Customer Q&A

Q
Can these be used to charge a 2 farad capacitor? If so which one would you suggest using.

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: You don't necessarily need a resistor in order to charge a capacitor. The car battery will actually charge it for you, though it's a bit slower. We recommend charging the capacitor outside the system first so it's fully charged before you integrate it into your audio setup. The capacitor's we carry will stop flashing when it's fully charged, but I know we don't carry any 2-farad capacitors (we only have 1.5 and 3.0-farad) so I don't know exactly how the one you have is going to indicate when it's fully charged. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.
