Game-changing surround sound technology doesn't come around that often. But it has arrived with the Marantz SR7009. Its Dolby Atmos® capability breaks new ground by projecting sound from above your seating positions. Sound cool? We certainly think so. And it's just one of this receiver's many features. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth offer numerous ways to listen to music from a wide variety of digital sources. Multi-room audio and video processing can extend your theater beyond its walls. And because it says "Marantz" on the front panel, you can bet it's all going to sound so good, you may even shed a tear.
Dolby's latest surround sound technology was designed to bring a new level of immersion to your home theater. By employing in-ceiling speakers or special Atmos enabled upward-firing speakers that reflect sound off your ceiling, Dolby Atmos offers a greater sense of space for sound that's more three-dimensional. Already at work in film production studios and many movie theaters, Dolby Atmos represents a huge step in putting more "theater" into your home theater.
The SR7009 lets you add two overhead or up-firing speakers (sometimes called "height" or "top" speakers) to a conventional seven-channel system — this is referred to as a 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos setup. Here's a breakdown of all the Dolby Atmos speaker configurations this receiver supports:
You can use one or two subwoofers with any of these configurations.
If much of your music listening takes place in the digital domain, you'll be impressed with the SR7009's many digital music features. Built-in Wi-Fi makes it easy to connect to your home network. From there, you can play music wirelessly from networked computers and NAS drives. Apple® users can stream tunes from an iPhone®, iPad®, iPod touch®, or a computer running iTunes® with AirPlay. Or, connect your iPod® or iPhone to the front-panel USB port and control it with the receiver's remote.
Android™ users will appreciate Bluetooth connectivity, for wirelessly streaming audio from any app on your device. Spotify® and SiriusXM subscribers can listen to their favorite playlists or stations. Plus, there's built-in support for Pandora® and hundreds of free online radio streams. Into high-resolution music? The SR7009 can play files with sampling rates up to 24-bit/192kHz, as well as DSD files.
Any receiver can power speakers in a single room. But it takes a real beast to power speakers in three separate rooms at the same time. The SR7009 is just such a beast, allowing you to play music from three different sources at once in three separate rooms. It's a great way to put some of those extra speaker outputs to use if you're not using all nine channels in your home theater. Want to add video to another room? The Zone 2 HDMI output allows you to watch different video content simultaneously in each zone. There's also a third HDMI output for connecting both a projector and a TV in your main zone.
The 4K Ultra HD revolution is here. The SR7009 offers 4K picture quality with your Ultra HD TV and can upscale lower-resolution signals to 4K. This ensures you'll get crisp, clear picture quality with all your video sources. This receiver is not HDCP 2.2-compliant and will not support copy-protected 4K video content.
A feature-packed receiver like the SR7009 is only as good as your ability to set it up and control it. That's another area where this receiver excels. Marantz's setup assistant guides you through all your connections and settings right out of the box. Just connect your TV with an HDMI cable and you'll be ready to get started. Audyssey's Platinum suite of speaker calibration offers some cool features, including independent calibration for dual subwoofers.
When your system is ready to roll, download the free Marantz Remote app for your Apple or Android device. It's an easy way to control your receiver over Wi-Fi, giving you an intuitive touchscreen interface to change sources, play digital music, and operate key features.
Your receiver powers your speakers and lets you connect and select your entertainment sources. But a great receiver does a lot more it ignites your emotions. From the passion of a favorite musical artist, to the crossfire of a super-charged movie soundtrack, to the intensity and immersion of a fast-paced video game, your receiver is the key to experiencing and enjoying it in full.
Pros: ease of use and great sound quality
Cons: Marantz app for iphone is not the best.. could be improved
This is an upgrade from my Yamaha rx671 and it was worth every penny. The sound quality is amazing.Atmos processing is one the best out there. Im runnig this with paradigm speaker 7.2 Velodine subs two of then Oppo dvd. Beleive me this receive does it all. If your not interested in the 4k ....take it, for this price you wont loose.... Another thing is the room correction system...for me worked fine. Corrected the problems of my subs.... 10 stars for this product
Pros: Amazing sound....did i say amazing
Considering I was able to buy it for less than the SR6009 it was a bargain! The sound quality is amazing, I love being able to listen to so many internet radio stations and HD FM sounds great as well. I upgraded from a Marantz SR5003, which was a bargain for it's time as well many years ago.
I don't have a lot to say, this is an awesome rig, minus HDCP 2.2, so if you must have this, you'll be paying a premium for the newest SR7010. I'm happy with my purchase and I hope Marantz does the right thing and allows this model to be firmware upgraded to HDCP 2.2 at some point.
Pros: Awesome sound, surround sounds fantastic, oh, did I mention it sounds great? It looks fantastic, I love just having the blue ring on, looks classy.
Cons: No HDCP 2.2 while touting this as a 4K beast and not allowing for a firmware upgrade to this standard means I will have to run an HDMI cable to the TV and one to the AVR if and when I get a 4K Blu-Ray player and 4K TV, not happening any time soon. The configuration in the set up can get confusing, the android app can forget how to get to the AVR and take long time to load, even when the AVR is on a static IP. The app needs to be able to do more. Auro-3D $200.00 upgrade, seriously?
Replaced my old SR7000 with this unit and love it. Setup was easy, just follow the on screen instructions. Network setup was also simple...the unit does all the configuration automatically. The features it has are great, particularly Pandora and internet radio. Sound is awesome, even with my old Cambridge Soundworks speakers. I only have it set up for 5.1 and have plenty of room to add on...looking forward to adding Atmos enabled speakers in the near future. I did not do the Auro 3-D upgrade per other reviews...would have been good to have a description of the upgrade when it asked if I wanted to do it...I only knew what it was after reading reviews before I purchased the unit. Marantz app might not be as "slick" as others, but works well enough for me. Overall, very happy with my purchase!
Pros: Great sound, great features. Clean look, easy setup.
The feature set of this receiver is quite impressive. Excecution leaves a lot to be desired. One of the main reasons I purchased this receiver was for it's multi-zone capability. Unfortunately, when streaming online music, the zones are out of sync. The music in my kitchen was a half second behind the music in my main zone, which made listening simultaneously impossible. This receiver will drive a pair of 4-ohm speakers, BUT, at high volume levels it gets quite hot, despite only 2 channels being driven. This is a concern for longevity of the receiver. If you plan on doing this make sure your cabinet is well ventilated. The droid app... it's terrible. Not polished whatsoever. I thought Onkyo's app was bad, this is worse. About every other week my zone 2 would just vanish from the app and require a remove and reinstall to see it again. Rarely would the app actually tell me what was playing on SiriusXM, it would just get stuck and not update. Frequently when the unit powers up, nothing happens. On several occasions I had to power it on and off 3-4 times before the signal would come through. Also, the HDMI pass through didn't work well. If you have music playing on zone 2 or 3, forget about pass through on your main zone, it doesn't work... So if you want music playing on any zone while a sporting event is passing through to your TV with no sound, forget it. Last but not least, the most recent firmware update bricked my receiver. Now its stuck in a update loop. Thanks, Marantz!
Pros: Impressive feature set. Multiple zones can output multiple sources. 9 powered channels. Plethora of connectivity options. Wireless available. Streams Pandora, SiriusXM, and more.
Cons: Quirky. Sometimes needs to be powercycled just to output picture and sound. Terrible droid app. Bottom third of volume range is barely audible. Zones are out of sync with same source. Nearly impossible interface without TV on. HDMI pass through is buggy. Runs hot and distorts at high volume driving 4-ohm load in stereo. Firmware update bricked unit.
This is replacing a Denon 788 for a 5.1 with a zone 2 ( lanai ). Great sound and fairly easy to setup. A lot of options to tweak to perfection. You will spend a little time with all sound options if you are a discerning listener (which if you are thinking of buying this, you are). Well worth the time investment. This is driving Polk RTi A9s in a 5.2 config. Wow! Did not Bi-amp and it stills drives them nicely! Had to have a unit replacement due to NIC card going out. Crutchfield was very helpful and accommodating. Thanks guys! This receiver would have received 5 stars if the replacement was not needed. With that said I still recommend this Marantz!
Pros: Great sound Lots of input options Lots of speaker options A beautiful centerpiece for any system
Cons: Unfortunately had to have a replacement unit. The Network (tried both wired and wireless) went out within 2 weeks delivery. For a unit at this level, Marantz needs tighten up the QC. But again, Crutchfield came in and stepped up to satisfy the customer, me!
I purchased this receiver to replace a Marantz SR5008 in order to get some of the newer 3D surround sound capabilities. The experience with the SR5008 was terrific but with the SR7009 the experience is nothing short of Awesome. To start, the biggest thing for me was Marantz getting the HDMI return channel interface right now that the unit is equipped with HDMI 2.0 connections. Now I can get rid of the optical audio from my TV to the receiver and use the HDMI return channel for the audio when streaming from my TV. It works perfectly! This unit excels on being able to set it up for any home theater setup. The build quality seems fine to me and the unit remains relatively cool unless you are playing it very loud and the energy savings feature works well. Finally, it comes equipped with HD radio and all the usual applications that are accessible from the net including Bluetooth. What really impressed me was the ability to purchase and download the new Auro-3D Codec decoder. I purchased and downloaded the Auro-3d upgrade and the surround sound is amazing. It really works as advertised even with my minimal 7.1 speaker set-up with only Front Height speakers. I hope Marantz continues to let owners purchase and download new formats and upgrades on a receiver in this price range because other than new surround sound formats, the unit has everything that you would want and it all works well.
Pros: Awesome surround sound. Ability to purchase and download new codec decoders such as Auro-3D, has Audyssey XT32
Cons: None as of yet.
I recently purchased a sr7009 and all seemed well with the unit until it prompted me to upgrade my service. I had not idea what the upgrade was until it suggested for me to pay the fee and received the upgrade. Now I thought it was for the Dolby Atmos upgrade but sadly it wasn't. It was for an upgrade that I could not use. I reached out to the company and they said that it was non-refundable because it was downloaded. I asked if someone could look into my system and see that I cannot use it. They said that the fee was non-refundable. The fee was almost $200. This unit is not cheap. And I never expected the service fees to be cheap either but I believe that someone could have refunded or credited me the fee since I cannot use the upgrade.
Pros: The product itself has been a joy to have. I use to fully to all of my capabilities.
Cons: Communicating with the company takes way too long. I understand that I'm not the only one but it needs to be a faster reply time. By the time that I first emailed them and when they finally had an answer for me it was two weeks later. Be where of all upgrades from them.
Previously updated firmware per Marantz and turned my receiver into an expensive brick. Zero network connection after update. Diagnostics don't work either. Crutchfield shipped out new unit and advised not update for a few months until Marantz works out bugs. Also spoke to Marantz and they were surprised Crutchfield said not to update. Marantz advised might be a wireless channel problem (no other wireless device is having issues and wireless analyzer says channel not busy). I don't think it's a wireless network issue, its a connectivity issue at the receiver level as it also erases favorites each time you sign onto internet radio too. Works fine without update.
This is a fantastic receiver when it works though. Thanks Crutchfield for standing behind your products no questions asked!! Will buy from you again!!
Pros: Power, sound, features and easy setup GUI
Cons: All electronics are now hard drives which require software updates. what used to be simple and reliable is now complicated and problematic.
Marantz needs to fix this..........not a happy customer.....spent almost $2000 and not working properly.
I bought this receiver to upgrade to Dolby Atmos. I replaced an Onkyo TX-NR5010, and I am pleased that I did. I had no issues with the Onkyo's performance, quality, or clarity of sound, but I prefer a warmer sound over the bright sound of Onkyo receivers. I am a home theater installer, and I have had the opportunity to work with many brands of receivers and pre/pros and amps, and my personal conclusions have led me to D&M for my personal HT. The Onkyo seems to be much too bright for my taste, and the engagement of THX processing doesn't correct it enough for my personal recommendation. The Marantz has a setting that allows a roll off on the high end, so the "tinny" type of sound isn't an issue. It seems to have a dynamic range that I prefer, as well as exceptional blending of channels in all modes and decoding abilities. The channel separation is perfectly executed yet it still blends panning of sound throughout all channels. My only complaint is not seeing the display without leaving the panel on the front open, but that is a trivial complaint, as the overall appearance is very well executed (in my opinion) and gives a high quality look.
Pros: Abilities to fully meet expectations and needs of setting up a high end home theater.
Cons: Lack of display visuals w/o leaving the front panel open.
Just received the product and love its flexibility and power- works quite well
Pros: Powerful and flixible
Cons: manual is not sufficiently consumer friendly
This unit was a replacement/upgrade for an older Onkyo 7.1 system that was toasted by lightning. We are movie people, so the appeal of audio from overhead was enticing and took the opportunity to upgrade to this Atmos-capable system.
It was a tough decision choosing between this and the comparable Denon AVR-X5200W. They are both based by the same company, with some internal differences and slightly different capabilities. The Marantz has audio-inputs that will work with my Oppo BDP-95 (though I may never use them, they are there), so I picked it.
The unit sounds amazing and is easy operate and setup. Even for non-Atmos movies, the Dolby "upmixer" sends sound to the overhead speakers.
Several hints: 1. Be sure to have room around the receiver (follow guidelines in instructions) or use a cooling fan. It can get hot. 2. For Dolby Atmos functionality, you must go into your Blu-ray player settings and set Audio to "Bitstream" and "Secondary Audio Off". If you do not, the Atmos features will not work on the receiver. If Atmos is working for an Atmos-enabled disc, it will indicate it on the Marantz front panel 3. Be sure to obtain/read the Dolby Atmos document -- it helps in setting up, understanding, and using the system. This can be found at Dolby's website. 4. Blu-ray Atmos movies out now are Expendables 3, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Transformers 4. More expected (and needed). Expendables has a neat Atmos demo at the beginning.
Pros: Great sound, quality build.
Cons: 1. Sometimes loses the bluetooth or Airplay connection to my iPhone. 2. Hard to find info in the manual 3. The user manual is very clear in some places, but confusing in others (hard to find what you need). This is especially true with correct settings for the Dolby Atmos features. In addition, you may need to contact Marantz 4. Need more Atmos=enabled movies (though all movies benefit)

9-Channel Discrete Amplifier: The Marantz SR7009 is equipped with a power amplifier that reproduces high-fidelity sound in surround mode with equal quality and power for all channels, true to the original sound. The power amplifier circuit adopts a discrete-circuit configuration that achieves high-quality surround sound reproduction. The 9 channel amplifier is rated at 125 watts with 2 channels driven (20-20kHz, 8-ohms, 0.08% THD).
Amplifier Assignment: The SR7009's nine discrete amplifier channels can be configured to accommodate your type of home theater setup.
Exclusive HDAM & Current Feedback Technology : Incorporating technology derived from Marantz's Reference Series components, the SR7009 features Marantz's exclusive HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) system, which combines ultra fast slew rate and maximum dynamic range to deliver optimum sound quality with today's high resolution audio formats. The SR7009 also incorporates Current Feedback instead of the typical voltage feedback configuration. Current Feedback technology provides a wide closed-loop bandwidth and very high slew rate, delivering superior audio fidelity.
Multi-Channel Decoding Formats: The Marantz SR7009 AV receiver supports the following multi-channel (Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Pro Logic) decoding formats.
Note: Dolby Digital and DTS listening modes can only be selected if your audio source is connected to the A/V receiver via a digital audio connection (HDMI, optical, or coaxial). To enjoy true 7.1ch Dolby Digital TrueHD and DTS-HD surround sound, the receiver must be connected to your Blu-ray player via HDMI.
Dolby Atmos: With Dolby Atmos, sound comes alive from all directions, including overhead, to fill your home theater with astonishing clarity, power, detail, and depth. The SR7009 has the processing power to run a more enveloping 7ch or 9ch Dolby Atmos layout using 5.2.2, 5.2.4, 7.2.2, or 7.2.4* configurations utilizing ceiling mounted, or Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers (sold separately). A 5.2.2 speaker configuration is based upon a traditional 5.1 speaker layout complemented by 2 overhead or Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers. A 5.2.4 configuration is based on a 5.1 speaker layout with 4 overhead, or Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers. A 7.2.2 configuration is based on a 7.1 speaker layout with 2 overhead, or Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers. A 7.2.4 configuration is based on a 7.1 speaker layout with 4 overhead, or Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers; *a 7.2.4 configuration requires an additional power amplifier.
Note: Globally, more than 100 cinema blockbusters have been released featuring Dolby Atmos soundtracks in the past two years, and many more are on the way. Major Hollywood studios are partnering with Dolby to create home video versions of current box office releases and previously released favorites for release in 2014 and 2015.
Dolby Surround: Dolby Surround offers an enhanced cinema experience to your Dolby Digital (Plus/TrueHD) and DTS (ES/HD) movie soundtracks using your existing 7.1ch or Dolby Atmos speaker setup. Dolby Surround enhances audio definition by improving the spatial dimension and overall audio definition of movie soundtracks. It does this by using four distinct surround zones that provide greater control over the exact placement of each detail in a movie sound track, so audio can be matched more accurately to the video on screen; this means more depth and greater realism for your movies. As a result, individual sounds are clearer and more distinct. It also improves the surround sound experience across the entire theater by widening the listening "sweet spot".
AURO-3D Upgrade ($199): Auro-3D is the next generation three-dimensional audio standard. It provides a realistic sound experience unlike anything before. By fully immersing the listener in a cocoon of life-like sound, Auro-3D creates the sensation of actually "being there". Thanks to a unique "Height" channel configuration, recorded acoustic reflections are reproduced by these speakers and are heard naturally due to the fact that sounds originate from around as well as above the listener. Once upgraded with the AURO-Codec Decoder, the SR7009 is capable of decoding the original Auro-3D mix and playing back an Auro 10.1 channel configuration.
Direct Listening Modes: The Marantz SR7009 offers two Direct Listening Modes which bypass the receiver's tone & DSP processing for higher sound quality performance. Source Direct provides playback of 2ch or Multichannel audio in its original form, without any surround or tone processing. Pure Direct goes a step further by turning off the receiver's display and analog video circuitry to minimize the possibility of any noised being added to the audio signal.
Stereo Modes: The Marantz SR7009 surround receiver also provides two-channel stereo and multi-channel stereo playback, as well a virtual surround from two stereo speakers. The 2CH Stereo mode is for playing in two channel stereo; bass and treble can be adjusted and sound is output from the front left and right speakers, along with a connected subwoofer. Multi-Channel Stereo mode lets you enjoy stereo sound from all speakers. Virtual Speaker mode lets you enjoy surround effects using only the front speakers or headphones.
Audyssey Platinum: The SR7009 features the Audyssey Platinum suite of powerful DSP features; including MultEQ XT32, Dynamic Volume, Dynamic EQ, and Audyssey DSX.
Surround Parameters: You can adjust the following surround mode parameters:
Audio Enhancements: The Marantz SR7009 receiver provides various audio enhancements to deliver a high-quality listening experience every time.
Level Adjustments: The SR7009 provides the following level adjustments.
Volume Settings: The SR7009 offers the following volume settings.
Audio Inputs/Outputs: The Marantz AV receiver offers a variety of analog and digital audio inputs/outputs.
HDMI Inputs/Outputs: This AV receiver is equipped with eight HDMI inputs (7 rear/1 front) and three HDMI outputs, enabling connection to various HDMI compatible devices such as Blu-ray Disc players, satellite/cable boxes, game consoles, and HD video camcorders. The two parallel HDMI outputs distribute the same video signal simultaneously to two separate displays, while the third discrete HDMI output allows you to play a different audio/video source in another zone. The HDMI jacks can accept and switch 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, or 4K video signals to a HDTV (depending on input).
Note: The AV receiver's HDMI 2.0 jacks do not support the latest HDCP 2.2 copyright protection for 4K ultra-HD content, so it will not support 4K content from satellite/cable providers, online video services, and Blu-ray disc which are copyright protected with HDCP 2.2.
4K Video Upconversion: The Marantz AV receiver's sophisticated video processor provides upconversion from standard definition (480i/480p) and high definition (720p/1080i/1080p) sources to 4K Ultra HD (3840x2160 pixels), which lets you connect all your analog (composite/component) or digital (HDMI) video sources to the SR7009 and then connect to your HDTV with just a single HDMI cable.
HDMI Standby Pass-Through: When the AV receiver is in "Standby" mode and the HDMI Standby Pass-Through function is enabled, both audio/video streams from the receivers HDMI input will be output to your television, via the AV receiver's HDMI monitor output. Once the receiver is turned "On", only video will pass through the monitor output to your TV and the audio is directed to the receiver's speaker outputs.
Analog Video Inputs: The receiver features four composite video inputs (3 rear/1 front), composite video monitor output, and one composite video Zone 2 output. There is also two component video inputs and one component video output (60MHz). The component video output can be used as monitor outputs or Zone 2 outputs.
Picture Mode: The receiver provides Picture Mode to adjust the picture quality for your viewing content and environment. You can select from Standard, Movie, Vivid, Streaming, ISF Day/Night, Custom, or Off. The Custom mode lets you manually adjust Contrast, Brightness, Saturation, Hue, Noise Reduction, and Enhancer (sharpness).
Video Select Function: You can switch the video input source on the receiver while listening to a different audio signal from iPod, USB, CD, Tuner, Online Music, or Bluetooth.
Wired or Wireless Network Connection: The Marantz SR7009 receiver is fitted with a RJ-45 Ethernet (LAN) port to connect the receiver to your home network. The unit also offers built-in WiFi (IEEE 802.11 b/g; 2.4GHz) for a wireless network connection; WPS, WEP, WPA-PSK (TKIP), WPA-PSK (AES), WPA2-PSK (AES) security protection is supported. Either network connection gives the receiver access to your DLNA music server and various online music services. Wireless network setup can be done via WPS button, Access Point Scan, Manual Setting, PIN Code, or even through your Apple iOS device (5.0+). The two included antennas must be connected to the AV receiver in order to use the receiver's built-in WiFi.
Note: Network setup requires that the receiver be connected to your TV via HDMI for display of the on-screen menu. The receiver's network setup cannot be accessed through its front-panel display.
DLNA 1.5 Certified: The SR7009 is DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) 1.5 and Windows 7 compliant for audio and photo networking. This means it's easier for you to access and enjoy digital music and still-images (JPEG) stored on your Windows PC. You can use your PC to play high-bit rate music content through the A/V receiver and view still-images on your connected TV, or use the SR7009's remote control to browse music & photo files on your hard drive. The receiver also supports ID3-Tag (ver.2) and META tag information; so song title, artist name, and album name can be displayed the unit's front-panel display or on-screen menu. In addition the unit will display Album Art on a connected television. The Marantz SR7009 supports the following audio formats, sampling frequencies, and bit rates via its wired network connection.
|Compatible Audio Formats||Sampling Frequencies||Bit rate||Extension|
|WMA (Windows Media Audio)||32/44.1/48 kHz||48-192 kbps||.wma|

Jane convinced me it was a better choice than the Onkyo 737. I knew it was not completely a fair comparison given the price difference. She also showed me the smaller Marantz, but I wanted to be somewhat future proof at this price point, at least for awhile for $300 more it was a no brainer. The open box price helped, plus Crutchfield's service sealed the deal. I love you guys!! You are the best at what you do by a mile! This unit will replace my SR7000 that I bought more than 10 years ago. Totally solid piece of equipment, so it's a fair bet that the new version will be as well. [ R Dec 17, 2015 ]

I was looking to upgrade from my Yamaha RX-V1800 receiver. In looking at the Dolby ATMOS option I decided to give this Marantz unit a try. [ Thomas P. Dec 06, 2015 ]
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: If you are going to have 3 zones then the main zone would be limited to 5.1 only and not 5.1.2. The only way to achieve 5.1.2 or 7.1.2 and a multi-zone setup would be to use additional amps for the other zones. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy Apr 02, 2015 ] Staff
Yes...all of mine are connected with banana plugs for the speaker outputs. [ MARK Jan 29, 2015 ]
After reviewing the manual I do not think the Banana Plug will work. Connecting the speaker cables Carefully check the left (L) and right (R) channels and + (red) and - (black) polarities on the speakers being connected to this unit, and be sure to connect the channels and polarities correctly. Peel off about 10 mm of sheathing from the tip of the speaker cable, then either twist the core wire tightly or terminate it. Turn the speaker terminal counterclockwise to loosen it. Insert the speaker cable's core wire to the hilt into the speaker terminal. Turn the speaker terminal clockwise to tighten it. I have thoroughly enjoyed my SR7009 best Audio/Video purchase I have ever made, replaced a SR-18EX. [ WILLIAM Jan 29, 2015 ]
I just looked at the back of the receiver best I can tell it might accept banana plugs, I have taken 3 pictures of the terminals, I can not say 100% for sure without having a similar plug to try. [ WILLIAM Jan 29, 2015 ]
Definitely, yes. Works great. Sounds great. [ ROBERT Jan 29, 2015 ]
Each output adjusts to resolution of the connected TV. I have 2 TV ONE 4k and other is regular 3D TV and switch works fine. You see a second or two delay while resolution adjusts. [ Sanjay Jan 08, 2015 ]
The AV receiver's HDMI 2.0 jacks do not support the latest HDCP 2.2 copyright protection for 4K ultra-HD content, so it will not support 4K content from satellite/cable providers, online video services, and Blu-ray disc which are copyright protected with HDCP 2.2. [ Jeff Dec 19, 2014 ] Staff
