Construction: The TiVo Wireless G USB Network Adapter features a brushed metal base and flip-up antenna with TiVo badge.  The flip-up antenna should form a 90-degree angle with the base (this is the best angle for wireless performance).

DVR Compatibility: The TiVo Wireless G USB Network Adapter is compatible with the TiVo Premiere and TiVo Premiere XL. The compatible TiVo DVR must have software version 7.2.1 or higher installed (available for download at Tivo.com).

Note: A second Tivo DVR with a TiVo Wireless G USB Network Adapter is needed for peer-to-peer connection.

Network Requirements: The TiVo Wireless G USB Network Adapter requires an 802.11b or 802.11g router/access point for connection to your home network. The TiVo Wireless G Network Adapter can be used on networks that have WEP security, WPA security, or WPA-2 (Personal) security.

Note: Not intended to be plugged directly into a PC or Mac.

The TiVo Wireless G USB Network Adapter then connects to your wireless home network via WiFi (802.11g/b).

Guided Setup: Once connected, follow your compatible TiVo DVR's on-screen Guided Setup to configure your system's network settings.

Light Indicator: The TiVo Wireless G USB Network Adapter features a green light to indicate power and link status.

Power Requirements: The TiVo Wireless G USB Network Adapter uses the USB connection of your compatible network-ready TiVo DVR for power.

Cool way to add Tivo to your home network

Written By Sue-Rae, New York, NY on Tuesday, January 18, 2011

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Both of our machines are using the TiVo® Wireless G Network Adapter. It was a snap to install, just plugged in, used the on screen menu to connect to the network and enter the password. We love the flexibility of network connectivity which allows us manage up coming recordings and view our play lists remotely. The only reason I have not given this product a higher rating, is because we have experienced some minor issues when transferring programs from one Tivo to another over our home network.
