Install Card

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Hard to use in my area of SC. The cost verses what they pay the installer is very good.

Great idea, decent price

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought an alarm and once looking at the directions, knew I couldn't do it. So I bought this card. I do have to say I wish it would have listed the installers first so I could choose where I wanted to go instead of just who was in the zip code I typed in. Also, this experience did teach me to shop around. Not only did I pay more for the card than the installation was, I also had to pay the sales tax on the labor so the overall price was more. The installers were great, professional and quick. Overall, it's a good idea, just not sure if I would do it again.

Not a good experience

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Will never purchase this card again. First of all I paid this much for the card. When I arrived to get the alarm installed I was told that InstallerNet was only covering $100 and I would have to pay the balance. Of course I was angry and called installernet. I explained the situation and the young lady tells me that Autohaus was not suppose to tell me how much they covered and that everyone (meaning Crutchfield and Installernet had to profit from the purchase of the card. Of course that made me even more annoyed so I asked to speak to a manager who wasn't that much more helpful. They ended up covering the price I paid for the card but I still had to come out of pocket $75. Let's just say I wasn't a happy camper being that I thought by purchasing the Installernet card that the install would be taken care of. NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE AN INSTALLERNET CARD!!!!

Basic Install with Install Card

Written By jeric, Whittier, CA on Friday, July 09, 2010

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I noticed in the other reviews that some were disappointed with their alarm install using the Install Card. I think what some don't understand is that if your vehicle isn't equiped with certain features (ie keyless entry or power door locks) your not going to get much more than a basic install with this card. And your alarm may have tons of features that just aren't do-able with your vehicle without purchasing more gizmos and possibly more labor.

I used this card to install an alarm on a Jeep with keyless entry. There were no hidden additional charges, the new key fobs from the alarm now replace the old and it works great. The shop was very curteous, professional and timely.

Saved me from spending (or wasting) a Saturday, pulling my hair out trying to figure out wiring diagrams and schematics.

Good for basic install

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This was good installation was done in about 3 hours. It's just a shame I was told i needed door actuators, keyless entry, when I didn't, so I bought something for nothing, but it's ok. The system works fine, maybe my installer wasn't the best, i'll probably have to go back to get the sensitivity upped.
All in all good card for basic install.

Great Idea, Decent Product

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The card is used specifically for a simple alarm. Extra features like remote start or installing power locks for the alarm are not included. I asked a crutchfield advisor and he told me they would be covered by this card. Notes for this card should read that it is simply for a basic installation. It is a good idea with no explanation for what it really is though.
