With a prepaid InstallCard, you can have your new in-dash or all-in-one headrest video system (headrest with pre-installed video screen and built-in DVD player) installed by any professional who's a member of the InstallerNet Network — which boasts more than 1,500 members across the country. This card covers only the installation of an in-dash DVD receiver or an all-in-one headrest video screen. The installer will charge you extra for installing any add-on devices (iPod adapter, Bluetooth adapter, satellite radio, steering wheel remote, etc.) that come with your DVD receiver.
Simple. The installer was nearby and very happy to get another customer for the day. This company did vehicle sound and light upgrades and was very good at it. I couldn't be happier.

I WOULD SAY ANYONE THAT COMES TO YOUR PLACE OF BUSINESS OR HOME AND INSTALLS A SYSTEM KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. . I FELT REALLY BAD FOR THE GUY BECAUSE HE HAD TO COME OUT THREE TIMES. ON THE FIRST VISIT HE COULDN'T GET IT TO POWER UP AT ALL. I CALLED TECH SUPPORT AT CRUTCHFIELD AND THEY THOUGHT IT WAS THE CRUX WIRING HARNESS SO THEY SENT ME ;ANOTHER ONE. HE CAME OUT A SECOND TIME AND GOT IT TO POWER UP BUT THE STEERING CONTROLS OR ONSTAR WOULD;T WORK. DID SOME KIND OF A BYPASS. ONCE I GOT THE NEW HARNESS HE CAME BACK OUT AGAIN AT MY P-LACE OF WORK, AND WITHIN AN HOUR BINGO, EVERYTHING WORKED, INCLUDING THE SIRIUS.
Pros: GOOD INSALLER WHO USED TO OWN 2 OKC STEREO STORES, SO HE KNEW HIS BUSINESS. THE KEY IS HE NEVER LOST PATIENCE. SAID FROM THE START IT WAS A BAD HARNESS, SO WAS VERY UPFRONT.
Cons: JUST THE HASSLE OF THREE APPOINTMENTS FOR THE SAME ISSUE. AT LEAST HE CAME TO MY PLACE INSTEAD OF HAVING TO TAKE IT IN THREE TIMES.

I received my Install card and went online to activate it. That part was easy. I selected my install location and set up my appointment date. I received notice that I would have a response in 1-3 bus days. A week and a half later I got notification that my service was being scheduled for an entirely different location farther awar than other choices I had available to me. I called the installer and got a voice mail box. I left a message. I called a few more time since then and continue to get a voicemail. I have not yet had my installation scheduled. I think this is a sham. I have had my stereo for maybe a month and it is still not installed. I will not be recommending or suggesting Crutchfield to anyone in the future. If I could Get all my money back I would return everything.

Installcard is perfect for anyone who doesn't really know what they are doing. I brought my car to the shop and it was installed in 30 minutes. There was a feedback issue which the installer identified as relating to the factory amp on my 99 Landcruiser. He bypassed the amp and now it sounds perfect- with no loss of clarity or volume.

Crutchfield charged $109.99 for this. Installer was credited $83.00 to do installation, which he would not do for less than $260 (standard fee WITHOUT any extras or unforseen problems/parts). When customer service was asked why there was a huge delta he danced and danced, but ultimately Crutchfield does not have a working relatonship with their installers. Now I have a box of stuff and STILL is not installed.
Pros: Crutchfield returned my full purchase price, even after card was activated.
Cons: Installation has yet to occur, no remedy in sight.
We would not have purchased the radio without the Install-Card. My husband is into finance, stocks, and numbers. Installing a radio would have been very scary!

After purchasing this from Crutchfield I decided to do some research whether it was worth the money I payed for it. I read numerous reviews on other websites & could find not one good review of this product. This product's reviews had one common theme, every person who had used this product had to pay extra for their installation. I'm not talking about $ 20 or 30 dollars more I mean it seemed like most people were paying at least $ 60 or more. Apparently the service takes about 40% percent of the card's worth and the installer has the right to charged you to make up the difference for labor fees. So what are you paying for right? Your paying for the service to find you an accredited installer but even then I read about thirty reviews about how even that process was horrible. According to the installer website once you activate the card (online or by phone), you can't get a refund. So after failing on my own to find a local installer, I realized that the crutchfield Harrisonburg store was 2 hours away from me so I cancelled the install card and made an appointment with them and had to pay only $ 15 more than I had for the install card. It was totally out of my way but they did a great job and finished earlier then was estimated. However I realized it was probably because my install was pretty straight forward, had no add ons and no steering wheels controls to work around.Best wishes trying to use this product,do your own research first.
Overview: With this InstallCard (42-1007) a professional installer will either (a) remove your factory car stereo radio and install your aftermarket in-dash mobile video DVD player (most vehicles require an installation kit and/or wiring harness which is sold separately); or (b) remove one factory headrest and install an aftermarket mobile video headrest with built-in DVD player. Additional installation charges may apply for optional video sources such as games, navigation, or VCR/DVD player.

Installation Warranty: Each installation performed using an InstallCard comes with a nationwide limited lifetime labor warranty. If at any time, the installed product becomes inoperable due to a faulty installation the installer will correct the problem at no charge.
Defective Equipment: If the equipment is found to be defective at the time of installation, the installer will remove the defective unit and reinstall a replacement unit (supplied by the customer) at no additional charge. If the installed equipment fails later, after leaving the installation shop, and it is determined that the malfunction is not caused by the installation, the installer will remove and replace the defective unit with a new unit supplied by the customer, and the customer will be responsible for a removal and reinstallation charge which will not exceed 50% of the original installation charge.
