All home theater and flat-panel TV installations include:
  • Pre-installation phone survey to review actual work to be performed and to confirm installation appointment.
  • A pre-installation site survey upon the installer's arrival at your home will be completed, and if applicable, any additional charges will be quoted and approved prior to the start of the job.
  • Programming of up to two non-learning remote control devices to operate connected components.
  • Cleanup of work area, including removing any packaging from your home.
  • Limited professional installation labor warranty for one year.
  • Obtain your satisfaction sign-off on completed work order.
The Deluxe Audio + Video Component Installation includes:
  • Connecting your newly purchased audio and/or video components in one room.
  • The integration of newly purchased audio and/or video component(s) into a preexisting, functioning system, located in the same room. Audio or video components include: TV, VCR, DVD, DVR, Internet TV, video game unit, audio receiver, amplifier, CD player, CD recorder, audio tape deck, MiniDisc player, home theater speaker system (up to five speakers), and/or home-theater-in-a-box.
  • Placing speakers on shelf or floor (does not include mounting speakers on wall or brackets).
  • Neatly connecting and grouping all wires and cables. Does not include hiding wires in walls or drilling holes.
  • An educational demonstration of the newly purchased audio and video components (up to 20 minutes).

A Crutchfield Audio/Video Designer will contact you to ensure that you have everything necessary for your installation. You will then be contacted by INSTALLS inc within 48 hours to schedule your installation appointment. You can reach INSTALLS inc at 1-800-344-4856 (9am-10pm ET, 7 days a week).

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I feel I am being generous with the rating. Three times men had to come to try to hook up my two new Marantz components and in the end they are hook up but it was very stressful for me. The men try their best but I think all of them need more training and education on hookups.

Pros: Try hard to do what was asked of them and to please.

Cons: Took three visits and still not perfect setup. Took much less than an hour and no explanation of anything.

The installer was very nice, more than willing to explain his steps and took less than two hrs. to complete. I am very satisfied with the service.

Pros: Did a great job setting up the unit

Cons: Was about twenty - thirty minutes late.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It all looked so easy plug the TV into the reciever with a HDMI cable and turn it on - not. Crutchfield recomended an outside installer after many many hours on the phone with their support people. The installer showed up on time and got everything to work. It turns out that the smart TV needs to have some tweeking when it is attached to the smart Reciever - they were working to out smart each other. The installer left his card and offered to answer any followup questions. Great job. Confirmed the appointment within the promised 48 hours and was on time for th eappointment.

Pros: Timely, efficent aqnd effective

Cons: None

Installs Inc. called and set up and installation date for May 4th between noon and 5 pm. I arranged my schedule to be at home. At 5pm nobody had showed. At 5:05 I called them. I was transfered to at least 5 different people, having to explain the situation each time. The final transfer was at approx. 5:55 to a phone that rang but never answered. I let it ring for 5 mins. 90% of this 55 min. transaction I was on hold. The other 10% I was repeating myself to different people. They knew I was scheduled but didn't know why it was cancelled. So they didn't show and I wasn't afforded a reschedule. I want a refund or have them do it for free. Bad cust. perform.
