Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I'm disappointed that Marantz doesn't have this feature standard on their upper end receivers. Now I have purchased it I'm very happy. A must have.

Pros: Simply to install , the cord is long enough to maneuver into different locations.

Cons: Range is very limited, could be a lot better. Sitting on counter top in direct view works great but move out the screen door same distance and your losing reception.

Not So Great

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

My Mac Mini, iPhone, and Nexus 7 all initially pair with this device fine. Then when I go to reconnect to actually play music, the connection fails, from all three. I try to delete pairings and re-add them with the same effect. Pretty useless. Clear line of sight in a 12x12 room.

Pros: Its small

Cons: Price. Functionality.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This adds Bluetooth capability, but the range seems to be very limited. The additional ir receive is what swayed me to make the purchase. Could have been better though

Pros: Bluetooth connectivity

Cons: Bluetooth range is about 10 feet if there is a wall between device

Amazing. Wonderful. Easy to install. Love it!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Easy to install into my Marantz NR1603. Easy to link to from my MacBook Pro. Now I can stream my iTunes library to the home system! This is fantastic. Worked first time. Love it love it love it. The NR1603 is a wonderful piece of sound gear. This RX101 is the missing link. With this final add-on, can't imagine ever having to replace it .. like .. ever.

Pros: Easy to install. Lets me access my iTunes music library. Sounds gear through the Marantz NR1603 receiver. Fantastic!

Cons: None. None.

The Marantz RX101 is a must buy for adding Bluetooth capabilities to you Marantz sound system...Digital sounds from my IPhone are outstanding. Minor issue when moving the IPhone approximately 10 feet (Not 30 foot as stated in the manual) from the RX101 device sounds digitize. BTW setup was under 3 minutes

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

a lot of Marantz units supports the A2DP standard of the Bluetooth profile. For those that do, just plug in the RX-101 unit into the MX-Port. Paring a iPod, iPhone, iPad, or any recent apple computer to this RX-101 unit is fairly easy. Marantz will show up as one of the bluetooth options. To do this, switch the input source to "M-XPortYou will be able to wirelessly play any music in you iTunes library or any audio podcast on your apple devices. I am sure it works as easy with android products, but I am not versed in that equipment. Works Great, it is easy, and its Wireless.

Pros: Works very will with Apple iProducts for audio formats.

Cons: If you already have "Apple T.V" it is redundant.

No App Control

Written by: ChrisC from LA, CA on January 5, 2012

no app control

Pros: Bluetooth worked for music transmission, but I already had that with appletv. I wanted to control the marantz 5005 from the iphone over bluetooth with the marantz ap. When the RX101 said you could got music and control over bluetooth I thought the app would work - but it doesn't. I would recommend getting the marantz with airplay.

Cons: no app control
