so there is open space all around the speaker preventing it from properly pushing air, especially for bass. As a result, bass is very weak and overall, they did not sound good. Crutchfield offers a plastic insert to cover the open area but I instead went with larger 6.5 inch Kenwood speakers. I would much rather fill the space with speaker as opposed to plastic. So, these speakers may sound alright on a different car, but as for the 2013 Honda Accord, go with a larger speaker. See my review on the Kenwood KFC-1664.
Pros: Well constructed
Awesome speakers! Crutchfield makes it easy installing them, fast shipping and great costumer support!
Pros: Easy install, sound great
Cons: Could use more bass
Nice sound. Not as rich and full as original speakers. Easy to install
Cons: Bass a bit lacking
Good sound at a good price
Pros: Sound quality, price
I was looking to upgrade my tired stock Infinity speakers on my 93 lebaron convertible, with a new deck. I was a Big rockford fan in the 1990's when into the Big old school systems, but I've mellowed out a bit. I want good sound quality and some volume because I need to hear it over the wind noise, but I wasn't looking to rattle windows. These sound crisp, clear and well balanced. These speakers sound much better than the stock speakers and I hear my music over any wind. The bass was actually better than I thought given the limited range of speakers of this size. I thought a subwoofer might be needed at some point, because I still like some bass, but these speakers aren't leaving me wanting much more.
Pros: Great Value Great sound, worthy of the Rockford name!
Cons: None, You won't get better sound quality, or bass with this size of speaker regardless of manufacturer. If you need more bass than this, add a subwoofer
Good quality for the price. Sound great for the size.
I was surprised at the quality of these little speakers, especially the mids and highs. Crystal clear sound.
Pros: Mids and highs sound great
Cons: No bass. None. Not even a little. Don't even try.
I find these speakers to be a "good" replacement from my stock speakers in a Pontiac Vibe. I originally had an upgraded sound system with the purchase from the factory, these speakers are good but not best.
Pros: price vs quality
Cons: could use some more power...
I relly like thesr speakers I replaced the factory rear deck speakers I now have much better treble 2 way I have an unexpected amount of bass its only 5and a half inches wow
Pros: Easy to put in better bass bettar treble what else do you want
These little speakers are impressive! I was surprised at how much bass they can deliver, especially when they are well-baffled, as in the front doors of my 2007 Toyota Corolla (using the perfect-fit Crutchfield brackets). The only difficulty was drilling out three hardened-steel rivets to remove the old speaker. (I burned out one, and dulled another titanium-nitride bit.) The bass made the door liners vibrate and buzz, so I had to insert foam in selected areas. The treble and mids are crystal-clear. Be aware that these are much less efficient than the factory units. That turned out to be good for me, as it made the previously 'dead' door-top tweeters just sizzle! The approx. 11 w/ch. supplied by the factory head unit drives them adequately. A great value for a well-made component.
Pros: Surprising bass, excellent treble and mids. Easy installation.
Cons: Draw more power than than factory front speakers.
Sounds great and install was super easy
Pros: Clear sounds
I love these speakers! Install went smoothly with the included accessories, and they sound great compared to the stock speakers. Couldn't find a better pair for the money.
Pros: Sound good inexpensive good stock replacement
LOVE DOING BUSSINESS WITH YOU-FREE CONNECTORS-GREAT
Decent speakers that handle mids and highs with pretty good clarity. But as for bass.... well maybe it's with Waldo and I just haven't spotted it yet? Granted one should not expect much thump with 5-1/4" speakers, but wow, it's like a black hole for low frequencies.
Pros: Solid construction, easy to install (even with the modifications needed fpr my BMW 381.) Good clear sound.
Cons: Boom go Bing. Don't really have much volume.
These Rockford speakers are pretty good i put them in my Jeep XJ and the front one gave me a little hassle for installation because you have to drill new mounting holes for the screws because they dont line up but the rear ones went right in and they sound awesome for the price. I wish they could get a little louder but hey they were only this much a pair so o well and it seems like they generate sound to carry so it sorta drowns out outside noise of car and environment and alot! clearer then stock speakers
Pros: price look durability easy to install
Cons: could get a little louder
these speakers are a lot better than the stock speakers in my car... the price was good and they fit perfectly
Pros: good price sound good fit perfectly
Cons: doesn't do well with the lows but wasn't expecting it to sound like a good 6x9
"2013 Honda Accord Sport" Speakers made a big sound improvement and I am very satisfied. The only gripe I have is that you need to turn the volume up to enjoy them fully.
Pros: For the money a very good upgrade choice.
Cons: At low volume they do not sound as good.
great speakers, easy to install (which I really needed) came with the new harness, great fit, very pleased with this purchase! I would definitely recommend these speakers.......fit great in soundbar of my '02 Wrangler :)
Great speakers, i have used it in overhead bar in 91 jeep wrangler. Couple issues: 1. Required hole diameter is smaller than other 5.25 speakers 2. positive/negative labeling is confusing. Red wire goes to negative label, black to positive. I ended up using colors as a guide vs labels on connectors.
Pros: Loud, clear sound
Cons: Slightly smaller than other 5.25. Requires smaller hole. I had old sony speakers installed before. Labeling is confusing.
i installed these in the front of my truck with the instructions and provided pieces, they were fast and easy to install despite a local dealer telling me otherwise. the local dealer told me these wouldn't fit and tried to tell me to return these speakers and buy his gear.....his prices were steep and i took off home to do it my self and i am glad i did. these speakers are great and a absolutely astounding purchase for the price if you dont have the green to buy a phenomenal system powered by an amp these speakers are your solution....they aren't super bright and they aren't super crisp but they are absolutely great sounding speakers for what you pay id recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade from stock or blown speakers ( paired well with my 12" rockford fosgate punch p3s sub)
Pros: great sound for a great price
Cons: cant think of any
Have installed in my aftermarket kick-panels for my 1972 Chevelle and amplified by an Alpine MRP-F300 4x50w amp. They have rich sound and do a pretty good job of pulling sound forward in my front seats.
Pros: Good Speaker for the $$$, sound as expected.
Great quality and clean sound in a compact package.
Pros: Good choice for a speaker upgrade if you're looking for better sound on a factory head unit or an aftermarket unit. Solid construction.
Replaced broken factory speakers with these Rockford Fosgates. They sound better than I expected for the price. They are in my wife's car. I am thinking about getting some for my car now.
Pros: Decent bass for small speaker. Low Price. Well made with higher end materials that should last.
Cons: Speaker Brackets that Crutchfield sent did not work with my car.
Excellent speakers for the money..... Cant go wrong! Great Mids. and highs...even has a good bass punch!
Pros: Best Bang for your buck
Never had RF speakers before accept for subs. These two way speakers sound great just powered by the head unit. Excellent speaker that wont break the bank.
Pros: Good Sound Exact Fit
great sound for the money but bigger is better if thats an option. Perfect if you don't want or need an amp.
Pros: price, quality, sound
Cons: have to turn the bass down on your radio
Very good speakers
I never owned a R&F Speaker before, and I was pleasantly surprised with the sound and quality for a speaker costing so little. Good bass and highs. I recommend this speaker for any one looking for high quality for a decent price.
Pros: sound , quality and price.
Sounds good, fair price
Great clear crisp sound, great price. You cannot go wrong with these speakers.
Pros: Easy to install with supplied kit, no issues.
The speakers are great! They have great highs and a little bump to it as well. but I really just needed something with not so much bump on the front door speakers too much bump in the front door was giving me a headache so these are perfect I get a great crisp sound. guitar solos sound beautiful violins, vocals all sound beautiful. I'm driving a Dodge Durango with 6 3/4 speaker holes and these 5 1/4 are just fine.
Pros: Clean, great highs, well rounded little bass bump to them. No distortion at all.
Cons: NONE. Perfect for me
There speakers have a great sound quality. I am very impressed with there performance. Dollar for dollar you cant beat em!
Pros: There small enough to where they replaced my stock speakers with no problems. Which meant no fabrication.
Cons: They don't produce a much bass or deep notes as I prefer.
Very easy to install with the included instructions and adapters from Crutchfield. They sound great and are a major improvement over the stock speakers in my 2010 Tundra DC.
The speakers do sound great, they replaced the OEM speakers.
Pros: Sound great
Cons: Smaller then OEM, and there is a small gap between the speaker and the install kit.
Excellent Quality speakers for price

The Rockford Prime series speakers are highly efficient so they would work nicely running off the factory amplifier in your '00 Town and Country. My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=159 [ Larry Jan 20, 2016 ] Staff
If your referring to the mounting bracket it does. As long as you have entered your vehicle into "what fits my car" the correct mounting bracket will be included. Make sure the "it fits" is next to the speaker you've selected. [ CLINT Jan 15, 2016 ]
I installed my pair with a standard Sony receiver on my harley Davidson Electra Glide. At 50 mph I have to turn the radio up and I still get an awesome sound from these speakers, (Rockford Fosgate Prime R1525X2) I highly recommend them with a stock or aftermarket system [ DONALD Jan 08, 2014 ]
I don't quite understand your questions, but I'll say the following, as long as you have space for a 5 1/4" speaker, and your radio has enough power, they should sound OK. They do not reproduce much bass, so I use them in my front doors as mid-range speakers, since I have a powered sub-woofer in the rear to handle the heavy bass. Hope this helps out. Pretty good sound from these speakers. Idk if your stock ones are premium but if not these will be better. These won't effect your head unit, they will use whatever amperage its putting out. [ CHAD Jan 07, 2014 ]
Upgrading your factory speakers is always my first step. Even if you don't have a factory amp ie Bose or any other type of "upgraded" factory system. The sound quality over paper speakers is so much better. However if your factory head unit doesn't have enough RMS power to push these you may not get the full flavor sound your looking for. But I have these with my factory head unit and they sound great. So there are a ton of variables when it comes to car-fi. But it's up to you. But to answer your question Yes they are worth it [ MATTHEW Jan 06, 2014 ]
My personal experience with these speakers is a great one. They sound so much better than the original ones that were in my truck. The sound is crisp and clear even at high volume. They also sound great accompanied by a pair of subs. I would say they are worth the investment. [ APRIL L Jan 06, 2014 ]
