I'm very pleased with my TomTom 730. Works nicely, as advertised. I find the menus easy to use. Calculates routes quickly. One thing I like is that if there are two ways to travel, and it likes one and you decide to go another, before you've headed 100 yards on the other route, it updates with the alternative route and picks it up. One reason I bought this model was the bluetooth interface. Easy to use, and I have it pairing with my work phone (Bby) and my personal phone (Razr). Easy to switch back and forth, to get the phone book, and the voice quality both on the remote end and the speaker is good enough that I leave my headset at home now. I've tried some of the ancillary features (loading MP3's, pictures, etc.) onto an SD card, but that's more a curiousity than useful. The ability to load txt or html and pull that up is useful; e.g. for storing directions, phone #, notes. Accuracy is good. I've noticed some oddities with small roads, but that's the underlying map. Speed readout checks with my speedometer and registers quickly. Only problem I've had with it is that I've had a couple of times when the audio stopped working (once while on a call, and once it just stopped giving me directions). Sounds like a software glitch to me. Restarted the device and it was fine. The computer software is lame, however...minimal functionality, poorly written user interface. It works but it's quirky and does crash from time to time. I'm on a Mac, maybe it's better on a PC...

Simply The Best!

I purchased this for my grandson's birthday after doing a ot of research.
He loves it and all the many features.
In CA. we have to have hands free driving so he mounted it on the dash, receives all of his cell phone calls through the Tom Tom.
He also has the leather case and simply removes it from the car and into the case and carries it in his pocket when he leaves the car.

Very pleased with the Go 730

Overall this unit seems like a great bang-for-your-buck. I purchased this, and it really is packed with features. I'm glad I went with the TomTom Go 730, and would recommend it to anyone in the market for one. I've had some experience with other brands (Garmin, Magellan) and didn't like their menus, features, or price tag.
Other users have complained about the suction cup mount, a washed-out screen due to sunlight - neither has been anything major in the month or so I've owned it. No problems using the Home software on my Apple computer either.
Routing is spot-on and quick, even after power-on or after a missed turn.
Main selling point for me is the ability to add/remove/edit Points of Interest. As large as a company's POI bank can be (Garmin brags that they have more), there's always going to be something missing. I was able to add a missing grocery store in only a couple of minutes, and this didn't require a map update or using the MapShare feature at all.
Highly recommended! Plus, Crutchfield had this in my hands in under 3 days :-)
