BDI Cirrus 8157

Overview

Our take on the BDI Cirrus 8157

The cabinet features three compartments for your components, each with an adjustable shelf. The left and right side compartments have wood-paneled sliding glass doors. The tinted glass elegantly shows off your system while allowing remote control signals to pass through to your gear. Use the open middle compartment for your center channel speaker. It's also a great place to store your CDs, DVDs or Blu-ray discs.

House your audio/video system in BDI's simple, modern-looking Cirrus 8157, and add a touch of elegance to your entertainment room. This lowboy cabinet easily supports a flat-panel or rear-projection TV with a screen size of up to 60" and weighing up to 200 lbs. With an optional Arena 9970 bracket, you can even mount your flat-panel TV above the cabinet without drilling into your wall.

Concealed ventilation slots keep your gear running cool, even with the doors closed. Hidden wheels built into the frame let you easily move the cabinet away from the wall for cleaning your system or hooking up a new component.

Finish and look are great. Bought this because of larger center shelf area as my center speaker would not fit in most 60-65 inch cabinets. Would have given 5 stars in not for problem with cam lock.

All I can say is over the years I have owned alot of $200-$300 entertainment centers and stands and I finally owned up and bought a high dollar one and all I can say is worth every penny. One the look of this things is awesome very clean and organized. The whole thing more than fits my large Onkyo receiver, no more sticking out the front and not fitting in small slots, BDI builds this stuff for true Home Theater enthusiasts. It is well vented, real wood construction and very solid. If you are looking for good Home Theater furniture this is the company to go with. PLus all I had to do was put on the legs and snap the sliding glass doors in other than that it came pre assembled AWESOME!!!!!

Pros: Heavy Duty, Real Wood, Well Vented, Mostly Pre Assembled Designed for Large Equipement

Cons: None

Great quality. The glass doors are very nice as they are surrounded by wood trim and slide effortlessly. I'm also using the BDI Arena 9970 TV mount, which works well with this cabinet and keeps the TV off of the cabinet and wall. Great combo. The only issue I have with this cabinet is that it's not deep enough. Both my receiver and DVD player are the same depth as the cabinet so when cables are connected, I can't use the back covers. This is not an issue if you are backing it up against a wall.

Pros: Great quality and very nice looking

Cons: Could be deeper
