The Logitech Harmony Touch is a remote for the 21st century. Instead of a sea of buttons, this innovative universal remote has a few simple controls and color touchscreen. With a flick of your finger you can quickly swipe and scroll to navigate to your entertainment choices.

You can initiate a sequence of commands by tapping a single activity icon. Touch the “Watch TV” icon, for example, and the Harmony automatically assesses the status of your HDTV, receiver, cable or satellite box, makes sure they're all turned on with the proper settings, and presto! Your system's ready for TV viewing. The activity icons are great for family members and houseguests who might find your home theater system intimidating to use.

Harmony Logitech Touch remote channel icon

You can have up to 50 channel touchscreen icons, customized in the order you want them.

Customizable channel icons

With the Harmony Touch you can select display icons for up to 50 of your favorite channels. And you can personalize and rearrange them as you want — right on the remote's touchscreen. To watch a channel, just touch the icon. The remote does the rest.

Touch pad numbers

One of the reasons the Touch looks so simple and inviting is that the number buttons are gone. Instead, you access the number pad through the touchscreen. It's still there when you need it for codes and search – but out of sight when you don't.

Smart, ergonomic design

The sculpted design of the Harmony Touch makes it comfortable to hold. And the buttons are backlit, so they're easy to use in low-light settings. And don't worry about dead batteries – the Touch has built-in rechargeable batteries, and comes with its own charging cradle. Another nice thing about that cradle – it provides a home for your remote, so it's easier to find.

Simple setup

You can control up to 15 devices with the Touch. The system works with over 5,000 brands and 225,000 entertainment devices, including lighting controls, game consoles, multi-room systems, and more. If it has a remote, then you can probably control it with the Touch.

To get started, just download the free MyHarmony software to your Mac or PC. Then connect the Harmony Touch to it via the provided USB cable. MyHarmony will help you program your remote by asking some simple questions about your system and how you use it. It then downloads the commands and command sequences and sends them wirelessly to your Touch. And you can use MyHarmony to update your remote whenever you upgrade your system with new gear.

Good, not great

Written by: TomB from Virginia on December 29, 2015

The salesman at the store said they nicknamed this remote the "marriage saver" because it was so easy to use. I would say that it's no easier to understand for my wife than any other remote we have. Its biggest advantage is that it eliminates the 4 remotes I used to need into just the one. I still find the unit gets mixed up from time to time switching between "watch a movie" and "watch tv" and fails to shift the video input. Also if the DVR is recording when we turn the TV off then the DVR stays on, so the next day when you press Watch TV on the remote it actually turns the DVR off. In my opinion it should recognize the DVR is still on and leave it that way. This way it is confusing my wife even more than before. And it's quicker to get off the couch and manually turn the DVR back on than to go through the remote screens to "power toggle" the unit. In the end I'm using the Harmony but my wife still uses the old remotes. If I hadn't bought the unit at a good price on Black Friday I would return it.

Pros: Easily combines all the old remotes into one; lightweight; reasonably nice layout of buttons and touchscreen.

Cons: Not as simple to use and intuitive as was advertised; short battery life means it should go back in the charger every night; still need an understanding of how your system works in order to work the remote quickly and efficiently.

Simple and it works!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Super simple to set up. Easy to use. Don't have to worry about several different remotes. Don't have to use other "so-called" universal remotes that never cover the tasks you need. The harmony touch just works.

Pros: Simple set up.

Cons: Sometimes there are not enough buttons to easily do what you want. But there are enough to cover everything you do commonly.

Great remote

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Since my dog chewed my last Logitech remote it was time to upgrade. I like the touch as I didn't want to use my smartphone for the remote. I had all my settings and functions saved from the last remote in the software. Once I realized I had to upgrade the software things went quick. It does take a little time to learn the new functions like swiping the screen for more options but all in all it's great. I would totally recommend this to anyone. My only complaint is the battery seems to die quick compare to the older model but I just need to get in the habit of checking it more. Not that big of a deal for remote that does a lot.

Pros: Simple to use, combines a lot of remotes to one. Program one button to setup multiple devices

Cons: Battery dies quick

Outstanding!

This remote was very easy to setup. When I logged into my Logitech account, I was asked if I would like to transfer the settings from my existing Logitech remote to the new one. What a time saver! Now, I have this one remote for two home theater systems, because it handles up to 15 devices! Outstanding!

Pros: Convenience; ease of setup, ease of use, bright and colorful display and rechargeable.

Cons: None.

Logitech Harmony Touch

Written by: NTB, Charlottesville, VA from Virginia on November 21, 2015

This is my second Harmony and it's easier to work and less expensive than the first (which failed and had two be replaced). Crutchfield helped me walk through a very user-friendly Logitech interface to set it up. Logitech contacted me by email asking if there were any issues and offering phone support for fixing any problems - which was a good thing, because there were a few issues at first with consistently getting the various functions to work at "one touch". All in all, a very good product with excellent support, both at Crutchfield and through Logitech.

Pros: Easy setup and online maintenance interface.

Cons: Inconsistency in "one touch" operation of the function selections.

Sticking Buttons

Written by: delcirose from Aguanga, Ca on November 13, 2015

First this is not a negative review of Crutchfield, they are great. I have had this remote for a short period of time about six months. I am writing this review to advise not purchasing this remote. I had no problems with programing it and for the most part using it. When using fast forward, rewind, pause etc I have been using the gesture screen about 90% of the time, so when the top transport controls and the on and off button started sticking and feeling that they had lost their "spring" I was shocked. I unfortunately did not retain the packaging from this product, my bad, Crutchfield if I had done so would have been happy to issue a RMA take it back and issue me a store credit. Because I don't have the original packaging the only recourse is to contact Logitech under the one year warranty. There is nothing about this device that convinces me that it won't do it again, so I guess I wait until the 11th hour so to speak and then get them to replace it. Along with others that commented on the terrible placement of the tape transport controls I think once having a Logitech Remote Control it is hard to live without one.

Pros: Easy to program, easy to customize, easy to update

Cons: Terrible button locations, awkward to hold in hand and use the fast forward, play and rewind buttons, button failure with only moderate use. Very sensitive to touch screen at times and other times when using gestures it does not always recognize that you are getting it to stop fast forwarding etc.

newer but not very much better

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this remote on sale to replace my Harmony One remote which no longer turned off without several efforts. A tech from a local audio/visual shop programmed it in about an hour after he discovered it "learned" from my Harmony One. A Crutchfield tech support rep later was able to remove an unnecessary screen from the watching BlueRay function. The remote appears to work correctly since.

Pros: I will need additional time to operate the "touch" or "swipe" methods correctly. It takes just the right amount of pressure like a smart phone to work right. The remote now does shut off with only one touch of the hard button.

Cons: The number buttons screen must be found to dial directly into a channel unlike the Harmony One which had a hard number keyboard. The "My Activities" screen on the Harmony One was much easier to read.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have two remotes that are similar and one with a hub. They seem easy to program and then only seem to partially work. Almost always, I have to call logitech and get them to reprogram it. We have to use the help button 50% of the time to execute the proper commands. They still need work and better engineering to be mainstream. My old Harmony one seemed to work better.

Pros: Nice looking and onscreen touch.

Cons: Pressing the activity only has a 50% chance of getting the action you want.

I love this remote. Setup took only a few minutes, but it was worth the time in the end. This remote is very functional. I was able to combine 4 remotes into 1. It operates all my devices without a single issue.

Pros: Ease of use. Sleek design. Charging station. Size.

Cons: So far, my least favorite thing about this remote, is the price.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Easy to use. Very user friendly. My wife who knows nothing about electronics set the entire thing up. Used it to replace five remotes and it is incredible. Very easy to set up and use. Works great. Battery lasts days and it has a good feel in the design as you hold it.

Pros: Controls Apple TV. Easy set up. Very plain and simple to use. Simplifies so much so easily.

Cons: When you press a command say watch tv, there is a delay in the task so you have to wait for everything to change channels or turn on. You must hold the remote toward the entertainment center for a few seconds after you've pushed the command otherwise tasked will not be completed. But this is being very particular and it isn't much of a con.

What a difference this makes!

I was looking for a remote that would control a number of devices because it drove my wife crazy trying to figure out which controller did what. I followed the instructions, programmed it on the web, set my favorites, and bingo, it worked as it was suppose to. She now just presses "Watch TV" or "Watch a Movie" and it does the rest. Wish I would have purchased this sooner.

Pros: Simple operation, charging station ( can find it now), touch screen

Cons: None

Incredibly easy to set-up. Had it working in 15 minutes. (Used settings from my Harmony 650.) Added Apple TV to the remote. Read there were some issues with this, but very easy I thought. I really like the interface and charging cradle. Used Harmony 650 in secondary TV room and had it set-up in about 10 minutes. Very easy.

Pros: Easy set-up Great interface Charging cradle

Cons: None

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Very simple and easy to program, simple to use, took some trial-and-error because we have so many things hooked up to it, but works great. Probably not worth it if you're trying to combine just 2 remotes, but the more devices you are trying to combine, the better this thing is.

Pros: Easy to program, easy to use, touchscreen is intuitive and logical

Cons: With 5 devices, it can take a few iterations to know where everything is on the remote.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this for the family for Christmas and was able to easily set it up ahead of time. The web site transferred my info from my existing old Harmony. I like the idea of the swipe gestures but I'm not sure why it's there for volume since the volume rocker is easier, to me. The touch screen takes a little getting used to but I really like the favorite channels screen. I did have to customize a few buttons such as jumping to the Netflix app on my TV or Bluray, but that just made the whole thing work even better. My favorite feature is the cradle, so the battery is always charged and (hopefully) the remote has a home so there's no hunting in the couch cushions for it!

Pros: Favorite channel icons, charging cradle, customizable buttons, 15 devices (I don't have that many in my whole house!)

Cons: A little on the pricey side. For some people, customizing button functions might be complicated.

I own two older models of this remote and they are working great. I just helped my son program his Christmas present and now I want the newer version. Like all Logitech hardware these are good products, kid proof, stable programing and easy to program and use. Plus all the other remotes are in storage.

Pros: easy to setup and easy to use, the new touch screen is almost like the smart phones.

Cons: hadn't found one yet. and that's after owning two, and each son owning one each.

Pros: Easy set up, Easy to work, Easy to read!

Cons: I have not found any yet!

Cannot Recommend

Written by: Halhoyle from Phoenix on December 25, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Based upon the recommendation of one of my techno-savvy sons, I bought this remote. What a mistake! What a waste of money, notwithstanding my son's positive experience!! I cover the only positives I experienced below in the "Pros" section, so I will concentrate here on the negatives, of which I found many. First, even a person with small hands will have difficulty operating the buttons. Some of the buttons, IMHO, are counter-intuitively placed. (viz. mute, DVR and Guide buttons). The buttons for fast forward/rewind are so small and shallow, that they were very difficult for this user to operate without pressing the adjacent buttons (e.g. pause). On top of all of that, after setting it up, the mute stop working. After a reboot per the suggestion of Logitech, mute worked, but the fast forward/rewind froze the screen or jumped to the end. Still have not been able to fix that. In other words, IMHO the gadget is too fussy to operate, and requires too much rebooting, resetting, whatever. I have a number of Logitech products, and all those purchased within the last year have been plagued by problems. Logitech does not appear to be producing the quality products it once did.

Pros: Very nice looking, and the touch screen feature is really handy for favorite channel selection. For that I gave it two stars.

Cons: See review for why I gave it only two stars.

This is the fourth Harmony remote I have purchased and the best so far! I have one in my media room, one in the bedroom, and one in the living room; this one went to a family friend whom I have recently installed a home theater for. She is very happy with it and brags about how she never has to remember which inputs to use! Setup was extremely simple, even more so than previous models which I thought were simple as well!

Pros: Simple setup, easy use, nice touch screen.

Cons: None

Not too big, great flexibility

Written by: Tom K from Norfolk, MA on October 30, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Logitech Harmony Touch universal remote is a reasonably sized controller with great flexibility. I bought this remote to replace a Harmony 880 I previously had. The touch display is nice but sometimes its small size makes it difficult to read and/or press the appropriate location. Some extra capabilities, like gesture control (where one can define a pattern to trace on the touch screen that results in a remote command) are neat to try but not all that practical for daily use. Other than that, the Touch performs pretty much the same as the 880.

A big plus for me is the Touch's charging base. The Harmony 880 remote I previously had would not always make contact with the terminals of the charging tray and as a result, the remote would not charge. I resorted to using a rubberband to force contact with the charger... not exactly an ideal solution for an expensive universal remote control. However, the charging base on the Harmony Touch performs well. It's similar to that of a wireless home phone; drop the remote into the cradle vertically and contact is ensured.

Logitech revamped the web portal it uses for setting up the remote. While its visual appeal is high, I found at times that it was too "high level" for me meaning, I had difficulty drilling down into the more advanced functions. To be fair, that detailed capability is there, but it would be nice if the user could switch between basic and advanced setting modes.

In summary, I'm happy with the purchase!

Pros: Reasonable size Nice charging base Flexible programming Favorite channels display Multi-mode button capability (short press/long press) Gestures

Cons: Touch display is small Difficult to get at more advanced features Programming web portal hard to navigate at times

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I just purchased a TV and several other items from Crutchfield and Norman and I talked about Remote Controls. I've always been a big Harmony Remote user but had seen some reviews that made me a little nervous about this one. (lack on physical number buttons). As soon as I began to program the remote...I knew this was a winner. I was very impressed by the myharmony.com website and set up process. Seems much more intuitive than previous setup screens. Once I programmed my devices and activities it was very simple to tweak and customize the remote to my specific needs. I like the way the remote feels. The transport buttons are on the top...which I don't love...but am getting used to very quickly. Seems to have a strong IR output. I use a repeater for my DirecTV box and it works well. I like the ability to have the transport buttons have two uses. For example, a quick touch on the Rewind button in now "Replay" and a long touch triggers the Rewind function. This type of customization minimizes the number of buttons on the remote while maintaining all the functionality that's needed.

Pros: Feels good. Set up is easy. After setup customizing is intuitive.

Cons:

Reviews for the Logitech Harmony Touch

Written by: BillR from Livingston, Texas on October 1, 2013

Although I returned this item I gave it a 5 star rating because the product does accomplish everything it advertises it will do. In my case however the controller is too small to handle comfortably. I am sure someone with the ability to hold the controller in one hand while using the different controls (varying position of buttons etcetera) would find this item to be a welcome addition to their arsenal of items needing one remote for multi tasking. Keep in mind that if you have large hands and/or need glasses to read with, this remote is likely not a good choice for you.

Pros: Does everything advertised.

Cons: Fonts too small and because of size is hard to handle and/or operate in one hand.

I have a 3-zone receiver with a second receiver set up to amplify the secondary zones. I wanted to play internet radio from the receiver, Pandora, and CDs from my 300 CD deck, sometimes while watching surround sound TV in the main room. I couldn't do it with the help of the on-line directions, so I called Crutchfield. Their Tech couldn't figure it out, so they referred me to Logitech. I spent an hour on the phone with their man, and again, no dice. So I sent it back.

Pros: Thank God Crutchfield has such an easy return policy.

Cons: WAY too complicated for a simple guy like me! I'll just have to make do with the five remotes I now have to balance--which I can do, although I sometimes misplace a remote or two!

Great remote so far. Pricey but it works. I have a receiver, blu ray, cable box, projector, sub, and power conditioner, the last two not needed to be set up on the remote. I was going to return this thing if it didn't seemlessly work the rest of my components but to my suprise everything reliably turns on and off. My projector needs a double off to turn off, wasn't sure how to make this work. A call in to Logitech and the tech updated the flash saved online and when i got home i downloaded it to the remote and it worked. First class.

Logitech Harmony Touch Remote

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Easy to set up and program. Used the Logitech database to automatically download codes. Was impressed it had the codes for an Adcom CD player which is approaching 20 years old. Was disappointed with the codes and how it configured for an Optimum Samsung cable box. I find it easy to use and love not having to use 4 -5 remotes to listen to music. However, less technilogical members of the family find it cumbersome to use and have requested the cable remote back.... sigh......

Pros: Removed remote clutter. Easy to program and set up macros.

Cons: Not for everyone.

Overall I'm very pleased with the Harmony Touch. It was easy to program and only required a few minor tweaks. It takes a little getting used to not having the typical number pad - but the soft version on the screen works fine. I have no regrets. Really like the Favorite channel feature

Pros: Easy to program Recharge-able Easy to read screen

Cons: Roku and Apple TV required some tweaking - apart from that, no cons to note Use the screen to enter channel numbers takes a little getting used to but the Favorites more than makes up for any shortcoming

This unit does the job and eliminated the need for 5 remotes in my family room AV surround sound set up. One of the reasons for migrating to this unit was to make it easer for my family to use the equipemt and reduce the clutter on the coffee table. The unit is relatively easy to set up and the ability to go online and add devices and activities to the unit is a distinct advantage, The instructions are not models of calrity but you can get throught them. When I had questions regarding the set up, the Crutchfield support staff came to the rescue. Overall I am pleased with the results and the product. In fact I purchased a second Harmony Touch for the upstairs system. This set up has equipemnt going back to the mid 80's as well as some recent purchases. Once again the online device database makde the set up relatively easy.

Pros: The quality price ratio is acceptable and the overall flexiblity of the unit is excellent. The ability to eliminate numerous remotes is a distinct advantage.

Cons: Instructions could be more comprehensive. This is the reason I don't rate a five star product.

Not as good as the original

Written by: Charles K from NYC, NY on April 8, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Anyone hoping to get the same ease or use and fail safe operation of the Harmony One, 900, etc., will be disappointed by the Harmony Touch. The fact that you could simply make even the most complex system an easy task to run for anyone is what made the Harmony remotes so attractive. If a unit didn't turn on and whole system wasn't working properly, the help button could easily fix the issue regardless of was operating it. This became an invaluable feature and stopped virtually all calls to fix a "blank screen" or "no sound" issue.

With the new Harmony Touch, this trouble free concept is thrown out the window simply because of poor programming. The hardware is almost perfect with little complaints, the materials and build quality are top notch and the touch screen does indeed react similar to any modern touch screen phone. The software however is not as customizable as hoped, so the items on the top of the screen are stuck there regardless if you use them or not. Aside from not being able to customize certain aspects, the software allows you to edit buttons right on the remote. The problem is that the edit button is on the touch screen - ALL THE TIME - when you are using the favorites option. This allows anyone to edit the channels for a favorite very (too) easily, rendering the favorites useless if a change was inadvertent. This happened within 3 minutes of a no-experienced user handling the remote which simply should not ever happen.

Pros: Build Quality & Design.

Cons: Software is not well thought out. Most buttons are gone, so the software becomes the key player here. Bad software = Bad Product.

I bought this remote to replace an older Logitech remote the we flat wore out. The new remote was easy to setup and the functions are easy to navigate within a short time to familiarize yourself with the new unit. The only con, which is typically user error, is that it is easy to "run" a thumb or finger over the touch screen and change the mode... again not a defect in the product, I'm sure we'll get over that soon enough.

Pros: Easy setup Transfers old setup from previous remote Small and light Back lit buttons

This remote is a great upgrade from my Harmony One. The ability to download my activities to my Harmony Touch was as easy as typing in my pass word and it did all the work for me. It was great to not have to setup my system agian. If you do have set it up to your components take you time and it will work great. There is only one thing I would change and that is the placement of the buttons. They should have put the DVD controls at the bottom and they touch screen at the top. It is akward to put your hand in a position to hit the lower buttons and I use those all the time. Other than that it is great.

Pros: Ease of use and setup.

Cons: Botton position.

First off I currently was using the very popular Harmony One remote for the past few years and the time had come for an upgrade to the Harmony or going with a different remote from another company. I had read all the reviews out there on this remote positive and negative. I then purchased this remote from Crutchfield and I can honestly say I dont understand the negative reviews about this remote. Sure it is different than the Harmony One but different in a great way!! The feel and the response from this remote is great!! Everything works real smooth. I know people will not buy this remote because their are no physical channel number buttons but trust me you will grow to enjoy the numbers on the touchscreen. If I had one gripe the only one would be I wish some of the buttons on the top were actually on the bottom. I also like that this remote is smaller than the one and the charging dock takes up much less room. If you are still on the fence about buying this remote buy it!! You will not be disappointed!!

Pros: Great update to Harmony One Feels great in hand Easy to program Fast Compact charging cradle

Cons: Wish some of the buttons were placed on bottom instead of top

Cons: Touch screen can sometimes be touchy.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have owned several universal remotes in the past including Harmony remotes. This is my favorite thus far because it only has the buttons on it that actually use...nothing more. It is easy to set up/program online. It is ergonomic fitting nicely in my hand very comfortably. I love that I can put it in the cradle when I'm done with it and never have to change out a battery. The "Favorites" feature is an amazing convenience as well.

Pros: Great quality, ergonomic design, intelligent layout, rechargeable, cool touch screen, fairly priced.

Cons: Could not think of one...

Easy to set up and intuitive. Learning curve is not too steep and very fast. Been meaning to do this for a while and regret not doing it before. Here you get what you paid for.

Pros: Easy set up. One remote for everything.

Cons: Touch screen menus can initially be confusing.

The remote is actually pretty simple to use. However the missing number key will take some getting use to. I like the remote so far, no problems or concerns. I fully charged the battery over night and has not needed a charge in over 4 days.

Pros: Touchscreen. Placement of the keys and additional key for DVRs.

Cons: Need time to get use to.

Setup with TV, satellite radio, Bose Home Theater, Apple TV with multiple activities. It takes some tweaking to get the delays correct. The remote has the ability to correct problems during initiating of an activity along with modifying an activity on the remote. The Logitech website needs to be more interactive in solving delay problems.

Pros: Works well with multiple components Easy initial setup

Cons: Ergonomic challenges with some of the frequently used buttons. Fine adjustment of delays takes time

Great remote!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I love this remote! I replaced a Harmony One with the touch. The complaint I had about the One was no ability to store more than nine favorite channels. The touch, allowing up to 50 is outstanding. The only problem I had was installing the software on my system. For some reason the software would not install properly on I.E. (I am running Ver. 9, 64 bit). Called Logitech support and they were extremely helpful. Finally installed Firefox and the software installed perfectly the first time, so if you have trouble getting the software to take on I.E....install a copy of Firefox and see what happens. Prior to doing that, be sure to delete the previous software versions completely from your system if replacing a previous remote. Love the size, and the ability to store 50 favorites. Very easy to use. Well worth the money. Once the software was installed, the set up was flawless and took no time at all. Great remote.

Pros: Light weight, 50 favorite channel storage, very easy to set up, extremely simple to use.

Cons: If replacing a previous Harmony remote, be sure to remove previous software versions and start fresh, then reinstall the old remotes software (if you're still going to use it). For some reason trying to just replace it does not work as well as deleting and starting over with software installation. Minor problem, however.

This is a good remote. Sometimes the activities I set up don't always power on but you can force the remote to send the signals again and that typically will fix things. I use an IR extender with my system as all of my components are hidden. At first I experienced some issues with the remote and the IR. Its was a long issue of trial and error and I worked with Logitech customer support, but in the end I figured some things out and the remote is doing what I need it to do.

Pros: Logitech customer support is great if you would need to call them.

Cons: The remote is an advanced device so it may take some folks longer to learn things than others. In that case patience is the key.

A really great improvement over the older Logitech Remotes. Much easier to set up and easier to hold. All the touch screen prompts are a little confusing at first but you get it figured out after a little experience. Overall I'm very pleased!

Pros: Easy set up, your PC does all the hard work.

Cons: No hard buttons for channel changes, but that's minor.

I went from 5 remotes to 1 when I got the Logitech Harmony Touch for my entertainment center. It took a little getting use to, but it is really easy, haven't quite figured out how to advance recordings on the TiVo yet, so I am watching the whole recording until I figure it out. It will take time getting used to, but one remote is enough!

Pros: Easy to use.

Cons: Some of my things I used to do with multiple remotes I have to figure out how to use the new Harmony.

The remote was very easy to set up. Very easy-to-use and also very ergonomic. Only bad side that I would have is that the video processor seems to be a little sluggish.

Pros: Ergonomic, easy-to-use, very quick remote responses.

Cons: Video processor seems sluggish for price paid

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Used Logitech remotes for years. This is an upgrade from a Harmony One. The remote feels beter on your hands. It is very easy to program. It even inports your tv guide from your cable or sat provider for the purpose of seting up your favorite chanels. It has a gesture feature that let you control basic comands. The only drawback that I have is that the number butons are onlt available in the touchscreen. Otherwise an excelent product.

Pros: Very easy and intuitive to program.

Cons: No hard keys for numbers.

Great Improvement on already fine product

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Logitech Harmony One was by far best universal TV remote on market until Logitech introduced this much better remote. I was able to eliminated four remotes and also made it possible for my tech negative wife to use the functions of our Smart TV.

Pros: Fairly easy to set up. Much easier than setting up its predecessor. Touch screen display shows all functions ot our complicated Smart TV system and enables using any function by simple touch on screen.

Cons: Buttons for recording, fast forward, fast backward, pause, resume, etc. are located above the touch screen, thus separated from volume, select, and other buttons. This separation makes using the remote somewhat of a juggling act. That's why I rated the unit four stars and not five. All buttons should be below the screen.

Feature

Universal Remote Control: Harmony Touch is an activity-based Infrared (IR) universal remote control that can control up to 15 different devices. The Harmony Touch remote is programmed using MyHarmony desktop software for Windows PC & Mac. The Harmony Touch keeps track of the devices it controls, which allows it to always know which devices are on and off, and what input each device is currently set to. The Harmony Touch Universal Remote brings the flexibility and convenience of touch screen controls to your home entertainment system.

MyHarmony Desktop Software:  You will need to use the MyHarmony desktop software to add devices, setup, configure, and program the Harmony Touch remote control. The MyHarmony desktop software downloads for free to your Windows PC or Mac computer, and the Harmony Touch remote connects to your PC or computer via the included dock and USB cable. By connecting the Harmony Touch remote to your Windows PC or Mac computer running the MyHarmony desktop software, you can enter your device information, create activities and choose your favorites. With this information, the MyHarmony desktop software will configure the Harmony Touch to control your entertainment system. Your can return to the MyHarmony desktop software program any time to update your configuration, although many settings can also be maintained directly on Harmony Touch as well. The Harmony database has over 270,000 electronic devices from over 6,000 manufacturers.

System Requirements: Your PC or computer will need to meet the following system requirements.

  • Windows-based PC:
    • Microsoft Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 10

Learning Function: In addition to the devices which can be entered using the web interface, this remote can also learn most functions of other infrared remotes.

Activities: The Harmony Touch uses Activity Control to give you one-touch control of your entertainment system. You can use one of the touchscreen's Activity buttons to power on your TV, DVD player, A/V receiver, set all your inputs and even activate play without having to program time consuming macros. Once all of your equipment is "on", the buttons on the remote are also automatically configured for the appropriate operation.

Favorites: Favorites are your favorite TV channels. Using the MyHarmony desktop software you can select up to 50 favorite channels to display on the remote. Selecting a favorite channel will start your "Watch TV" activity, if it's not already started, and tune directly to that channel. Using the touchscreen, you can add, remove and reorder your favorite channels right on the remote.

Help: If you have a problem completing an activity function, the help button will guide you through the fix using the interactive multi-color touchscreen display.

System Off: One push of the off button turns off all the equipment in your system.

no, it requires a special hub non compatible with the other hubs. [ GREGORY  Dec 01, 2015 ]
I use mine to configure the receiver and TV inputs for different sources including XB1. However, I do not use it to control internal functions of the Xbox. If you plan on using your Harmony touch for controling channel switching and other TV controls internal to the Xbox 1, I recommend contacting Xbox 1 support and Logitech. I checked the Logitech web site for you, and they do have a database of several thousand supported devices, but, I can only guess the level of support for an Xbox 1. I use DIRECTV to control my television functions and still use my xbox for gaming and video. The Xbox 1 is very proprietary.. many accessories that worked with the 360 are no longer compatible with the new system. [ GEORGE  Jan 02, 2014 ]
Dear Andrew. Don't know. In my case I have an Sharp TV, a Sony Receiver, a Dish 722k Duo and a Sony Blu-ray and works like charm for everything. It's take a while to get use the touch panel. If you prefer the hard button this is not for you. But after a few months I like the control very much and is easy for me. Sorry for not have the rigth answer for you. Take care.
