The gently curving front of the OLA 8137 cabinet adds a touch of sophistication to your entertainment room. The tinted glass doors of the side panels are also curved, and present the illusion that they wrap around the sides of the cabinet.

The Ola 8137 easily supports a flat-panel or rear-projection TV with a screen size of up to 73" and weighing up to 150 lbs. With an optional Arena 9972 bracket, you can even mount your flat-panel TV above the cabinet without drilling into your wall.

Store up to eight components

BDI Ola 8137

The cabinet features three compartments for your components, each with an adjustable shelf. The left and right side compartments have curved, grey glass doors. The tinted glass elegantly shows off your system while allowing remote control signals to pass through to your gear. Use the open middle compartment for your center channel speaker. It's also a great place to store your CDs, DVDs or Blu-ray discs.

Concealed ventilation slots keep your gear running cool, even with the doors closed. Hidden wheels built into the frame let you easily move the cabinet away from the wall for cleaning your system or hooking up a new component.

Customer Q&A

Q
How does the wire management and surge protector installed?.

A
In the back there are easy to remove panels, as well as wire through holes. Mounting a surge protector could be done double side tape or screwed into the stand, I personally attached it to the wall then just routed my cables through the hole and out to the wall. The sliding / removable panels certainly keep the wires in place and provide a clean look from the back.

We have not received any answers from other customers on your question. I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They should be able to help answer your question.

Q
What is the depth from the middle of the curve (narrowest point) to the back? The specs list the depth as 21.25 at the edge but fail to mention the depth at the narrowest point. I'm asking because I have a short throw projector that needs to be placed a minimum distance from the wall.

The middle of the stand is 18in from the back the the curve ( narrowest point). The outer depth is 21 inches away from the curve.

Thanks. I prefer minimal glare or lights when watching movies or tv at nite, do not want it to look like the cockpit of a jet.
michael  Mar 11, 2018
A
I'd say minimal, and lower than the one from the LED TV. I would never have noticed if you hadn't asked.

Q
Can this be set up as a floating console?
chris  May 11, 2020
3 answers
A
Based on how it's constructed, I don't think the rear panel material could hold the weight of a TV if it was attached to a wall with a bracket. The only way it could work is if you had custom steel brackets that could be anchored into the studs such that the console rested on them (Without the legs attached) thus creating the floating look.
matthew  May 12, 2020
A
It is not set up for that type application from the factory, I would imagine with some ingenuity it could be done however as the legs need to be screwed in upon delivery. I would worry about weight as this is not a light piece of furniture.
erik  May 11, 2020
A
In order to make it float you would have to attach the back of the cabinet to the walk. The cabinet is not structured such that this would work. However, if you really wanted it to float, you could probably use some wood blocking and /or some steel braces to Jerry-rig something together remembering that it will have to support quite a bit of weight ( the eight of the tv stand and the weight of the tv and associated cable boxes)
