Enjoy exceptionally simple operation of your home theater system with the Harmony One. This remote's color touchscreen clearly displays common activities, like "watch TV" or "listen to music." When you select an activity, such as watching a DVD, the remote instantly evaluates your system, turns on or off the appropriate components, selects the proper settings, and starts the DVD player.

Ergonomic design for easier navigation
The remote's contoured shape fits naturally in the palm of your hand for comfortable operation. Its backlit controls are logically and neatly arranged, so it's easy to find the button you're looking for. And the buttons are sculpted, so you can distinguish them by feel without having to look at the remote.

Easy, web-based programming
Harmony's online wizard makes set up a snap. Just plug the remote into your computer with the provided USB cable, visit Harmony's website, and answer some simple questions about your system. That's it — the setup wizard automatically downloads the necessary codes and programs the remote for you. The site remembers your settings, too, so it's easy to reprogram the Harmony One later if you change or add components.

Overview: The Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote provides simple, intuitive control of even the most elaborate entertainment system for anyone in the family. The remote setup is accomplished through Harmony's interactive web site. The Harmony One Remote can control up to 15 devices, including home automation devices such as light and climate controllers.

Setup: The Harmony Remote Activities are configured through unique Web Wizard tools on HarmonyRemote.com. Using Logitech's Smart State Database of over 225,000 electronic devices from over 5,000 manufacturers, you can easily customize the remote to your system. The database, together with IR learning, ensures support of all infrared-controlled devices made by any manufacturer, including Televisions, A/V Receivers, Cable/Satellite Boxes, VCRs, DVD Players, CD Players, Game Consoles, Mini Systems, Computers, and Home Automation devices.

Learning Function: In addition to the devices which can be entered using the web interface, this remote can also learn most functions of other infrared remotes.

Full-Color Touch Screen: The Harmony One's full-color touch screen gives you easy, one-touch access to any entertainment activity such as watching a DVD, watching TV, or listening to music.

Sculpted Backlit Buttons: The Harmony One sculpted backlit buttons allow you to easily operate the remote in the dark, while its ergonomic design allows the unit to fit comfortably in your hand.

Lithium-Ion Battery/Recharging Docking Station: The Harmony One Pro includes a removable rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, which provides up to a one-week charge under normal use. The remote comes with a docking station that keeps the remote fully charged. Because the docking station is horizontal, it allows the remote to be used while charging.

One-Touch Operation: The Harmony One uses Activity Control to give you one-touch control of your entertainment system. You can use one of the touch-screen's Activity buttons to power on your TV, Blu-ray player, A/V receiver, set all your inputs and even activate play without having to program time consuming macros. Once all of your equipment is "on", the buttons on the remote are also automatically configured for the appropriate operation

Help: If you have a problem completing an activity function, the help button will guide you through the fix using the interactive multi-color display. The remote will ask a series of questions, such as "Is the TV on?" or "Is the volume turned up?" in order to troubleshoot the problem and correct it.

Flash Memory: The settings are stored in a non-volatile flash memory so they will never be lost, even when the battery needs charging.

System Off: One push of the off button turns off all the equipment in your system.

Universal Remote

Written By Perk, Medford, NJ on Friday, October 26, 2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Works as advertised, more intuitive than the 880 remote I have. Touchscreen is nice. Occaisonally misses a command, and have to adjust aim of remote. Easily programmed, although I had to contact tech support to program a specialized command. They were up to the task, fortunately.

Pros: Works 99% of the time. Intuitive interface.

Cons: A bit pricey.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Use it all the time as the easiest way to manage a multicomponent TV/Music setup. (HDTV, Amp, TiVo, etc.)

Pros: Easy to setup. Did so once and haven't attached it to my computer since. Worked fine with a Mac by the way. Was surprised how well it works with TiVo. I don't bother with the TiVo remote.

Cons: Would like to see even more customizable for automatic sound fields, etc.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

After too many complaints from the spouse on the number of remotes, and steps required to change from TV to Blue-Ray, etc I finally broke down and bought the Harmony One. It arrived yesterday evening, and I had it up and running in under 30 minutes after gathering the equipment model numbers. I have had to go back a few times to tweak little things that I didn't like the first go around (like Amp/Receiver turning off - I like to leave mine on) - but navigating the set-up is quick and simple via the PC application. I was aslo able to program/add-in several features from my Amp/Receiver remote that were not there the first time through. Now, I have one remote - the rest are in storage and life on the couch is peaceful for all. I wish I had gotten this years ago, but so happy I have it now. Works great with DirecTV DVR as well - even with all of the short-cut buttons and apps.

Pros: easy, customizable to fit your needs, went from 5 remotes to 1, and the wife loves it.

Cons: seems a little light in weight to me - I like a more sturdy remote, and finger prints as others have mentioned.

Fine remote

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The main thing I liked I was able to download all my settings from my Harmony Remote 520..saved a lot time. Not a big fan of the touch screen..I like regular buttons, because you can "memorize" them..and press the appropiate button, with the touch screen you have to look at the screen...

Pros: Easy setup

Cons: Touchscreen...the latest fad...not very useful because you have to look everytime...to use it..

Harmony One - A Great Product

Written By Keith S, Arizona on Wednesday, March 28, 2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

PLEASE go to Logitech.com and read my review under the Harmony One remote REVIEWS area. Look for the name "Keith S" and location "Arizona". My review is far to extensive to post here at Crutchfield due to a limited number of available characters. It is both valuable and worth the effort to go there and read it.

Pros: Ergonomic, software programming is "relatively" easy, can learn programming from other remotes, rechargeable battery, Crutchfield provides a 60 day "no question" return policy.

Cons: Needs to have a dedicated "decimal" key (for inputting digital channels manually,) the shiny surface shows hand oils easily, which is really there with textured remotes too, you just don't "see" this with non-shiny surfaces. But - it is a good reminder to "wipe-er-down" occasionally.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This thing is awesome! all buttons can be organized exactly how you want them! labeling each button so my wife can understand is a life saver! I have a Denon amplifier,xbox360,jvc vcr, sony dvd carousel, dish network pvr, and a playstation 3. The only piece that needed an adaptor was the ps3. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to get rid of 6 remotes!

Pros: fully customizable. addind family pictures as screen saver...

Cons: could use a long lasting battery. vey slick in dry hands. rubber back should cover entire back side.

Great Programmable Remote

Written By Dan2e, WIlmington, DE on Sunday, February 12, 2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have had previous programmable remotes, including from Logitech and this one finally did the trick. The programming could not be easier. I initially used the programming wizard to do my setup and then went back and was able to make the modifications I wanted. Took less than 30 minutes from opening the box until watching TV, TiVO, DVDs, etc. Only think I wish is that I had more control over naming the Activities, but that is just a cosmetic issue. My electronically challenged wife is now able to control and work the entertainment systemand she is very happy the four remotes that were on the coffee table are now down to a femail-approved one.

Pros: Easy setup, easy to customize Rechargable battery

Cons: Would like to be able to add customizable button / graphis lables to the touchscreen

Pros: real easy touch screen goog sensitivity

Cons: not any right now but have'nt gotten into much custom srttings yet

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Hardware buttons were very unresponsive, and didn't always turn my cable box off when it was supposed to. Also the required software to program the remote is not compatible with 64-bit versions of Mac OSX, I had to borrow a friends computer to set it up. Too many flaws for such an expensive remote so I sent it back.

Pros: Had codes for all devices I own, comcast box, onkyo receiver, xbox360, apple tv2

Cons: Buttons on remote were very unresponsive. Software not compatible with latest Mac OSX and hasen't been for quite a while according to their forums.

does what it says

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

very nice product that does what it says once you get it set up. took a little while to get there as the software is not the most intuitive, but now that i'm there it definitely helped to clean up my previous 5-remote situation. the only thing i can't get set up well is the samsung smart-tv control. i've managed to program custom buttons for this, but they are awkward at best so i still pull out the qwerty samsung remote if i'm using this function a lot.

Pros: reclaim your living room from excessive remote controls. software is workable with patience. custom buttons allow for workarounds when standard buttons don't cut it.

Cons: not designed with advanced tv features like smart-tv and audio-return-channel in mind. battery life not great. software not the most intuitive. lots of bells-and-whistles for live-tv viewers (i don't know any) like custom channel icons.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This has got to be the best money that I have spent on my home theater. Push one button for TV, a different one for Blu-Ray DVD and another one for my son's gaming consoles. It is that simple. Super easy to program and use; replaced separate remotes for the Blu-Ray, 3-D TV, Receiver and the Cable box. Bought another one for my other son and his Bride-to-be. One of their favorite gifts so far!

Pros: Easy to program; easy to use; replaces four other remotes

Cons: NONE

I liked it so much I bought one for my Dad!

Written By Dave R, Cleveland OH on Monday, January 23, 2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased the Logitech Harmony One for myself in the past and really liked the way it worked. To me it was a great way to get rid of five battery hungry remote controls. The only regret I had with my first purchase was not buying it through Crutchfield. For the enthusiast down to the new guy on the block - Crutchfield's tech support is bar-none best. Anyway - I bought a second remote for my father and his is supported through Crutchfield.

Pros: Easily rechargeable in it's cradle. Easy to control several devices at once. When I turn on the TV it controls the receiver volume and the satellite for channels (exactly as I set it up).

Cons: I have uploaded the proper remotes but didn't figure out how to update the time and date. When I went looking all I saw were options for 2009, 2010 & 2011. I haven't plugged it in to my computer so all is not lost. Hey this is a great remote - not too many cons!

Great remote until the screen dies

Written By RobertB, San Antonio, TX. on Monday, January 09, 2012

Great remote as long as it holds up. Mine is only a year and a half old and I already had to replace a bloated battery, now the screen has gone out. I found out through the Logitech website I am not alone on this problem. Many others have had the same problem and and being out of warranty all Logitech will offer me is a 50% off coupon for a new unit. They say they can't fix the problem I will just have to buy a new unit. With all of the complaints on this problem to Logitech they know they have a problem but will not stand behind their product. Oh and don't forget about their extra charge for tech support on the phone only to be told there is nothing they can do. Buyer beware.

Pros: Easy to program

Cons: It has an hardware problem. Screen dies

the only remote you need

Written By Jeff M, Allen, OK on Saturday, November 05, 2011

Everything runs through a home theater receiver and the wife and kids would have to ask which remote and what button they would have to hit to do some thing. Now all they have to do is grab one remote and push an activity ie, watch TV, play a game, watch a DVD. It works with my Direct TV great. Plus you can set it up with activites such as watch TV without surround sound. I highly recommend this universal remote. The setup is extremely easy just get the make and model number of your equipment and plug the remote into the computer and follow the instructions on the screen.

Pros: It combined four remotes into one

harmony one

Written By Dr. T., Boca Raton, Fl on Thursday, October 20, 2011

I was very frustrated with the universal remote that came with my comcast dvr. I could program it to turn on my onkyo sound system but it wouldn't turn it off. Onkyo, Comcast, Scientific Atlanta and Crutchfield really couldn't help. I had to use multiple remotes. The Harmony one was $120 less than the top of the line model. It allows me 3 separate options for my Onkyo, power on, power off or power toggle. Programing was a little confusing at first but go slowly and it is done. It does much more than I thought it would and is very user friendly.

Wanna feel stupid and helpless?

Written By BobR, New York, NY on Sunday, September 11, 2011

I generally just plug things in and figure out how to make them work, but I was very respectful with the Harmony One. After carefully watching the Logitech video, carefully reading the printed instructions, programming and then hoping that the device would "learn" from the repeated "corrections," I called Logitech support. Logitech support couldn't be more helpful and couldn't be more helpless. "Gosh, that's one we haven't seen before" is a tech support statement that doesn't raise hopes or confidence. I guess I'll have to call Crutchfield to make it work. The two and a half hours I've wasted amounts to WAY more annoyance than I experienced from having to press buttons on a few remotes. I think our Western civilization may be doomed.

Way better than my old Universal Brand Remote

Written By Twilkos, Connecticut on Saturday, September 10, 2011

The Harmony One blows away my old Universal MX 450 remote. It does exactly what I programed it to do. Turn on TV, and it turns on. Turn on DVD and same thing, it turns on. I wish I purchased the Harmoney One a few years ago instead of suffering with my old remote.

Awesome Remote!!!

Written By Mark P., Bronx,N.Y. on Monday, September 05, 2011

The remote is truly amazing in combining all remote functions in one!!! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it turned on the same brand receiver at the same time(Onkyo). The fix to the problem was to upgrade my remote to the 900. .Crutchfield advisors are incredibly helpful and patient with your questions about your product. Also, Crutchfield is probably the best online electronic depot there is!!! I am a customer for life!

Long-Time Harmony User

Written By Justin, Baltimore, MD on Thursday, June 30, 2011

I'm a long-time Logitech Harmony user starting with a "520" then upgrading to an "880" and most recently a "Harmony One." For me, it's a necessary product with a home theater system. My wife loves it because the coffee table is not cluttered with five remotes. She can use all of the home theater capabilities by pressing usually just one button, e.g., Watch a DVD, Listen to Pandora, etc. I don't have to worry about her ( or me) pressing the wrong buttons on the original OEM remotes and messing up a configuration.

A Harmony is relatively easy to program once you get the hang of it. You do need to read the instructions, take your time, and allot thirty minutes for the process the first time.

My only complaint is the buttons on the "520" and "880" wore out too soon (three years) requiring an extra firm press or a second press. Hopefully, the Harmony One lasts longer.

Great remote! Pretty easy to use.

Written By JoeP, Warren, MI on Wednesday, June 29, 2011

The Harmony One is even better than my old Harmony remote that was finally put to rest. The website updated the One based on my existing configuration and actually set it up even better! Just needs a couple small tweaks.

My only complaint would be that the keys look too much alike. Some basic color coding would have helped to differentiate, especially in the dark when it glows. But I'm not complaining! The Harmony One is worth every penny! The touch screen even displays some graphics that match my cable DVR remote... sweet!

No brainer

Written By Chris C, Tampa, FL on Sunday, June 05, 2011

Previously had a universal remote that required a PHD to set up and add new devices. This thing is a dream. I read the directions, which were close, and got most of my system working more or less correctly. In the cases where I got it a bit off, the remote asked "is everything working?" If I said no, it would troubleshoot things until, every time, it worked correctly, all without getting out of my command Lazyboy. It does everything I want, and I have a sophisticated complicated home theater. I would definitely but this remote again.

Simplicity in Use

Written By JS, Seattle, WA on Saturday, May 28, 2011

Takes a little bit of time to get set up and learn the quirks of the remote setup software. But once you have all your devices loaded, activities programmed, sequenced and synched to the remote, you are in control of all your audio/video needs with one remote. Good battery life in between charges as well. Only one small complaint and that is the "clipart" available for the different activity functions. They are limited and not the most creative in design, otherwise, highly recommended for clearing the coffee table of all your remotes. Use the iconharmony website to download great network symbols clipart for your "favorite" channel buttons on the LCD touch screen.

Love the Logitech Harmony One

Written By Greg J, Dallas, TX on Wednesday, May 18, 2011

I'm not very technical nor am I patient Much to my delight the Harmony One
was a snap to set up. And it works to control my devices (Panasonic plasma TV,
Denon receiver, Panasonic BluRay player and Roku) perfectly. If I mess
something up the Harmoney One immediately helps correct the situation. All in
one device that's simple to use.

Down to One Remote; so far so very good

Written By David, Pittsburgh on Monday, May 02, 2011

Totally fed-up with 5 remotes I sprung for the Harmony One; I experienced some major programming issues (two calls to Logitech's Help Desk) but once done the ease of use is amazing. Pick it up, press Activities and then press Watch TV and my cable HD box comes on, my TV comes on and my receiver switches from Tuner to CBL/SAT and my speakers come on. The programming is not intuitive: when asked if I had the original remotes for each component of course I selected YES. I was told by Help Desk that I should have selected NO. When asked details about each component I selected TV HDD since I have an LG LE 8500. I was told I should have selected TV. Go figure. Once resolved everything works fine. Set aside a good hour for programming just in case. The techies are foreign and I had some language problems so keep you background distractions to a minimum. They were very polite and efficient.

My wife likes our home theatre system...finally!

Written By MikeO, Brodhead, WI on Friday, April 15, 2011

I have to admit I was skeptical of this universal remote's ability, but I trusted
Matt during our phone conversation, and went ahead with the purchase. I am
sure glad I did. Before we were always switching our cable remote back and
forth to change the volume on the receiver. It was a nightmare to explain to a
guest how to run the remote! Programming the Harmoney was as slick as
following the prompts on my laptop. And the one button that wasn't available
through the software (watch MyDVR from the Charter remote) was easily
programmed by pointing the old remote at the back of the Harmony so it could
learn the code wirelessly! This was the best money I've ever spent on my
home entertainment system and wish I would have done it much sooner!

as easy as can be.

Software makes for difficult programming

Written By Lazerama, Wisconsin on Sunday, April 03, 2011

I took the remote back. The software for the remote was too dumbed-down. The software will not give me enough manual control to set my components in the way I need. If I try to divert away from the automatic setups, the software becomes very ambiguous and non-descript. Although I know exactly what functions I want the remote to perform, the software becomes extremely over-bearing and shunts me into an automated loop that becomes very frustrating and time-consuming. The fixes recommended in the tech support emails are very non-intuitive and still do not give me the proper functionality. I also cannot afford to wait days at a time to receive work-arounds from tech support. If the software was more descript and intuitive I wouldn't have to continuously contact tech support.

Bottom-line, this could be a decent remote if not for the software. A remote that should have taken an hour to program has now taken weeks. If all I wanted was to allow the software to decide how to setup the remote, I may as well purchase a cheap $20 all-in-one remote that doesn't allow me much more functionality than this remote.

This is my second Harmony 1. The first one still works, but the screen
cracked very easily and can't be viewed. If the screen was more durable, I

is a must have.

I bought this remote thinking it was going to solve all my problems. It would make me rich and smart. To program it was not hard. It took a couple of times to set it up right. The problem I have with it is that it reboots if you set it down to hard or the "wrong" way. Not very durable at all.

I fought buying one of these because I thought one universal remote was as
good as another but I was sadly mistaken. This remote is well worth the price.
I am amazed by the capabilities and all the steps this remote saves me. Set
up was easy for me but may challenge some since everything is not intuitive in
the instructions but a little tinkering will have you well on your way.

This remote packs a ton of function, but it seems a little slow to respond to inputs.
Once it's caught up, it works well (surfing channels etc), but powering up and
powering down the system, and changing activities takes longer than it should in my
opinion. The versatility is great and it's easy to program. If it were a little quicker I
would have given it 5 stars. Since I picked it up, I haven't heard my wife complain
once that she couldn't figure out how to turn the TV on - well worth the price just
for that feature. The playstation functionality is also preprogrammed, but requires
additional hardware to communicate...unfortunately.

One remote.... REALLY!!

Pulled the trigger on the Denon AVR. My new video system includes DirecTV DVR,
Sony BluRay, and an AppleTV. Video is displayed on a Vizio 55".

HARMONY ONE TAMED IT ALL: One other gadget that I got to help everything go
smoothly was a Harmony ONE remote control. I was able to set up 5 activities,
two of which are specialized to running video with the denon on standby allowing
signal to pass through. The Harmony makes everything work great and I can get
by with one remote for real. Here's the best part - I don't have any other
remotes around for 'special" function activity. If something weird happens I
don't need to fish for the genuine device remote in the basket - no, the
Harmony ONE has configurable soft key device keys for every piece of equipment
in your theater group. This thing works. It's for real!

I feel the remote is kind of pricey, but the product does it all!

Take The Plunge

Written By TimR, Portland, OR on Tuesday, March 08, 2011

I was nervous to buy after reading some reviews about difficulty with setup. It
turned out that any computer literate and reasonably astute audio / videophile
could do it easily. This remote is not perfect, I doubt perfection exists, but it
nearly saved my marriage. Would have, too, if my marriage had really needed
saving. My wife always was mad at me because she couldn't fathom the
complexities of our home theater setup with 9 input devices to one TV. Now
she doesn't have to as the Harmony does it all. And its help feature does the
rest whenever small inconsistencies arise. Bravo!

SWEET, less than an hour and I had it programed, controlling 6 activity's with no problems. Less than an hour the next day and I had it custom tailored for my own personal taste, complete with slide show. Does everything they claim.

Wow really easy! No problems, works great. I would reccomend this device.

This is a much better device than the older harmony remote I replaced. The old one used a
lot of batteries and when they were changed it took the device a long time to adjust.
This device has the rechargeable cradle. The Harmony "One" is a much better device and
transitions smoothly between activities in a much more efficient manner.

Good unit to control all components

Written By Jeff O, East Moline Il. on Friday, February 18, 2011

I ordered this product for one reason. That one reason was to control ALL of my
components. I am a handicapped individual, with limited range of motion, so using six
different remotes was not a option. One universal remote was just what I wanted. The
instructions were all pretty simple. It just will take you a little time to gather up all the
model numbers, and manufacturer names of your components before you start. Then of
course you will need a computer connected to the internet. After you do all that, it really
was pretty easy. If you can read and follow instructions you will do just fine. Be patient
and take your time. This remote even works on my twelve year old Samsung four head
VCR , that I had lost the remote to three years ago. This product is really amazing! You
may still have to do some "tweeking", but it sure beats using a whole fist full of
remotes.I would highly recomend this unit to people who want to control a lot of
components using one remote. The "touch screen" is really handy. Allthough there may
still be some compatibility issues with the program CD when using Windows 7 (That is
why only a four star rating), I would still say this unit is a winner in my book. Good job

Remote take over

Written By Bill, Indianapolis, In on Thursday, February 17, 2011

I was taken over by six different remotes, cable box, big sreen, reciever, Blue Ray, DVR,
DVD and fearfull of trying to program them into a all into one remote.....
But purched the Harmony One and gave it a try. True to my fears It did not turn things on
correctly. I fouled things up trying to answer the easy to follow question about my
system. Looked things over again and found a mistake and tryed it again. Being fearfull
of what might happen next . To my surprise every thing work great . It is a very easy
system to program and the help button is very usefull . I gave this review a good five star.
Thanks Logitech for the easy to progam Harmony One....

Great but requires learning curve

Written By Marshall, NC on Wednesday, February 16, 2011

Great flexible home remote. Able to setup fairly easy except for my PVR (Time Warner).
Called Harmony Tech. Svc. and specialist was very knowledgeable and downloaded
solution directly to my Harmony while hooked to my Mac. There is learning curve and would
be better if one reads all the instructions (not my strength).

Overall, very pleased and have been longtime customer of Logitech and Crutchfield

The Harmony One was a breeze to set up and program. It pulled my receiver, TV, Cable
and DVD up on the web site in just a few moments. This remote has every feature that
the original component remotes have, including features my last universal remote did
not carry over. It is lightweight, easy to use in the dark and has an awesome help
function right on the remote!

Multi-capable device

Written By schreib3, Bainbridge Island, WA on Thursday, February 10, 2011

It is possible in time that this device will allow me to pitch the four remotes I depended on -
and which my wife hated. That time is not here yet. While I've been very pleased with the
patience and skill of the support staff, there are actions, which may be within it's capabilities,
that I've not yet even asked it to perform. Recording and playing back recordings from my
cable company-supplied PVR for example. I will make a second call to be adivised, and I
trust the help will be friendly and knowledgable. The problem may well be my own, but I
would not describe the teaching of this device with the word intuitive. What it already
performs though has made my wife far happier. It's a very smart device; it takes a while to
learn it. But help is available.

Worth the Investment

Written By Lonestarbill, Houston, TX on Thursday, February 10, 2011

After endless nagging from my spouse about having to work four different remotes to
run the entertainment center, I finally broke down and purchased the Harmony One over
the holidays although I had my doubts about how well it would work. But to my great
surprise it has worked great!! The installation and set-up went smoothly and the
operation has been spot on in terms of not only automatically configuring each device
but in also providing all of the control features of the remotes it replaced. Definitely
worth the price, especially if you are in need of "domestic harmony" in addition to the
technical ops.

Great product

Written By GregW, Ashburn, VA on Monday, February 07, 2011

The Harmony one is a great product. Surprisingly simple to set up and the one touch
"activities" have made it easy enough for my kids to turn on a projector, DVD player, and
receiver without help.

My only gripe is that I often have to navigate to different devices to activate the functional
parts of the remote. For example, if I don't use the pre-programmed activities I need to keep
navigating to the Receiver device so that the volume control works. I want the volume
control to always control the receiver, no matter what .

Logitech® Harmony® One

Written By MikeL, Round Lake Beach, IL on Sunday, February 06, 2011

The Logitech Harmony One has made it much easier for everyone in the family to be able
to watch TV, play a DVD, or record to a DVD. Before it took 3-4 remote controls to
manage all of the electronics and for my wife it was so confusing she refused to do
anything but watch TV. Now with touching a single button on the touch screen of the
Harmony One everything adjust automatically. At times, the adjustments don't always
work the first time but by following the Help prompts it makes the necessary corrections.
My only regret is that I had purchased one sooner.

An excellent device.

It is the best gadget I havd ever had, intuitive and very easy to use.

Almost perfect...but

Written By Shawn, Corpus Christi, TX on Saturday, February 05, 2011

Set up was not quite as easy as I had hoped. I had thought that by picking the products by model number it would know the nuances of the equipment. The main issue I had was the sound comes out of only the TV if turned on as programed with the other components. I had to program the tuner to turn back off and on again in order to get sound out of the receiver speakers. That was a pain and time consuming to learn on my own since it is not explained. But once I figured it out I was able to make it work for all the component sequences. It controls the PS3 even better than the OEM remote control.

Great product

Written By AndyW, Richmond, VA on Saturday, February 05, 2011

I'm very pleased with this product. Easy to set up but sophisticated enough to execute
some complex commands. For example, while I have my TV hooked through my A/V
unit, I usually have the sound through the TV. I needed the A/V unit to be set to HDMI1
input in order for the TV to show the video. This remote will allow a signal to be sent to
set the correct HDMI input before turning on the TV. The only reason I rated it 4 stars,
aside that I don't like giving our top ratings, is that the favorite channel setup should have
already had the channel icons. The icons can be easily downloaded from another site
but I think logitech should have already had this capability.

This is my second Logitech remote - setup was easy as all my info had been
stored on the website. This remote is much improved over the original - I was a
little disappointed with the battery life.

As Advertised

Written By DAB, Baltimore, Md on Friday, February 04, 2011

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Generally worked as advertised. It took about a half a dozen tries to get the
software to recognize the AV Receiver correctly, a Sony STR-DA2400.

After getting the software to recognize the AV Receiver, everything worked
correctly. I have a Samsung LCD HDTV, Sony Blu-Ray and Sony DVD/CD players,
as well as a cable DVR box (Scientific Atlanta from Comcast), and a Panasonic VCR.

I have had the the remote for about a month and have not had to use the
individual remotes that came with the individual components in that time.
