Get more control over your vehicle's security system
Many cars today feature an immobilizer security system that won't allow the car to start without first sensing the presence of a chip imbedded in the key or key fob. The XpressKit DBALL2 module tells your vehicle through its databus that it's okay for an aftermarket remote start or security system to start the engine or unlock the doors without that chip.
The XpressKit DBALL2 module works in even more vehicles than the original DB-ALL module, and is compatible with all Viper, Directed, and Python security systems, as well as most other brands.
Simplifies your security wiring
A single data-to-data harness connects your Viper (or other Directed) system to the DBALL2, so you don't have to hard wire your security system to a lot of door locks, solenoid releases, and other sensors — you'll save a huge amount of installation time. The DBALL2 module usually connects to your vehicle through 2 to 6 hardwired data connections, but we do carry some vehicle-specific T-Harnesses that make that connection much easier (call for details). Your DBALL2 module will come pre-programmed for your specific vehicle, so you'll have total control over locking and unlocking doors, starting the engine, arming and disarming the factory alarm, and any other computerized function your vehicle can perform.
Even simpler installation for remote start-ready vehicles
Many vehicles are remote-start-ready. If you own one of these, you probably won't even need a separate remote start system — just use an XpressKit DBALL2 and a T-Harness (if available). To activate the remote start, you'll need to press "Lock" three times on your factory remote. For extended range, add a Viper SmartStart module to control your vehicle remotely by smartphone. If you're not sure if your vehicle qualifies, check the XpressKit site, or give one of our Advisors a call at 1-888-955-6000.
Important: If you know how to use a multimeter and have experience working with your vehicle's electrical system, you should be able to install this car security equipment. If you're unfamiliar with installing car security equipment, please speak to one of our Advisors before attempting this installation. Professional installation is highly recommended.
Note: You must identify your vehicle to order an XpressKit DBALL2 module online. Or, if you prefer, call an Advisor at 1-888-955-6000 to make sure you get the bypass module programmed for your exact vehicle.

Features
Overview: The XpressKit DB-ALL2 module, along with numerous vehicle-specific harnesses, will interface with the factory wiring of hundreds of vehicles to help you install a car security system, remote start system, or keyless entry system. It is optimized to integrate with security and remote start systems from Viper, Python, Clifford, Avital, Autostart, Astrostart, and Automate, and features multi-bus and advanced OBD2 connectivity for SmartStart remote start systems. DB-ALL2 is RSR (remote start ready) and RXT (remote extender ready) compatible, with customizable features with Xpress VIP. By plugging between factory wiring harnesses, the DB-ALL2 saves you time by preventing much of the cutting and splicing usually required for installation. Some hardwiring is still required in most cases. Professional installation is recommended.
Flash Required: The DB-ALL2 module must be programmed with the latest vehicle-specific firmware before it is installed. This requires flashing with an XKLoader2 and a computer loaded with VIP4.2 software. Please contact your Crutchfield advisor or consult the Crutchfield Car Selector to find out if the DB-ALL2 is compatible with your vehicle.
Compatibility: The module is an all-in-one door lock and override module that is compatible with over 95% of the cars that are on the road today. It supports legacy systems, such as VATS and PASSLOCK, as well as support door locks and override on many modern vehicles, including Toyota with push-start ignition systems and Chrysler with electronic ignition. Compatible makes include: Audi, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hummer, Hyundai, Infiniti, Isuzu, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Porsche, Saab, Saturn, Suzuki, Toyota, and Volkswagen.
