Rockford Fosgate builds their Power line of speakers for the true car audio enthusiast. The Power T1675-S component speaker system utilizes advanced design elements to ensure that they'll deliver superior sound in your vehicle for a long, long time. Treated fabric tweeter

The separate 1" treated fabric dome tweeter makes the high frequencies sparkle, so mount it up closer to your ears for optimal imaging. Superior components eliminate the "hot spots" and dropouts caused by inferior crossover networks. You can select from three tweeter levels to get the best match for your vehicle, and you'll even find a switch that optimizes the sound if you can't mount the tweeters facing directly at you. These speakers will handle up to 100 watts RMS so you'll want to connect an external amplifier to get the most out of them.

Rockford Fosgate innovations

Rockford uses their proprietary VAST™ technique to increase the woofer's cone area without increasing the size of the basket. This larger cone gives you deeper lows and more power handling, and it's supported by a durable rubber surround that's designed to last a long time. The slots around the frame make it easier to install these speakers if the factory holes are slightly off, and they even come with plates that allow them to fit into oval speaker openings.

Installation note: You'll need a pair of our universal backstraps to install the tweeters in the factory locations.

Product Research

Features

Injection-Molded Woofers: The woofer cones are injection-molded carbon fiber filled polypropylene. This molding process assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also light weight and rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response.

Butyl Rubber Surrounds: The butyl rubber surrounds dampen unwanted harmonic distortion while maintaining linear geometry under extreme weather conditions. This leads to less distortion, superior frequency response, and superior durability.

VAST Surround: The Vertical Attach Surround Technique (VAST) increases a speaker's effective radiating cone area without increasing the size of the basket.

FlexFit: The Flex Fit frame utilizes slots (where possible) instead of single screw sized holes; allowing slight adjustment of the speaker when mounted.

StampCast Basket: The T1675-S features StampCast steel baskets for added rigidity.

Multi-OEM Adapter: For mounting flexibility, the included brackets can be modified to fit 5x7, 6x8, or 6x9 applications.

Note: The bracket is generic (cutout sized for a 5-1/4) and requires modification before the T1675-S will fit into it.

Mounting: The 1" treated cloth dome tweeters have multiple mounting configurations; choose flush or surface mount. The surface mount housing can be positioned at two angles, approximately 10° or 30° angle. Depending on the mount used, the installed dimensions are:

  Flush Surface 10° Surface 30°
Mounting Height 0.40" 1.060" 1.25"
Mounting Depth 0.912" Screw Depth Screw Depth
Frame Diameter 2.357" N/A N/A
Cutout Diameter 1.75" N/A N/A
Frame Width N/A 2.130" 2.130"
Frame Depth N/A 2.157" 2.153"

Tweeter Level: A switch on the side of each crossover allows you to adjust the output level of the tweeters to -2 dB, 0 dB, or +2 dB.

Tweeter Axis: Another switch on each crossover adjusts the tweeter output for on axis or off axis placement.

Bi-amp: The crossovers have discrete inputs for the woofer and tweeter, along with a bi-amp on/off switch, so each component can be powered by an individual amplifier channel.

Wiring: The crossover inputs and outputs are set screw clamps; they will accept bare wire up to 12-gauge.

Crossover Dimensions:

  • Width: 4-5/8"
  • Height: 1-3/8"
  • Depth: 4-5/8"

Customer Q&A

21 questions already asked

Q
Are there specs available for the individual components of this system? Like what are the frequency filters on the crossovers? And what are the frequency ranges and sensitivities of the individual speakers?
jacob  Jun 14, 2023
1 answer
A
The included crossovers are set at 3k Hz for both woofer and tweeter. The included tweeter in this system is the T1T-S, which has a rated 3k - 22k Hz. A frequency response range is not available for the woofer independently, but we know that the lowest rated frequency is 55 Hz. Similarly, sensitivity for the woofer is not measured independently, but the tweeter sensitivity is 90 dB.

what 4 channel amp would be good to pair with this?

I have 2 pair running on the Rockford Fosgate T600-4 MONSTROUS
chris  Apr 29, 2023

4-channel amps that provide up to 100-watts RMS can be used here with the fantastic Rockford Fosgate T1675-S component speakers, Nicholas. The Kicker 46CXA360.4T 4-channel amp in the first link below delivers 65x4 and is a great performer. If you wanted more power, you could also use the Rockford Fosgate Power T400x4 amp in the second link, this would pump you up to 4x100-watts. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_20646CX36T/Kicker-46CXA360-4T.html https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575T400X4A/Rockford-Fosgate-Power-T400X4ad.html

Q
I see input (tweeter/woofer) and output (tweeter/woofer). I have 2 wires coming from my amp...where do the 2 wires from my amp go into if there are 4 openings? I know tweeter goes to tweeter and woofer goes to woofer output. I'm lost...lol!!!
sean  Oct 10, 2022
1 answer
A
According to the owner's manual (copy can be downloaded using the link found in the What's in the Box section of this webpage), you must make sure the bi-amp switch is set off and use the tweeter input to run both the tweeter and woofer from one amp channel. If you purchased the gear from us, you can contact our technical support for help ensuring you get this properly set up.

Q
Iâ??m a complete idiot. A novice at best. All I know is what I like. Clear, clean sound, not overwhelming bass. Natural. Is this right for me?
jeffrey  Aug 28, 2022
1 answer
A
If these physically fit in your ride Jeffrey I think they are a great choice! These Rockford Fosgate T1675-S components are truly impressive. They do have a treated fabric tweeter that will be smooth on cymbals and hi hats playback, and I would consider these a very natural sounding speaker. These also work well on radio power or an amplifier, so they give you a ton of options for down the road too! I think they are a solid call!

Q
Where would the amps be installed on a 2022 Silverado 1500 Custom model? I'm also trying to find out if these will fit since I don't even see "2022" in the drop-down list. What size speakers do I have with a non-Bose system?

Installing in a 2020 Subaru Outback.Crossover came with this system, but is it needed for install with stock stereo? Assuming not, since stock unit/amp would have crossovers already, but anybody know for sure?

Q
What speaker wire gauge do i need? Will 18GA speed wire work running from amp 75RMS per channel?
timofey  Apr 06, 2021
1 answer
A
18 gauge is too small for just about any length that is needed to install a setup like this one. Typically, 16 or 14 gauge wire is used. I recommend contacting an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to get help selecting the right gauge for your installation plans.

You do not have to use 2 amplifiers, you can choose single or double amplifier
matt  Nov 30, 2020

They come with active cross overs and only require 1 input signal to feed both drivers from the cross over.
benny  Nov 30, 2020

No need to Bi Amp. I ran these as stock replacement in my Tundra (non JBL).

If I'm not wrong I believe that it doesn't come with speaker wire from what I remember
lorenzo  Jul 04, 2020

Unless you ordered speaker wire as part of your order, then it does not come with. I have found it extremely helpful to call. The reps are very good at making sure you have everything you need. Additionally, they can build your order and then you just need to review and place it. As far as the product, those speakers were fantastic.

Coming from somone who has purchased many sets of rockford component speakers they never come with wire
matthew harold  Jul 03, 2020

you have to provide your own speaker wire there was two leads off of each Tweeter. The door speakers just half the male pieces

Q
Do these have to be connected to an Amp? Or can they go straight from the receiver?
miguel  Jul 03, 2020

A
The can be run from your receiver and sound just fine. But running then to an amp will make them come alive. Theyll sound great either way though.
brian  Jul 03, 2020
A
I have them connected to Rockford Fosgate amp's but I don't see why they wouldn't sound good being connected to the aftermarket receiver like the Kenwood receiver I installed in my vehicle. Hope this helps I'm not a professional installer but crutchfield has some flaws instructions.

Q
Is there any way to modify these speakers to fit in my lower front doors of my 2005 Impala?
brad w.  Oct 17, 2019
2 answers
A
Hi Brad, thank you for your question! It is best that you speak with an Advisor via online chat, or by phone at 1-800-324-9695 for further assistance with your question on fitment. This will ensure that we have the proper vehicle information pulled up. Looks like there are several different options regarding the factory gear, that we would need to confirm that you did or didn't have before we could check out the true fitment information on these. Any of our amazing team of skilled Advisors will be happy to help you out!
jessica  Oct 24, 2019 (Staff)
A
If I'm not mistaken, you shouldn't need any modifications. At the most, you may need an adapter, but they are cheap and sometimes included with purchase on Crutchfield.

Q
can these be ran active?
ethan  Apr 27, 2019
2 answers
A
Yes
jason  Apr 27, 2019
A
Technically, any speaker system can be run in an active speaker system. If you are asking whether these come with an internal amplifier, the answer is no. If you are asking whether you can run this speaker system off of your existing stereos internal amplifier, it depends on the power of said amplifier. I would not use this speaker system with any less than 20 W RMS.

Yes. If you dont have a stock location for them they can be surface mounted and come with all the brackets needed.
tony  Mar 31, 2019

They can be surface mounted or hidden behind factory tweeter locations in vehicle . We used our in the factory location in a 2013 Toyota Tacoma front door .

Q
The only reason im looking to replace the aftermarket 6x9 3 ways i currently have in my front doors is to get more bass, will these do the job?
timothy  Jun 03, 2018
2 answers
A
They sound great but will definitely not do the job of a subwoofer
taylor  Jun 03, 2018
A
Not necessarily. These woofers are smaller than your 6x9s, so they physically can't produce more bass unless you add more power. However, door speakers rarely produce good bass without sealing the door panels. I recommend dynamating your doors and going from there. Without sealing the doors, you'll likely get better sound, with tighter bass, but not much in the way of air movement.
