Injection-Molded Woofers: The woofer cones are injection-molded
carbon fiber filled polypropylene. This molding process assures a uniform cone
thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also light weight and rigid
for decreased distortion and improved bass response.
Butyl Rubber Surrounds: The butyl rubber surrounds dampen
unwanted harmonic distortion while maintaining linear geometry under extreme
weather conditions. This leads to less distortion, superior frequency response,
and superior durability.
VAST Surround: The Vertical Attach Surround Technique (VAST)
increases a speaker's effective radiating cone area without increasing the size
of the basket.
FlexFit: The Flex Fit frame utilizes slots (where possible)
instead of single screw sized holes; allowing slight adjustment of the speaker
StampCast Basket: The T1675-S features StampCast steel baskets
for added rigidity.
Multi-OEM Adapter: For mounting flexibility, the included
brackets can be modified to fit 5x7, 6x8, or 6x9 applications.
Note: The bracket is generic (cutout
sized for a 5-1/4) and requires modification before the
T1675-S will fit into it.
Mounting: The 1" treated cloth dome tweeters have multiple
mounting configurations; choose flush or surface mount. The surface mount housing can
be positioned at two angles, approximately 10° or 30° angle. Depending on the mount
used, the installed dimensions are:
Tweeter Level: A switch on the side of each crossover allows
you to adjust the output level of the tweeters to -2 dB, 0 dB, or +2 dB.
Tweeter Axis: Another switch on each crossover adjusts the
tweeter output for on axis or off axis placement.
Bi-amp: The crossovers have discrete inputs for the woofer
and tweeter, along with a bi-amp on/off switch, so each component can be powered
by an individual amplifier channel.
Wiring: The crossover inputs and outputs are set screw clamps;
they will accept bare wire up to 12-gauge.
