Here's an affordable Harmony remote for folks with only four or fewer components hooked in their entertainment system. Like all Harmony remotes, it's easy to use and easy to set up, making TV-viewing a hassle-free experience.

Easy access to the functions you need
The Harmony 300 has a dedicated "Watch TV" button that'll turn on your TV, cable box, and whatever other component you need to start watching television — all at the press of a single button. It also has five programmable buttons that allow you to personalize the remote for the functions you use the most. You can program your favorite channels to one or all of the five buttons, or assign functions like switching the screen size or accessing video-on-demand content.

Program your remote easily over the web
Connect your Harmony remote to your computer with the supplied USB cable to get started. Go to the Harmony Remote website and answer a few simple questions about your components and how they're set up. When you're done, the site automatically programs your remote accordingly. Best for the money

Written By Scott, Las Vegas, NV on Monday, March 14, 2011

I bought this remote for about $40 to control a DTV DVR, a Samsung TV, and a
Sony 5.1 home theater system. It can be used for my PS3 if I purchase an
additional adapter, but not worth the cost for frugal ole me.

The remote is programmed using your computer and an online application. The
software can a little difficult to get used to at first (although I admittedly
did not read the instructions on the site). However, in about 5 minutes I could
navigate everything with ease. You can easily customize the buttons as per your
liking and the remote will 'learn' from your other remotes as well.

Very easy to set up and very effective...especially for the cost. I recommend
the product.

All in one

For the low budget model, I am impressed. It can be programmed to do most things on
any unit. I'm still learning how to get the maximum from it, but would recommend to

Nice remote

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Love the easy setup. Just had the computer do all the work. Nice not having to look anything
up. Incredible it was able to find settings aiming the remotes at each other for signal to be
sent to computer. Great technology and easy to use.

Logitech® Harmony® 300

Written By Jamie, Forest, VA on Sunday, May 02, 2010

It's nice to find a product that does what it advertises. This replaced my TV, DirecTv, dvd, and soundbar remotes. Total setup was less than 5 minutes. The one drawback in no backlit display but look at the price. Easy to operate and designed very similar to a DVR remote.
