Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
I had looked all over the web for a slide-under-sofa type table. Always came back to the BDI Bink. Everything out there seemed to be über-cheap in cost and quality, until ya get to the $600 price range! I originally came across this BDI model due to my search for quality AV cabinets. although Salamander Synergy won that battle, I was still impressed with the BDI line. Bink has a low profile with its shape and matte colors, I ordered the Earl. It has a surprising amount of surface area to use for food and drink, and after breakies it does double duty for a laptop, coffee, and remote. The base is slightly heavier than the top, so it's plenty stable. Just 3 long thru bolt hold it all snug from the bottom, all with an impeccable fit and finish. The 24" height was what I wanted to fit over the 24"arm on my love seat, but I didn't account for the 3/16" top of the Bink... So it would be perfect to go over an arm 23 13/16" in height ;)~ I want another!
Pros: Stable, solid, functional, low-profile, slides easy on carpet. Wish I could justified the purchase of two from the get-go! Crutchfield is a great company with no tax if you're not in Virginia. Do it.
Cons: Watch your knuckles when flailing hands react to the game! It's heavy metal \\^^// content delivers quite a ring if it's bumped and under no load. Ships from the manufacturer. BDI must require a signature from UPS... It didn't get delivered the first attempt due to this, even though we live rural with a large dry porch.
