Great while it lasted

Written By Alan, Dartmouth, MA on Wednesday, October 26, 2011

I used this card in my Kodak Zi8. It worked great, although a little extra speed would have been nice. While recording 720p 60fps, I noticed every so often a few frames would be dropped. But that can be expected by a card of only class 4 speed. After not using my camera a while, I decided to pick it back up, and when my camera started, it froze. When I put a different card in, my camera worked just fine. But it just baffles me that it would just break like that.

Pros: Price, Capacity, Ease of use

Cons: Dropped frames here and there, it broke

Very Slow

Written By pennolee, East Coast on Monday, May 10, 2010

I got this because it was a "Staff Pick". What staff member picked this? Did they even use it? This card takes eons to transfer data. I bought it thinking the Class 4 speed would be enough, but it is not. For example, I put around 8GB worth of pictures on the card in about a week of travels this April and it took hours to write to my computer... hours.I would hate to have to transfer all 32GB at one time! I called and Crutchfield's staff did not know what to tell me other than that I could pay more for a class 6 card! Anyway I researched it more and Class 4 is really slow to write data, last time I get one of these. Must get a Class 10 to do what I need to do.

Fast Card

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this with a Panasonic Lumix ZR3 and it's a good match. Very fast writing speed, even with hi-def video (720p). After filming 3-5 minutes of video, it only takes a couple of seconds to write and it's done. And now it's 30% cheaper than when I bought it.
Recommended.
