With a pre-paid InstallCard, you can have your new in-dash stereo installed by any professional who's a member of the InstallCard network — there are more than 1,500 locations all across the country. You'll get all the benefits of buying your receiver from Crutchfield (including FREE installation accessories with most orders), plus the time savings and peace of mind that come with professional installation.

How does it work?
Simple. First, enter your zip code to see if there's an InstallCard installer in your area (if you don't see an installer listed, you may wish to call InstallerNet at the number listed below the zip code field. New installers are added to the network frequently, so there may be options available for you that aren't yet listed online). Then, just add this card to your online shopping cart, and proceed through checkout as usual. When you receive the card from us, visit www.installcard.com, enter the unique InstallCard number on the back of the card, and schedule your installation with the local shop.

Installation
When you arrive for your appointment at your local stereo shop, just hand over the InstallCard, along with the in-dash stereo you've purchased and your Crutchfield invoice (it will be included in the box with your order), and your installation begins. And you can feel confident about the quality of work — every installer on the InstallerNet Network has at least two years' experience and is MECP (Mobile Electronics Certified Professional) certified. InstallerNet feels so strongly about the expertise of their installers that they will warranty the labor of your installation for the life of your vehicle.

    • your in-dash stereo includes a satellite antenna that must be mounted on the exterior of your vehicle
    • your vehicle features OnStar (or a similar factory security system), the audio portion of which is broadcast through the factory radio, and the installation of a new in-dash stereo requires replacement of the security-system modules
    • the factory wiring or dashboard have been cut or damaged as the result of a previous non-professional installation, or theft
    • your premium factory system (Bose, Infinity, Monsoon, etc.) requires bypassing with an extra wiring harness
    • no installation kit is available for your vehicle, and the installer is required to fabricate a custom-mounting bracket
    • your vehicle has factory steering-wheel controls, and you'd like your new in-dash stereo to work with them
    • your vehicle requires optional mounting brackets or significant, additional labor due to a complex dash diassembly/reassembly process

Important Note: Install Cards are not eligible for refunds once they are activated.

  • If equipment is determined to be defective during the process of the installation or immediately after while still at the install shop the installer will remove and reinstall the equipment at no charge.
  • If the Manufacturer's product becomes defective sometime after the initial installation, and it is determined that the malfunction is not caused by the installation, then the installer will replace the defective unit with a new unit supplied by the customer, and the customer will be responsible for an R&R (removal and reinstallation) charge which will not exceed 50% of the original installation charge.
  • If the customer chooses to remove non-defective equipment (swapping for a different brand, for example), Installer Net will charge for a completely new installation.

Features

Overview: This InstallCard (42-1000) covers the basic installation labor for a professional Mobile Electronics installer to install an aftermarket car stereo in dash. The new stereo will be wired with a vehicle specific radio harness, antenna cable and mounted with an after factory installation kit. The basic installation labor will not cover additional wiring to bypass a factory amplifier, steering wheel control or Onstar type module. This InstallCard does not cover the parts needed for a professional installation; only the labor.

Disclaimers: This InstallCard (42-1000) does not include the following installation costs:

  • If the indash stereo has a satellite antenna that has to be mounted on the exterior of the vehicle.
  • Onstar and some other factory security system play through the factory radio and the installation of an aftermarket stereo may require replacement modules.
  • If the factory wires or dashboard has been cut or damaged due to a previous not professional installation or theft.
  • Some vehicle will require additional amplifier bypass harness to rewiring a factory amplifier along with additional labor, for example vehicles that have factory Bose, Infinity or other premium sound system.
  • If there is no installation kit available for your dash and the installer may have to fabricate a custom-mounting bracket.
  • To make any factory steering wheel controls work with an aftermarket radio will require additional parts and labor.
  • Some vehicles may require optional mounting brackets or additional labor due to the complexity of the existing radio removal. For example some cars require the disassemble of a large portion of the dashboard just to remove the radio.
  • European cars, such as BMW, Mercedes, Audi etc. and some exotic vehicles may need additional labor due to the complexity of their wiring.

Installation Warranty: Each installation performed using an InstallCard comes with a nationwide limited lifetime labor warranty. If at any time, the installed product becomes inoperable due to a faulty installation the installer will correct the problem at no charge.

Defective Equipment: If the equipment is found to be defective at the time of installation, the installer will remove the defective unit and reinstall a replacement unit (supplied by the customer) at no additional charge. If the installed equipment fails later, after leaving the installation shop, and it is determined that the malfunction is not caused by the installation, the installer will remove and replace the defective unit with a new unit supplied by the customer, and the customer will be responsible for a removal and reinstallation charge which will not exceed 50% of the original installation charge.

So Easy and Fast

Purchased a stereo with the plans of installing it with my son in his 2002 Land Rover. Despite the fact I have installed a number of radios over the years, I quickly discovered that it was going to be an issue and order the install card. My installer called right away, set a date and time and followed up with the appointment the day before. On top of it, he came to us to install. Within 30-45 mins, the radio was in, programed and blasting. I paid about 1/3 of what the other installers and big box stores quote was to install with less hassle and NO UPSELL- yes Geek Squad none of the extra parts you told me had be to purchased and installed to make it work were needed. This service is an outstanding value.
Pros:
Inexpensive, easy, convenient, and done right.
Cons:
Have to order the card and wait for it to arrive before you can schedule the appointment. Adds a week, but if you order the card at the same time you order the radio, it would be faster. A digital process would be excellent the only upgrade to the experience.

Can be an issue

I feel the price is fair and the concept is wonderful... having a local installer for a product you buy on-line. The problem is the installer invariably resents that you didn't buy the product from them and treat you with contempt...at least that is what happened to me! From the moment I stepped in until I left I felt like a second-class customer!

Installers frame of mind and reference is an crap shoot.

I bought an in-dash receiver Installer Card from Crutchfield when I purchased a new receiver. On the same order I also purchased a SiriusXM Adapter and knew when I did so there would be an extra charge to install it. Prior to my installation appointment I chose to get the "harder and more time consuming" work out of the way by installing the rooftop satellite antenna and finishing up a tidy and permanent cable run from the roof to the inside of the vehicle, leaving the remaining antenna cable coiled under the dash. All that needed to be completed by the technician was to plug the antenna into the adapter, plug the adapter into the receiver and secure the adapter inside the dash. The open dash was easily accessible due to the receiver installation. I discussed the extra SiriusXM installation with the tech when I arrived for my appointment. I indicated that paying an extra amount was something I expected and I had no issue doing so. The installer told me it would be an additional $40 to install the adapter. I sincerely felt that was an excessive add-on charge...hoping it might be in the neighborhood of $25. I felt I had to pay it as I really had no other viable alternative. Again, I knew I would have to pay extra, but I still think $40 was excessive. Too bad a "combo" Installer card for in-dash receiver + satellite adapter was not available for purchase.I suspect it would be cheaper than what I ended up paying. I love Crutchfield and will continue to buy from them, but I'll be very wary of buying an Installer card again. If I did, I would absolutely establish the extra cost when I attempt to set up the appointment. Live and learn.

They helped me find a good installer which was most important. Unfortunately they failed to get steering wheel controls to work but did my receiver, sat tuner, and Bluetooth very well. I had to pay a surcharge for the sat and Bluetooth so buy the right card for you.

I was a little worried when I read some of the negative reviews, but in my case everything went well. It took 3 days from the time I called to activate the card to the time the receiver was installed. I was assigned an excellent installation service (They installed it in my driveway!) and the installation took just over an hour. There was an additional $20 charge to hook the receiver into a Bose amp, but that seemed fair.
Pros:
- easy - less expensive than paying installer directly
Cons:
- evidently quality of installers can be hit or miss based on comments by others, but my installer was excellent - you probably can't get the merchandise installed the day you receive it - Crutchfield doesn't make it clear that there may be an additional charge for non-standard installations

Was a bit apprehensive about prepaying installation, but Sonny made sure I had everything I needed (Thanks Sonny at Crutchfield.com) and the installation company was so impresive that I had them also tint my windows. They kept the car clean, didn't take very long to complete the install and were very friendly and professional. The company that installed the stereo was called Extreme Auto Additions in Tavares, Fl

I found a great installer, but it took some work. I had read all the reviews so I knew about the frustrations with InstallerNet. First name they gave me did the work as a side job (from Capitol Heights) so it took a while to schedule. He ended up being 1/2 late so I cancelled on him. Then when I call InstallerNet back, I asked about: ratings; are they open late? on Sat? etc. It's a bit frustrating because InstallerNet will put you on hold to call each one, but I ended up with a great find.
Pros:
Supports a small business (i.e., the installer); Better than supporting the big box stores; some are mobile installers
Cons:
Have to be patient to work with the InstallerNet system; one isn't given the ratings, hours, etc of each of the installers in our area, you have to ask. InstallerNet will check--though by calling one by one; if you don't live in a big metro-area and have few choices, this might not work well for you.

I'm a handy guy, and might try to install the radio if I had an old truck, but to replace a premium Bose radio in my 1998 Infiniti I30...no way. For only $59.99 you get an experienced installer...if you select the right shop. Just read the shop reviews, and select the best one. I used Street Noyz in San Diego, and Shawn was great, and worked on the installation for about 1.5 hours and gave me 15 min of instruction on the use of my new JVC KW-HDR81BT with HD and Bluetooth. Sweet, and No Extra Charges, but I gave him a nice tip for his good work.

I ordered this card to save a few bucks from an install at big store. It was going to require a little custom work, so I wasn't going to do it myself. After you select your area, they provide you the installer's details. It is basically the roll of the dice whether you get someone good or not. I ended up with a small time operation and it was a big time hassle. The install did end up getting done, but LOTS of time was wasted dealing with them. Not sure if I would do it again.

The install took less than 2 hours and was done well. The install location was just 15 minutes from home. A great deal.
Pros:
Installation of an in-dash radio with the InstallCard cost half of what the Big Box store would have charged me.
Cons:
I had to call to get InstallCard to get the installer to call me because installer didn't respond via email with the first try. So it took about a week to arrange an appointment.

I got this installcard hoping that installation would be quick and done right. I was wrong, it's been over a week since I activated it and I haven't heard a thing from InstallerNet. I ended up calling them and they said that they are trying to find an installer and that the installer in my area isn't responding and an installer that's further away says they can't do it. So I just said screw this and I cancelled the card and am having my local electronics store install it the DAY I called, not weeks later.

Doesn't cover the real cost

I've installed car stereos in the past but because my car is quite small and cramped - and it's cold this time of year - I decided to just have the pros install this one so I bought the InstallCard.

You don't know ahead of time what shop will perform the install, the folks at InstallCard have contracted with shops in your area and they will hook you up with one near you. The shop I went to was very professional and did a fine job. However, they told me right up front that card would not cover their price. The card costs $60 which doesn't mean that the installer gets $60. I ended up paying additional for the install.

I'd rather see an arrangement like an online tire store has where they have a list of local installers, they send the tires directly to the shop and then you pay the installation fee directly to the shop.
Pros:
They sent me to a very good shop.
Cons:
The middle man cut service (having a list of local installers who will install a stereo that they didn't sell) isn't really worth the cut they take. Ended up paying extra out of pocket.

If you live near Plano do NOT buy this service. After two days of a total of 9 hours the men proclaimed it was done. However, the check engine light was on which Crutchfields covered at the dealer for $99 to fix the wires they jacked. THEN we had to take it to another shop and pay again to have it installed correctly. Would NEVER do this again!

I do not feel like I got burned or anything, but it did not cover the total cost of install. The install shop I was sent too wanted extra money for the dash kit. I wound up spending an extra 30 bucks , but it was done right and the shop was friendly and did a great job.

The installer charged me an additional $15. There was nothing else needed. IMO the cost to istall should be reflected in the card amount. If I knew it was going to be more, I would have done it myself.

My complaint is directed at the main office that handles all of the USA installers. I am sure the installers around the country are great people so I am not faulting them.

I had no response from a phone message that I had left after hours (short hours when you think in terms of Pacific Time). They keep more or less an Eastern time zone hours. It appears there is no one in the office during the weekends. I find this strange, when installers work on Saturdays and some of them work on Sundays. Weekends are good for people to bring in their car for installation.

I feel they should have someone in their main office when there are installers working on the weekends. My messages were never returned nor did they respond to my email. I wanted to schedule an appointment NOT ask a bunch of technical questions. After three days of no response from them. I decided to cancel and go with another installer not connected with InstallCard.

After two weeks, I still have no follow up on my email or any customer service response. So I finally decided to cancel my InstallCard and get a refund. I had another receiver that I wanted installed, so a response from them would have kept me a satisfied customer.

Don't use in Seattle

NO installation facilities in Seattle. List on the web site was inaccurate (Arlington is 55 miles from Seattle, not 3 miles) Place I chose was 20 miles away. Took several phone calls and emails to set up appointment. It turns out the "install facility" was a car detailing shop and a "friend of the owner" would come by to install my stereo. And on the appointed day, he was a no-show. Overall very frustrating and a total waste. Returned card and had local big box store(1 mile from my home) do the install (and was cheaper!) The only positive thing was Crutchfield's response. They immediately credited my account.

Good Product and Price - Process Needs Improvement

This is a good concept that needs tweaking in execution.

The good news is that for a reasonable price, I now have an upgraded car audio installed. Once the appointment was made to have the install, I could not be happier. The installer was knowledgable, courteous and got the job done. I was thrilled that he came to my home to do it (This was an independent contractor, so I don't expect every one is done in this way.). I liked the pricing.

The problem is that it took some time to get the appointment made and the installcard website is difficult to work with and unresponsive. It is virtually impossible to talk with a human to find out what's up with the install process.

All that said, I was satisfied with this product and was very happy with the individual installer who did the work. It would be easy to fix what is wrong and I am hopeful that Installcard works on their appointment-setting process.

I purchased a new CD player for my car from Crutchfield and had read many reviews
about people who had never installed a car stereo before with the instructions from
crutchfield had success in doing so. I thought to myself well I guess I will give it a try,
however I am not mechanically inclined at all. So after ordering my stereo I just
happened to be looking around on the Crutchfield web site and saw this offer for
INSTALLCARD, so I called Crutchfield to have the card added to my order and was I
relieved I would have someone to install my CD player for me. I received the card in a
few days along with my CD player called and activated my card and by the next day the
folks at INSTALLCARD called me with a location not even five minutes from my home. I
called made a appointment for the next day and I had a new stereo working in my car in
less than 2 hours. The place where I went was great the technician did quality work, my
CD player looks like it was factory installed and I am very happy with my purchase.

I was waiting for some unknown, some kind of added cost or for the service not to live up
to my expectation. Not a problem!! The stereo was installed on the agread upon date
with no surprises or any added costs. The only issue I have is not knowing specfically
the name of the available installers to choose from when comparing one location to
another. As it turned out, all want 100% well with the random installer I selected.

I like to dabble in repairs and I have even worked on car audio a couple times in the
past. The problem that I always ran into was finding the time and having the right tools
to do the project. Considering that I purchased my new system in the dead of winter and
it ws for my wife's car who was very unhappy not having her CD player working,
the "InstallCard" was a great option! Crutchfield was great to send out the InstallCard
code so that I could set up the appointment with the installer before the actual card
arrived. The install facility that I worked with was excellent and worked with me to do the
installation I feel just as if I had purchased the system through them.

I bought this because I wasn't sure how long it would take me to install the car radio myself. Setting up the appointment and getting information was almost a breeze. It certainly took the guess work and time out of the equation. The only thing I didn't care for was that the InstallCard system doesn't tell you the exact location of the place before you finalize your selection. It only lets you select the city where you want to have your radio installed. Other then that, everything was great! Highly recommend!

That took all the stress out of it. I scheduled the appointment, brought the car in, handed them the install card and my keys, took my keys back in 45 minutes, and left with everything done and done well. No muss, no fuss, no hassle.

The only downside was that I had to wait until receiving the card before even calling to start the appointment process, and then it was several days before I was called with the name of a facility. So I had my new stereo for nearly a week before I could have it installed, even though the facility could have taken me sooner. A delay like that with a new toy is frustrating.

Angel and his crew were courteous, polite, and professional. They went a step beyond to make sure the system was set up the way I liked it. I will use them again when I install a new stereo and speakers in my motor home in a few weeks. I bought the card because I'm in a wheelchair and couldn't do the install myself. I researched prices and found that other installers will not use the equipment Crutchfield gives you (for example, wiring harness, face plate). The price without the card was 50 dollars more and not guaranteed like it is with the InstallCard.. Install took less than an hour. Crutchfield makes it so easy to install the unit but if you can't do it yourself, the InstallCard is a must. The card WILL save you money. I did find an installer within 15 miles. It looks great. My installer said he could do it the day the card came in the mail which was fantastic. I am very happy with the InstallCard.

I'm a bit confused by being given the option to select an installation date and time period when the installer said that no install times were available on those days. The installation had to be scheduled several days after our requested date.

On the plus side the installer did agree to come to my office.

On the not so good side, the installer did not correctly reinstall the factory storage box and now the lid will not close properly.

I was very disappointed with the InstallCard. I was supposed to be contacted within two days. After a week, I finally called InstallCard. They had not been able to find an installer in my area. They finally set me up with one many miles away. I went online to check this installer only to find several negative reviews. I ended up by finding my own installer in my city and returned the InstallCard for a refund. My impression was that the InstallCard folks were doing nothing more than using the Yellow Pages to find an installer. The installer they pointed me to did not even receive a good grade in their own ratings. I will not buy the InstallCard again.

They turned out to be a great choice, and it was done in an hour. I suspect the price was better this way, and I had Crutchfield in my corner should there have been any problems (which there haven't been.)

Do not buy this card if you live in the harrisburg, pa area. The service for this is horrible. They don't give you a priority when you call to book an appointment. As soon as they know you are using an InstallCard, they treat you as a second-class customer for some reason.

Go to a local store, same price for the install and it's done well.

I think it did saved me some money on installation, and the place that they chose for the installation was a reputable place. I even got the date I requested. The only problem I had was that I was not able to drop off the car early because they did not have a drop box for the keys.

The local installer was nice and courteous, but once we got the car home we noticed several things that suggest the installation may have been botched.

The radio unit is not firmly attached - the entire unit deflects under finger pressure, as though only one side of the unit is bolted to supports.

The radio unit rattles noticeably at highway speed.

The faceplate surround (provided by Crutchfield) deflects significantly (1/4 inch or more, enough to skin your knuckle) under light finger pressure, particularly at the top left corner.

The display does not dim when the car lights are turned on - installer error?

I'm thinking I may have to take the car to a local premium sound installer and ask them to fix these issues with a proper installation.

Very disappointed.

When I verified online that this installation location was near my house, it came up only a couple of miles away. However, when I activated the card, it forced me to go to an installation location 25 miles away.
They were quick to get me in, but when I left, I began hearing engine noise on the new radio.
I returned to the place a few days later (when I had a day off), to have them look at it. Unfortunately, they were closed for the day (weekday) and I hadn't noticed it on their sign.
So then I had to make the drive on yet another day. However, they did fix the problem. And I am happy with the installation now.
If I had it to do again, I don't think that I would purchase this card. I would prefer to go to a place close to my house, that I've used before (and looked like the location they showed on their site for validation (doesn't give company names)).
The only reason for the mediocre rating is because I had to drive such a distance, and do it multiple times. Their installation was fine (after making a small change).

Although I have done aftermarket installs myself, I chose to have a pro install for the convenience and warranty. Placed order online, got the card and receiver kit (complete with wiring harness, trim, & instuctions), made a call for an appointment, and had new sounds within a week of ordering. Newer cars are rather complicated, so when going from a factory system to aftermarket, I am glad I went with a pro install.

Did what/as promised ... got my stereo installed by an installer; and cheaper than I could have had it done by just going there!
BUT, be ready to WAIT -- I had to wait 5 days before finally getting any contact!!!
I could/would have installed myself, but as it is winter in Chicago, and I don't have a garage, I decided not to.
This does as promised, and my installation is GREAT -- the company did an EXCELLENT job; just be ready for some frustrating waiting from the installcard people!

Would be GREAT if you could activate the card when you place your order, thus buying you that waiting time while your product ships! (anyone from Crutchfield listening?)

This was reasonable, connected me with a local shop in my neighborhood. The installer was competent and credibly claimed to have been doing installs for 10 years. There were no hassles or extra charges for anything. Having the same installation done locally (from the estimates I got about buying a car radio from them) would have cost twice as much (especially when factoring in the wiring harness and dash pocket that Crutchfield included for free).

This was a great, to choose. I have done this many times my self but I'm very much into work so I let somebody else do this for me. I found that you use very custom shops for this deal. The shop that put in my unit in will do any custom work that you want done. They can even paint your wheels custom colors, flame jobs or what ever you want like chop your car who knows what else. The job they did looks the best, like a factory job.
I would do this again when I put the next one in my wife Honda in Januray.

It took a couple of days to get hooked up with the local installer but when I did the installation was painless for me. I did need to purchase a special cable to hook up my IPOD. It would have been nice if that cable was provided with the radio. I can understand why it was not; not everyone wants to hook up a IPOD so why provide it at a additional cost in the price of the product.

Bottom line is, I am very happy with the unit and the skills of the installer.

This item is definately easy if all you want is a basic installation with nothing extra. The disappointing part was that the place that actually did the installation actually said that they would have done the same installation for less than what I paid for the card.

The other part that was a hassle is that you have to activate it online and then wait for them to call so that you can schedule the installation. I could have scheduled mine at a more convenient time if I didn't have to wait three business days for them to call me after activating the card.

If all you need is a plain jane car stereo install this card is for you. If you want any other pieces (Bluetooth, Steering wheel controls, Ipod) then you have to buy the extra cards or talk with your installer about cost. I decieded to workout a price with the installer and ended up paying more than I would have liked for these extra components.

I had intended to install the dash unit myself until I started reading the wiring diagrams (whoa!). I then purchased the InstallCard instead. What a deal! Although I waited for the card to arrive before scheduling my appointment, the card number was e-mailed the same day of purchase so I could have moved ahead. Once I activated the card, I was contacted the next day with appointment times and date. The installer was less than 3 miles from my house and they completed the work in 30 minutes. The sound is great and I couldn't be more pleased! I definitely recommend the InstallCard.

Well worth the money to have this prepaid install card. I got the cards for
my double din stereo, my amp, and my front components speakers and rear
6x9;s. After i put in my order, Crutchfield emailed me my Installcard
numbers allowing me to setup an install date before my equipment even
arrived. This was a smart move because I was called by InstallCard people
the next day after choosing a custom install shop. I arranged to have them
look at my car before install date to make sure we were on same page for
install. Cost worth it! Example: Amp install card was only $75, but the
custom shop regular price was $150! I got the better end of this deal.
Plus, install is guaranteed!

Customer Service Slow

The install card customer service takes forever to respond to anything if
they respond at all. The hours are not very good. The way you go about
scheduling an appointment is a joke. You call a number and leave your
name and number and they will call you back. I did that and never got a call
back. I had to go online 3 days later and activate the card and still wait for
a call back. I waited another 3 days and called back to check on the status
only to be given the number of the local shop to schedule my own
appointment. Save yourself the time and call the local shop directly. I would
not recomend this service to anyone.

You can do it yourself for $0 with no guarantees that you'll get it right.

Or, you can spend $55 and be guaranteed to have it done right with no hassle.
Duh.



I was expecting the card to be the entry price with lots of hidden costs and
upselling pressure once the job was done. I had some additional wiring that I
needed to hook up my Ipod and XM Roady unit and that involved drilling into one of
the dash compartments so I knew I wasn't going to get away with just the cost of
the install card. When they told me I had the wrong input cable for my Roady, I
asked them to supply one figuring that I was already into the additional charges
anyway.




Worth every penny.

un-responsive local installer, I decided to give this a try.
Got the card with my stereo and called the 800 number, found an installer
in the town just north of me.
Scheduled and installed without issue, and the installer was extreamly
professional. In fact, I am going back for speakers next week.

The Install Card was excellent, and WELL worth the cost! I can't emphasize that enough - $55 for professional installation is one of the better deals you're ever going to get. The installer scheduled at my convenience (Sunday morning), and came to MY house. All I had to do was get out of bed and unlock the car. He was done in less than an hour, the installation looks great, and he ran the iPod cable into the glove compartment for me. I had initially tried to install the stereo myself, and although I am quite handy, I found it impossible to fit all the cables behind the new stereo. I also didn't have the expertise to run the iPod cable into the glove compartment (which required some disassembly/reassembly). After seeing how quickly, and how nicely, the pro installed the thing, I was kicking myself for even bothering to try installing it myself. Do yourself a favor: unless you've removed your existing stereo and are sure there's plenty of room in there for the new one (and whatever cables and harnesses might come with it), and you're sure you have the expertise to do whatever may be required to run an iPod or other cable where you want it, order the InstallCard when you order your stereo!

Before going with the InstallCard I received an installation quote from a company who was a partner with InstallCard (I did not know that at that time of the quote). I decided to go with InstallCard and the affiliated installation company ended up being the same dealer who was $50 higher. I highly recommend this service.

Since I saw the other rave reviews, and I'm not very mechanically inclined, I thought this would be a great option for me....but not so much. It took a couple weeks for me to get my stereo installed. First I was referred to a local installer that was not very reliable...didn't return phone calls, then set up an appointment and didn't show up or call to cancel/reschedule it. The second installer was much better, but he was going to charge an additional $25 fee to do the installation at my site (even though he was a mobile installer who didn't have a site of his own for me to go to). But I still give them at least a three rating because the InstallCard people were very responsive to the problems that I was having and genuinely seemed to want to make it right. In the end, the stereo was installed, by a professional, in about an hour, and is working great. It would have taken me much longer than that to do it myself, and I would have worried that I messed something up inside the dash.

Oustanding Investment

I just happened to see this item available before I pushed the final "buy" button. And let me tell you this is perhaps the best thing to purchase here on Crutchfield right after you get a receiver for your vehicle. I simply input my registration number into the Install Net web page. 20 minutes later I receive a telephone call telling me who to contact to confirm my installation appointment. I called the shop and they said COME DOWN NOW and we can install it.

It was only 1 1/2 hours! From my registration number input @ 9:00am until 10:30am I was driving my car and new stereo out of the installation center!

Don't overlook this detail when buying a stereo... It saved me hours and many many dollars trying to locate a shop and negotiating a price! The shop knew about the card and the Install Net service and were GLAD to see me!!! YEAH Crutchfield

The $55.00 InstallCard was worth every penny and more? The manager and staff at Electronics 2000 were helpful, prompt and efficient. I was in and out in less than 1 hour and the unit was installed perfectly! Crutchfield and their Install network are first rate in customer service!!

Easy and Simple

Being the first one to riview this i was a bit skeptical. i purchesed the card because other places i went to charged to install my unit for $100. i knew their had to be another way for cheaper so i gave this a try.
it is great, you first call installnet to confirm your card number and information about where you live(crutchfield is even nice enough to send you your card number before your package arrives!).next you wait for two days for them to send the phone number of the nearest shop. call, confirm and scheule your appontment. go give them yor card, and thats it! very easy and it looks and sound great. its also garenteed for the life of your veicle. im very glad. im now going to buy the card to install my powered sub. great for any one!
