About the Rockford Fosgate Prime R600-5
Now you can get Rockford Fosgate performance when you build your first system. Prime Series amplifiers bring out your music's subtle details as they drive your speakers with the clean power you need to overcome road noise and fill your car with sound.
5 channels of Prime power
The Prime Series R600-5 5-channel amp takes care of your car's whole system, putting out 50 watts RMS per channel to your front and rear full-range speakers while sending up to 300 watts RMS to your sub. Or you could put the amp into 3-channel mode to run a pair of speakers with 150 watts RMS each and still drive a sub with up to 300 watts. High- and low-pass filters and Rockford Fosgate's famous Punch bass boost let you tune your speakers for maximum performance and adjust your subs for different enclosures or types of music.
POWER up
Rockford Fosgate designed Prime amps to deliver Power Output Without Excessive Regulation (POWER), which means they'll respond quickly and cleanly to the peak demands that you may throw at your system. Your driver's seat will become your favorite place for listening when you add the clarity and impact of a Rockford Fosgate amp.

Features
Overview: The Rockford Fosgate Prime R600-5 is a 5-channel amplifier, designed to power four full range speakers plus a subwoofer. The R600-5 is essentially three amps in one chassis; front and rear class A/B 2-channel amps with identical but independent controls (gain, crossover, Punch Bass), and a class D subwoofer amp (with its own gain, crossover, phase, and Punch Bass controls). The front and rear channels are bridgeable, so the amp can also be used in 4-channel or 3-channel modes.
CEA 2006 Compliant: The R600-5's power ratings are measured according to the strict standards dictated by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards allow you to accurately compare the rated power output of all CEA 2006-compliant amplifiers, even different brands. Manufacturers who adhere to the standards can display the CEA 2006 logo on their products and packaging. The RMS power output is as follows (measured with a 14.4 volt input, <1% THD+N, front and rear channels 20 Hz-20 kHz, sub channel 20-130 Hz):
- 4-Ohm: 50 watts x 4 + 200 watts x 1
- 2-Ohm: 75 watts x 4 + 300 x 1
- Bridged (4-Ohm): 150 watts x 2 (front and rear channels only)
LED Indicators: The amplifier is equipped with two side-mounted LED indicators:
- Power LED: illuminates blue when the unit is on
- Protect LED: illuminates red when a protection circuit engages (short circuit or too low an impedance is detected at the speaker connections); the amplifier automatically turns off if this occurs
Mounting: The amplifier can be mounted vertically, horizontally, or inverted using the supplied mounting screws; horizontal mounting (right side up) will provide the best cooling. The amplifier should never be mounted in the engine compartment (this will void your warranty).
Controls
Gain Control: The amplifier has three gain controls; front, rear, and sub. Each is continuously variable from 150mV to 8V.
Crossovers: The amplifier features independent crossovers for the front, rear, and sub channels:
- Front:
- Type: choose low-pass (variable), all-pass (full range), or high pass (80 Hz)
- Frequency: the low-pass crossover point is continuously variable; 50-250 Hz
- Rear:
- Type: choose low-pass (variable), all-pass (full range), or high pass (80 Hz)
- Frequency: the low-pass crossover point is continuously variable; 50-250 Hz
- Sub: the subwoofer's low-pass crossover point is continuously variable; 40-130 Hz; the sub crossover cannot be bypassed
Phase: A switch allows you to easily invert the subwoofer phase, choose 0° or 180°.
Punch Bass: The front, rear, and sub channels also have independent Punch Bass (bass boost) controls. The front and rear channel options are 0 dB, 6 dB, and 12 dB. The sub channel's Punch Bass is variable from 0 dB to 12 dB. All the Punch Bass boost circuits are centered at 45 Hz.
Punch Level Control: When the included wired remote Punch Level Control is connected to the R600-5, the subwoofer channel output level can be adjusted remotely (from the dash or center console). The Punch Level Control module features a rotary dial and includes mounting hardware and a 16' connector cable.
Connections
Power Terminals: The power and ground terminals are nickel-plated screw terminals and will accommodate up to 1/2" wide spade or ring connectors. Rockford recommends using 4 gauge power and ground wire.
Remote Turn-On Terminal: The remote turn-on terminal is a nickel-plated screw terminal that will accommodate spade or ring connectors up to 0.34" wide.
Speaker Terminals: The speaker terminals nickel-plated screw terminals what will accommodate spade or ring connectors up to 0.34" wide.
RCA Input Jacks: There are three pair of RCA input jacks; front, rear, and sub. They are nickel-plated to resist signal degradation caused by corrosion.
Fuses: The amplifier is shipped with two 40-amp ATO fuses installed. Two spare 40-amp fuses are also included.

Sweet Amp, runs the 5x7 great and the 10" sub is crisp and clean. The real credit however goes to Crutchfield. Their techs are insane when it comes to audio knowledge. I will never buy audio equipment from anyone else!!
